Police smash vile paedophile network where clients offered 'a la carte' menu of child sex abuse online

Police have smashed an international paedophile ring responsible for at least 200,000 sick videos and pictures of child abuse.

Brits are believed to be among 13 people arrested in nine different countries.

They were running a vile online network which allowed website clients to choose from an 'a la carte' menu of child sex abuse.

The gang used codes and secret messages to mask their activities and kept detailed logs of the users so they "knew their specific tastes", police said.

All of them were warned never to reveal their passwords.

"Some of the scenes showed a high content of sexual violence against the minors," said a police spokesman.

The operation involved forces from 26 countries under the banner of "Plus Ultra 2" and was co-ordinated by Europol.

The arrests were made in Spain, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Germany and Serbia.

Two of them are said to be producers of child sex abuse videos.  (more...)
