Jon Styler, a former headteacher at the Church in Wales primary school in Malpas near Newport, Wales, is alleged to have abused '100 plus victims' during his teaching career.
Styler hanged himself while on police bail in 2007, on the day he had been due to present himself to police following an arrest for historic sex offences which were said to have occurred 27 years earlier.
In a letter to his solicitor prior to his death, Styler expressed anxiety about his family and friends finding out about the allegations – which he strenuously denied – being investigated by police.
Now, a solicitor representing several of Styler's alleged victims, claims the former headmaster may have targeted around 100 boys. (more...)
