Growing Hispanic Catholic Population, Low Catholic School Attendance

Fifty-five percent of U.S. Catholics under the age of 18 are Hispanic, but more than 95% of them don’t attend Catholic schools, according to Dr. Hosffman Ospino, an assistant professor of Hispanic ministry and religious education at Boston College’s School of Theology and Ministry as well as the principal investigator for the National Study of Catholic Parishes with Hispanic Ministry.

He says that more must be done to accommodate them in a video interview that appears on the Jesuit University’s website.
