Parents have the power to change the sex "education" curriculum

Parent leaders talking to the media after a meeting with Premier Wynne
There have been parental protests all across the province in reaction the controversial sex "education" curriculum that the Wynne's Liberal government plans to implement for the school year 2015-16. Some of the locations have been Burlington, Peel, Windsor, Ottawa, Timmins, Mississauga, Scarborough and Queen's Park. However, the premier so far has refused to listen to calls to change the curriculum contents or scrapping the explicit sex topics included in the Health and Physical Education document.

Omar Kasmieh of Parents and Student on Strike is urging parents to keep their children at home next week. He wants the government to seriously address parental concerns about the new sex curriculum. He says, “We want the Ministry (of Education) to know that this is not a small issue. This is a major concern. It is really important for the ministry to look at these concerns.” The protest is for both public and separate schools because the curriculum is anti-Christian, contradicts cultural values and beliefs and violates parental rights. It's a government attack on children's innocence.  (more...)
