Ontario Provincial Police said the boy was inappropriately touched at school on Remembrance Day.
Police told cp24.com the incident was discovered by the school’s administration.
Both the boy’s parents and police were informed and police began investigating the following day.
Police said Friday that a teacher at the school has been arrested in connection with the case.
Police are continuing to investigate.
Wayne Hepburn, 65, of Guelph has been charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of sexual interference, police said.
He was scheduled to make a court appearance in Orangeville Friday.
