Just in case you thought blogging was pointless -- see what the APA just said about pedophilia!

The reversal of the APA's decision to classify pedophilia as a "sexual orientation" came fast and furious:

We are a humble little blog at English Manif, with only 235,000 hits in our short little 10 months of existence. But these things add up! Blog a little here and there, and things catch on.

For the ligbitists, the APA's wavering holds some conflictual implications. On the one hand, by not elevating pedophilia to a "sexual orientation," the APA avoided feeding the argument from people critical of ligbitism; namely, that pro-homosexual changes would eventually open the door to lower ages of consent.

BUT, if pedophilia is NOT a sexual orientation, then ligbitists can no longer dissociate male-male pederasts (or even, arguably, pedophiles) from the gay community.  (more...)
