Sexual exploitation of Calgary boy leads to arrest of New Jersey teacher

A New Jersey high school teacher has been arrested after police say he enticed a 13-year-old Calgary boy into criminal sex acts online.

The 29-year-old man has been charged with one count of online enticement of a minor to engage in criminal sexual activity.

The arrest comes after a joint Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT) investigation between it's Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit, Calgary police and U.S. Homeland Security.

It started when a man met the young Calgarian through an online gaming community, and then escalated as the pair communicated through text messages and video chat.

The man allegedly offered to pay the boy in exchange for sexually explicit images and video chats.  (more...)
