On the evening of April 23, 2024, humanitarian activists learned that the departure of the Freedom Flotilla's emergency mission to Gaza had been delayed, yet again, by Turkey's Erdoğan government. When they gathered to receive the news of the delay, survivors of Israel's genocide in Gaza spoke of the horrors they experienced at the hands of the Western-backed Israeli regime.
