Our worst fears are true: the sex curriculum will not change much for Catholic schools


Catholic parents have been waiting for the radical sex curriculum to be adapted for Catholic schools. Cardinal Thomas Collins said that the controversial curriculum would be implemented with a "Catholic lens." However, one Catholic board has already posted the revised curriculum on their website and once we remove the positive sounding rhetoric it's basically the same as what public school are sadly going to teach. Catholic parents should not accept this capitulation. Here's why.

The Ottawa Catholic School Board has released the sex curriculum adapted by the Institute for Catholic Education (ICE); this is the organization that the bishops said had the responsibility to accommodate the sex curriculum for Catholic schools. However, the whole exercise is totally disappointing if parents thought that Catholic education would be protected on the important issues of human sexuality, the definition and meaning of the person and the family.  (more...)
