Officers responded to William Lyon Mackenzie Collegiate Institute on Tilplain Rd. — near Allen Rd. and Sheppard Ave. W. — on April 25 after receiving a radio call about harassment involving a student, Const. Jenifferjit Sidhu said Saturday.
“Further investigation resulted in a sexual interference investigation,” Sidhu said.
The probe focused on a 21-year-old man who volunteered with the school’s athletics department from Jan. 1, 2014, to Nov. 30, 2014, she said.
“It is alleged that the man made active efforts to befriend a 15-year-old girl and gave her special attention,” Sidhu said, adding the man allegedly sexually assaulted the girl “multiple times.”
