Europe’s new strategy to hide the rot in Israeli society is to scapegoat Itamar Ben-Gvir

Europe Israel cover-up scandal Itamar Ben-Gvir public relations PR Global Sumud Flotilla abuse rape

European governments are finally being forced to condemn Israel as its crimes have become impossible to ignore. But they are scapegoating National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir rather than confronting the system he represents.

The brutal treatment of activists aboard the Global Sumud Flotilla for Gaza by Israeli forces during their detention in international waters last week triggered a wave of international condemnation, including from many European and other Western countries.

Italy, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Poland, and Greece summoned Israeli ambassadors or envoys to condemn the treatment of activists detained during the interception of the Global Sumud Flotilla. The UK said it was “appalled” by the images of the activists’ detentions. These reactions, however, centered around one figure: Israel’s National Security Minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, who had posted a video of himself overseeing and encouraging the mistreatment of the activists.

The focus on Ben-Gvir was so singular that France’s foreign minister, Jean-Noël Barrot, included in his condemnation post on X a claim that other Israeli officials had rejected Ben-Gvir’s actions.

That much is true: across the Israeli political spectrum, Ben-Gvir became the convenient scapegoat to draw attention away from the entirety of Israeli politics, which differs very little from Ben-Gvir when it comes to the treatment of Palestinians. But the outrage in Israel wasn’t at the treatment itself, but rather the fact that Ben-Gvir revealed it to the world, causing an international embarrassment. The difference is that Ben-Gvir doesn’t care about the PR problem he’s created, while other Israeli officials do.  (more...)

Zionist liars, cheats, racists defend sanctioned Israel minister

Canada Montreal media Rebel News politics Zionists racists genocide ethnic cleansing oppression violence propaganda white supremacy Palestine solidarity

As Israel continues its slaughter, Canadian Zionist groups and politicians are defending a fascist Israeli politician. Itamar Ben-Gvir publishes photos of himself torturing activists and wears a pin celebrating hanging Palestinians, but some Canadians claim activists shouldn’t hang an effigy of the murderous fanatic because he’s Jewish.

On Sunday a Montreal 4 Palestine march included effigies of a handful of political leaders. A photo circulating shows Donald Trump, Benjamin Netanyahu and Itamar Ben Gvir all lined up together in a mock hanging. But Rebel News videographer Guillaume Roy circulated a somewhat hard to make-out video with only the Ben-Gvir effigy, which has his trademark large white kippah, under the tagline “The pro-Hamas group Mtl4Palestine displays the [Montreal] Canadiens flag next to what appears to be an effigy of a Jew wearing a kippah, hanged with a rope.”

Several local Zionist politicians like National Post columnist Leslie Roberts shared it suggesting some type of criminality. Liberal MP Anthony Housefather quote tweeted Roy noting, “hanging an image of a Jew wearing a kippah in effigy is disgusting, antisemitic, and a clear incitement to hatred.” Conservatives Melissa Lantsman and Pierre Poilievre as well as Liberals Evan Solomon, Gary Anandasangaree and Leslie Church all echoed the defence of Ben-Gvir who has been sanctioned by Ottawa for his extreme right wing actions and words.

A few days ago the Israeli National Security Minister posted footage to social media of him mocking activists being tortured after being illegally detained in international waters in a bid to break the genocidal blockade of Gaza. Three weeks ago Ben-Gvir celebrated his 50th birthday with a cake ‘decorated’ by a death penalty noose in reference to a new death penalty law for Palestinian detainees. Decades ago he was blocked from joining the Israeli military because of his violent extremism.

But protesters in Montreal shouldn’t hang Ben-Gvir in effigy, say these Israel supporters. Inciting hatred of Ben-Gvir is a moral baseline.  (more...)

Iran Handala Hackers EXPOSE 69 Israeli Navy Officers, Announce $100K BOUNTY After Gaza Flotilla Raid

Handala Hack #100K bounty Israel navy officers Global Sumud Flotilla abuse activists outrage

An Iran-linked hacking group known as Handala has claimed responsibility for leaking the identities and personal details of 69 Israeli Navy officers online, accusing them of participating in the interception of the Global Sumud Flotilla near Cyprus. The group escalated tensions further by announcing a $100,000 bounty for each officer named in the leak. The flotilla, carrying activists and humanitarian aid for Gaza, was intercepted by Israeli forces in May 2026, sparking international controversy and allegations of abuse during detention. Israel denied the accusations, while Handala issued direct threats toward Israeli officials including Itamar Ben-Gvir amid rapidly escalating cyber and regional tensions.

Mark Carney Should Call For Prosecution of Israeli Minister: Expert

Canada Global Sumud Flotilla Israel prisoners abuse atrocity Mark Carney impunity lawlessness unaccountability

“If Canada believes that such behaviour is ‘unacceptable’ it should prove it.”

Canada and its allies should sanction Israel and call for the prosecution of its minister who posted a video of himself tormenting detainees arrested for trying to deliver aid on board a flotilla to Gaza, human rights experts say.

“If Canada believes that such behaviour is ‘unacceptable’ it should prove it,” Mark Kersten, an assistant professor of criminology and criminal justice who has written a book about the International Criminal Court (ICC) told The Maple by email.

“That means actually doing something, not just saying something. Too often in the wake of such events, Canadian officials denounce them and then move on,” he said.

On Wednesday, Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israel’s minister of national security, posted a video to X with the caption, “Welcome to Israel.”

The clip shows a female activist shout, “Free, Free Palestine.” A man in a mask then grabs the activist by the back of her head and pushes her to the ground.

Ben-Gvir walks by, smiling. The minister also waves the Israeli flag while the activists kneel on the ground with what appear to be zip ties bounding their wrists.

Ben-Gvir is also shown chanting “Am Yisrael Chai,” or “the nation of Israel lives,” at a detainee who has his hands bound.

The video also shows Israeli troops pulling and dragging detainees, who are hunched over facing the ground.

According to a statement from the flotilla organizers, 12 Canadians were among those captured by Israeli forces.  (more...)

How Religious Cults Mirror Political Extremism

Christian Nationalism Germany cults extremism Nazi mind control Grenville Christian College light sessions Community of Jesus abuse cults trafficking

Tackling high-control religious cults, mind control, Community of Jesus, Grenville Christian College, religious cult trauma, Christian nationalism, Trump-era politics, and cult survivor stories... What happens to children raised inside secretive, authoritarian belief systems?

In this episode of Cults, Culture, & Coercion, Dr. Steven Hassan interviews writer and cult survivor Ewan Whyte about his upbringing in the Community of Jesus, a Christian nationalist aligned group that supports right-wing and Trump-era political movements. Dr. Hassan and Whyte discuss how some high-control religious environments intersect with broader political ideologies, and how narratives around “religious freedom” can be used to resist accountability.

Ewan Whyte's work examines life inside authoritarian religious communities. Drawing from his personal experience and research, Whyte describes how children were subjected to intense indoctrination, forced labor, corporal punishment, and “light sessions” which were group confrontation sessions designed to break down individual identity and enforce conformity.

In this conversation, Dr. Hassan and Ewan Whyte explore:

  • How children were systemically separated from their parents within a high-control religious organization
  • The use of “light sessions” as a form of psychological manipulation and mind control
  • Patterns of harsh discipline, boundary violations, and lack of accountability for perpetrators
  • How claims of "religious freedom" can be used to deflect scrutiny and hide abuse
  • The role of indoctrination, fear, and coercion in shaping an individual's identity
  • The long-term psychological impact on people raised in cult environments
  • The legal case involving Grenville Christian College and its findings
  • Connections between authoritarian religious systems and political influence
  • How children were used for labor and restricted from normal development
  • The challenges of leaving a high-control group and rebuilding a life

This episode provides a rare first-hand perspective on life inside a high-control Christian cult and the long-lasting psychological impact of coercive environments, as well as the resilience of those who leave and rebuild.

Cult abuse, mind control, brainwashing, child exploitation, Children of God survivors, religious trauma, coercive control, trafficking, second-generation cult survivors; In this powerful episode of Cults, Culture, and Coercion, Steven Hassan speaks with psychologist and survivor Maria Esguerra about growing up inside one of the most extreme high-control cult groups.

Dr. Hassan welcomes Maria Esguerra, a registered psychologist from Australia who was born and raised in the Children of God (also known as The Family). As a second-generation cult survivor of one of the most oppressive cults, Children of God, Maria brings both lived experience and clinical expertise to a deeply important conversation about cult abuse, trauma, and holding cults accountable for the damage they've caused.

Together, they explore the realities of being raised in a high-control, authoritarian cult environment, including systemic child abuse, lack of medical care, exploitation, and the long-term psychological consequences for survivors. Maria shares how her work with support groups and advocacy aids cult survivors, including helping cult victims pursue justice and speaking before government inquiries into cults.

This episode examines:

  • The distinction between adult coercion and child victimization in cults
  • Why minimizing abuse or “both sides” framing can retraumatize survivors
  • The role of governments, institutions, and mental health systems in failing survivors
  • The concept of trafficking, exploitation, and coercive control within cult environments
  • The importance of centering victims—especially second-generation survivors
  • Accountability, justice, and the ethics of healing in the aftermath of abuse

Maria also discusses her work in mental health and trauma-informed care, highlighting how systemic failures continue to impact survivors who were denied basic rights like education, legal identity documentation, and medical treatment.

Gateway Church, Robert Morris, And The Apostolic Power Structure

Robert Morris New Apostolic Reformation authoritarianism predators untouchable impunity Pentecostalism heresy religion

John examines Gateway Church, Robert Morris, and the broader pattern of authoritarian leadership within apostolic-style church networks. He traces how restoration language, spiritual hierarchy, and claims of untouchable authority can create a structure where serious misconduct is minimized while leaders are protected and returned to influence.

The discussion also connects Gateway Church to wider themes in charismatic and New Apostolic Reformation culture, including power, image management, political reach, and the use of spiritual authority to silence criticism. The result is a historical and theological critique of how unhealthy leadership models can enable repeated harm while preserving institutional loyalty.

Francesca Albanese Warns UN Human Rights Council: "What Is Lost in Palestine Will Be Lost to Us All"

Francesca Albanese UN Human Rights Council Geneva Palestine Occupied Territories crimes against humanity torture genocide

On 23 March 2026, addressing the Human Rights Council in Geneva, Francesca Albanese said she stood before the Council with a deep sense of both injustice and resolve: “I have served this council with rigor and in good faith,” yet had faced “relentless personal threats, insults, and reprisals.” She said she remained committed “to bear witness, to speak the truth, and to reject complicity in this time of unremitting criminality,” as she presented her eighth report, which she described as documenting “the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people.” Her statement focused on what she called Israel’s “widespread and systematic use of torture,” and on a broader “torturous environment” imposed on Palestinians across the occupied Palestinian territory.

Albanese argued that the testimonies and evidence documented in her report were “not just tragic stories of suffering” but “evidence of atrocity crimes,” concluding that “genocide has become the ultimate form of torture: continuous, generational, collective.” She urged states to act under international law, stressing that “Torture is absolutely prohibited in all circumstances, and so is genocide,” and warned that “disregard for international law will not stop in Palestine.” She ended with a stark appeal to the international community, saying: “What is lost in Palestine will be lost to us all.”

“Genocide has become the ultimate form of torture for the Palestinians” Francesca Albanese

Francesca Albanese UN Special Rapporteur Occupied Palestinian Territories genocide torture human rights lawlessness impunity Israel

At a press conference, during the launch of her latest report, Francesca Albanese, UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967, frames her report around what she calls the connection between torture and genocide in the occupied Palestinian territory. She argues that torture is not an isolated abuse but a deliberate system, saying it is “strategic, it is deliberate, and it is integral” to the destruction of Palestinian life and dignity. Drawing on testimonies and documented cases, she describes detention, forced disappearance, sexual violence, starvation, denial of medical care, and the lasting trauma carried by individuals, families, and communities. She says the evidence shows that what is happening is not simply mass detention, but “the normalization of the abuse within it.”

She then broadens the focus beyond prisons, arguing that the entire occupied territory has been turned into what she calls “a torturous environment” where “nowhere is safe.” In her words, suffering is not incidental, “it’s engineered,” with violence, displacement, surveillance, raids, and dehumanization forming part of a larger system. Albanese closes with one of the sharpest lines of the remarks: “Genocide has become the ultimate form of torture for the Palestinians,” and says the report is ultimately a test of whether the international system still has meaning when faced with atrocities that “can wait no longer.”

How Jim Jones Echoed William Branham And Latter Rain Theology

Jim Jones Indiana Jeffersonvile William Branham poverty trauma psychopathy

John and Charles examine the deeper historical and theological links between William Branham, the Latter Rain movement, and Jim Jones. Rather than treating Branham and Jones as connected only by a few shared meetings, they argue that Jones absorbed key Pentecostal and Manifested Sons ideas that later shaped the ideology of People’s Temple.

They also trace Jones’s early life in Indiana, his exposure to Pentecostal and holiness circles, and the way extreme Latter Rain teachings could be used to justify spiritual authority, prophetic identity, and total control over followers. The discussion frames Jones not as an isolated figure, but as someone emerging from a broader religious environment that helps explain both his message and his rise.

Lady Whistleblown: Plymouth Brethren Christian Church -Silenced and Shamed

Plymouth Brethren Christian Church PBCC child abuse cover-up silencing censorship shaming bullying unaccountability religion heresy

Inside the PBCC, when abuse happens, it doesn’t get dealt with properly. It gets turned around, and you grow up being taught that if something went wrong, it must somehow be your fault. Even when you were a kid and had no power in the situation. That shame sticks, and it’s used to keep people quiet.

And if you don’t stay quiet, there are consequences. People get pushed out, cut off, talked about. Right now there are people who have come forward and aren’t even being allowed access to a psychologist. That alone should tell you what’s going on.

This isn’t just a few bad situations. It’s how it works. Protect the image, protect the institution, and deal with anyone who threatens that.

Something has to change. People deserve to be able to speak without losing everything. They deserve proper support, access to therapy of their choice, and real accountability.

Psychologist Maria Esguerra- Child Sexual Abuse in Cults Explained

cults Assembly of God religion fraud child sexual abuse communes fundamentalism fear grooming authority coercion manipulation

We are joined by psychologist and survivor Maria Esguerra, alongside Gilly and Cheryl, to talk openly about child sexual abuse, trauma, and the reality of growing up in high-control groups and cults.

This isn’t an easy conversation to have but it’s an important one. What you’re about to hear brings together both professional insight and lived experience. It’s a conversation grounded in real stories, but also informed by the clinical understanding of trauma and abuse.

We break down:

  • -What child sexual abuse actually is (and what many people misunderstand)
  • -Why so many survivors question: “Does what happened to me count?”
  • -How grooming, authority, and coercion replace obvious violence
  • -The lifelong impact of trauma, shame, and silence
  • -Why survivors often don’t come forward and what happens when they do
  • -How cult environments make abuse harder to recognize, report, and stop

If you’re a survivor, I want you to know this: you are not alone. What you feel makes sense. Your reactions, your confusion, your pain, it all comes from something real. And none of what happened was your fault.

If this isn’t your experience, I ask you to listen with care. Try to understand, even if it’s uncomfortable. Real change starts when people are willing to truly hear and see what others have been through.

Opus Dei Exposed? Journalist Meets Pope Leo in Rare Private Audience

Catholic Opus Dei money laundering banks cults Donald Trump politics influence

Dr. Steven Hassan goes LIVE with investigative journalist Gareth Gore about his book, Opus: The Cult of Dark Money Human Trafficking and Right-Wing Conspiracy inside the Catholic Church. Gore was invited to meet privately with Pope Leo XIV. The Pope was interested to learn about specifics about the deep problems Opus Dei presents to the work of the Vatican.

In this livestream, Dr. Steven Hassan, author of The Cult of Trump and creator of the BITE Model of authoritarian control, speaks with Gareth Gore, the financial UK journalist whose reporting has exposed alleged networks of dark money, coercive control, and exploitation tied to Opus Dei. Together, Hassan and Gore will discuss and analyze how systems of undue influence operate not just in fringe groups, but within powerful global institutions.

Gore’s recent visit to the Vatican marks a highly unusual moment: the Pope asking to meet with Gore to learn. During their unprecedented meeting, Gore presented documentation and survivor accounts related to alleged coercive recruitment, labor exploitation, and systemic abuse - all claims that Opus Dei has denied.

This conversation comes as the Vatican continues reviewing Opus Dei’s statutes and governance structure, following earlier moves to bring the organization under closer oversight. The internal dynamics are complex, with deep divisions between reform-minded leadership and entrenched networks of influence that have operated for decades across politics, media, finance, and education.

Dr. Hassan and Gareth Gore will explore:

  • The significance of the Pope to meet with a critical investigative journalist
  • Internal Vatican tensions over Opus Dei reform and governance
  • How do financial structures and front organizations obscure accountability?
  • The role of influence, obedience, and information control within religious institutions
  • Can institutions with entrenched power structures truly reform from within?
  • Allegations against Opus Dei, which include grooming, trafficking, and psychological manipulation
  • What lessons apply more broadly to political and ideological movements today?

With Opus Dei’s statutes still under Vatican review and amidst growing public scrutiny, this conversation comes at a critical moment. Gore is not willing to disclose what the Pope asked him about but will share what he told the Pope and why former victims and anti-trafficking activists see this meeting as a sign of great hope.

Why Pentecostal Denominations Finally Rejected William Branham

religion heresy Pentecostalism William Branham elitism prophesy

John and Charles examine the 1953 split between William Branham and major Pentecostal denominations, arguing that one of the central ideas in Message belief was developed after church leaders began distancing themselves from Branham. They explore how "come out of her my people" became a defining separation theme, and why Branham's followers later treated that break as proof of prophetic vindication rather than institutional rejection.

The conversation also looks at failed healing claims, missed prophecies, fundraising tied to prophetic promises, and allegations that later tape edits helped protect Branham's image. Using historical context and a quoted account from a Pentecostal leader involved in the investigations, John and Charles argue that denominational sanctions were driven by real concerns over deception, public harm, and spiritual abuse.

Belfast’s Vanished Boys: A State Cover Up?

Northern Ireland Belfast missing boys cover-up history troubles Catholic Protestant abduction

During the winter of 1969, young boys started to disappear from the streets of Belfast, never to be seen again. By 1974, as the Troubles were reaching a bloody and vicious peak, five boys in total had vanished within a five-mile radius. Fifty years later, as the disappearances remain unsolved and families continue to search for answers, filmmaker Des Henderson (How to Defuse a Bomb) reopens these largely forgotten cold-cases, unearthing disturbing revelations in secret state documents to reveal an extraordinary tale of abuse, murder and potential cover up.
