Francesca Albanese and the Lonely Road of Defiance

Francesca Albanese defiance UN Special Rapporteur for Occupied Palestine Gaza genocide sanctions repression

The U.N. special rapporteur is one of the most courageous crusaders against the genocide in Gaza. Because of this, she is blacklisted and treated as if she is a terrorist.

It is a late November afternoon. I am driving to Genoa, Italy with Francesca Albanese, the U.N. Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967. We are traveling to join striking dockworkers. The dockworkers call for a moratorium on weapons bound for Israel and a halt to the Italian government’s plans to increase military spending.

We speed past the inky waters of Baie des Anges on our right and the razor-backed French Alps on our left. Châteaus and clusters of houses with red-tiled roofs, shrouded in the fading light, are perched on the rolling hillsides. Palm trees line the seafront road.

Francesca — tall with flecks of gray in her hair and wearing large black-framed glasses and hoop earrings — is the bête noire of Israel and the United States. She was placed on the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) list of the U.S. Treasury Department — normally used to sanction those accused of money laundering or being involved with terrorist organizations — six days after the release of her report, “From economy of occupation to economy of genocide.”

The OFAC list — weaponized by the Trump administration to persecute Francesca and in clear violation of the diplomatic immunity granted to U.N. officials — prohibits any financial institution from having someone on the list as a client. A bank that permits someone on the OFAC list to engage in financial transactions is banned from operating in dollars, faces multimillion-dollar fines and is blocked from international payment systems.

In her report, Francesca lists 48 corporations and institutions, including Palantir Technologies, Lockheed Martin, Alphabet Inc., Amazon, International Business Machines Corporation (IBM), Caterpillar Inc., Microsoft Corporation and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), along with banks and financial firms such as BlackRock, insurers, real estate firms and charities, which in violation of international law, are making billions from the occupation and the genocide of Palestinians.  (more...)

The year that was: How pro-Palestine campaigns disrupt the US-Israeli war alliance in 2025

grass roots Palestine solidarity activism justice accountability campaigns boycotts

In 2025, the global pro-Palestine movement mobilized digital networks, grassroots pressure, and transnational solidarity to challenge and disrupt the deeply entrenched political and military alliance between Western powers and the Israeli regime.

As Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza and its expansionism in the occupied West Bank persisted into 2025 unabated, a constellation of activist networks and digital platforms galvanized international solidarity.

These campaigns did not merely relay news, but they armed citizens with narratives, data, and pressure tactics aimed at dismantling the Israeli-American nexus of power.

Leveraging everything from legal action in foreign courts to public boycott movements targeting the cultural and sporting arenas, the global pro-Palestine movement refused to be sidelined by corporate media or Western governments’ intent on normalizing Israeli violence.

Here is the list of prominent advocacy and justice campaigns that shaped resistance in 2025.  (more...)

How big tech became embedded in 'Israel’s' war, surveillance machine

Big Tech Silicon Valley Israel Gaza genocide AI technology surveillance Microsoft Google Amazon Apple cloud

Investigations reveal how cloud computing, AI, and mass surveillance tools supplied by major tech firms have become deeply embedded in Israeli assaults against Palestinians.

An investigations correspondent at The Guardian, Harry Davies, and +972 Magazine journalist, Yuval Abraham, revealed in January that Microsoft had significantly expanded its relationship with "Israel", alongside other major technology firms.

Since then, The Guardian has published a chilling investigative series, produced in collaboration with the Israeli outlet +972 Magazine and the Israeli publication Local Call, detailing what reporters describe as a mutually reinforcing relationship between Silicon Valley and the Israeli occupation forces.

The investigations uncovered how Israeli military operations have increasingly relied on commercial technologies developed by some of the world’s largest tech companies.

One investigation showed that an Israeli mass surveillance system collected nearly all Palestinian phone calls and stored them on Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure. The reporting triggered an internal inquiry that ultimately led Microsoft to cut "Israel" off from certain technologies.

Another report revealed that the Israeli occupation forces had developed a ChatGPT-like system to analyze data obtained through surveillance of Palestinians. A separate investigation found that Google and Amazon had accepted unusually expansive terms in order to secure a major cloud-computing contract with "Israel".  (more...)

World Council of Churches calls for sanctions, arms embargo against Israel over Gaza war

Israel World Council of Churches arms embargo sanctions Gaza genocide justice accountability

The World Council of Churches (WCC) has called on the European Union (EU) to impose sanctions and an arms embargo on Israel over its genocide in Gaza and violations against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.

In a statement on Wednesday, Iskandar Majlton, local coordinator of the Ecumenical Accompaniment Program in Palestine and Israeli-occupied territories, affiliated with the WCC, said the council’s position is grounded in international law and human rights.

The council was “deeply shocked by the cycle of violence and the immense suffering” in the region, he added.

Majlton described Gaza as facing an “unprecedented humanitarian disaster.” The “tragic cycle of violence”  did not begin in October 2023, but is the result of decades of occupation, the blockade imposed on Gaza, and systematic inequality, he stated.

The warning came as EU humanitarian chief Hadja Lahbib cautioned that Israel’s threat to suspend several aid groups in Gaza from January could block “life-saving” assistance from reaching the population.

"The EU has been clear: the NGO registration law cannot be implemented in its current form," Lahbib posted on X.  (more...)

Iran labels Royal Canadian Navy a ‘terrorist organization’ in response to IRGC designation

Canada navy terrorists Iran military IRGC colonialism imperialism

Iran has officially designated the Royal Canadian Navy as a terrorist organization in response to the “illegal decision” by the Canadian government targeting part of the Iranian Armed Forces.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said the move was taken under the framework of the law “Reciprocal Action Against the US Designation of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) As a Terrorist Organization,” extending the provisions of that law to Canada.

The ministry said Ottawa’s decision to label the IRGC, “which is recognized as one of the pillars of the country’s official armed forces,” violated fundamental principles of international law.

According to the statement, Iran acted based on the principle of reciprocity and Article 7 of the 2019 law, which stipulates that “all countries that in any way follow or support the decision of the United States of America to designate the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps as a terrorist organization shall be subject to reciprocal action.”

On that basis, the ministry said, the Royal Canadian Navy falls under the scope of the law and has been identified and announced as a terrorist organization.

The Foreign Ministry said the decision came in direct response to Canada’s move last year to designate the IRGC, describing it as part of Ottawa’s continued hostile approach toward Tehran.  (more...)

Europe Gone Mad! | A Year in Review with Dr. Karin Kneissl | Sanctions, Drones, and the Ukraine War

Europe irrationality lawlessness Russophobia sanctions deindustrialization militarization economic decline fear

Dr. Karin Kneissl, Austria's former Foreign Minister, diplomat, academic, and journalist, joined me for a year-in-review to discuss some of the most significant events of 2025. The apparent schism between Washington and Brussels, the Ukraine War, and the development of the Arctic are just some of the subjects we examined.

Can Russia and the U.S. enter a new era of rapprochement? Has the E.U. gone mad with its personal sanctions?

What does a blanked out memorial in Ottawa tell us about the counter revolutions of 1989?

In this special edition of the ‘Decline & Fall’ show we look at the Canadian government had to remove the names form a ‘Victims of Communism’ memorial in Ottawa after they all turned out to be fascists. We move from there to look at the counter revolutions of 1989 in Eastern Europe, why these weren’t revolutions at all and should properly be seen as the first ‘color revolutions’.

We also look at the Gorbachevites role in the murder of Nicolae Ceaucescu and how Romania has been destroyed by the restoration of capitalism. We conclude by asking just who the “victims of communism” actually are.

How India Replaced Europe as Israel’s Reliable Arms Supplier

Israel India collaboration arms supply profiteering compliance indifference lawlessness unaccountability moral bankruptcy business war crimes crimes against humanity

Under the banners of “Make in India” and defense indigenization, New Delhi aggressively expanded domestic arms manufacturing—often through joint ventures with Israeli firms themselves.

As Israel’s war on Gaza triggered unprecedented international outrage, a quieter but no less consequential shift took place in the global arms economy. European states that had long supplied Israel with weapons, components, and logistical support began facing legal challenges, parliamentary pressure, labor resistance, and reputational costs.

Exports slowed, licenses were reviewed, and in some cases, shipments were suspended altogether. Into this narrowing space stepped India—methodically, discreetly, and without moral hesitation. In doing so, New Delhi emerged as a substitute supplier at precisely the moment Israel needed dependable partners most.

This transformation was neither sudden nor accidental. It was the outcome of Europe’s legal constraints colliding with India’s strategic ambitions, ideological alignment, and the deliberate construction of a defence manufacturing ecosystem designed to operate beyond human rights scrutiny.

By late 2023, the scale of civilian deaths and infrastructural devastation in Gaza made continued arms exports politically and legally toxic for European governments. Courts in the Netherlands ordered a halt to the transfer of F-35 fighter jet components to Israel, citing the risk of violations of international humanitarian law.

Spain suspended arms shipments. In Belgium and Italy, dockworkers refused to load military cargo bound for Israel. Ireland and other EU states saw growing parliamentary dissent, while Germany—Israel’s strongest European ally—faced legal petitions and rising domestic opposition.

Europe’s dilemma was structural. EU export control rules explicitly prohibit arms transfers where there is a clear risk that weapons may be used to commit war crimes or crimes against humanity. Gaza made that risk impossible to deny. Even governments politically inclined to support Israel found themselves constrained by courts, unions, civil society, and legal frameworks that—however imperfectly – still functioned.

Israel, accustomed to uninterrupted European supply chains, suddenly faced uncertainty.  (more...)

Israel blends ethnic cleansing and human trafficking

Netanyahu Trump Israel ethnic cleansing human trafficking xenophobia South Africa white supremacy Palestinians

On 14 November, South Africa was abuzz with news that about 150 Palestinian refugees from Gaza were being held on the tarmac at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. Even though Palestinians did not require a visa at that time, they were unable to enter the country because they could not tick a few bureaucratic boxes such as having proof of accommodation while in the country.

There was significant pressure from protesters who showed up at the arrivals area in the airport for the Palestinians to be permitted entry. Some civil society organizations also intervened.

When campaigners convinced Cyril Ramaphosa, South Africa’s president, to overrule the callous decision to deny entry taken by the Border Management Authority, most of the Palestinians were allowed to come into the country. Nearly two dozen others were able to board flights for other countries, where they have family or friends.

The buzz involved widespread misinformation shared on social media, as well as in some mainstream news outlets.

One claim made by pro-Israel sources was that the Gift of the Givers Foundation – a humanitarian aid group – had brought the refugees to South Africa and dumped them at the airport. The intent behind this claim was to rile up xenophobic sentiment – which is exactly what happened.

Many social media accounts started claiming that Gift of the Givers’ founder Dr. Imtiaz Sooliman had paid for the flights himself.

One account on X (formerly Twitter) bearing the name Simon Rossouw called Gift of the Givers a terrorist organization and argued that its support for refugees was “a middle finger to all people who died” fighting for freedom from apartheid. Rossouw also warned – without evidence – that “Hamas is now fully entrenched in South Africa.”

Others claimed – again without evidence – that the arrival of the Palestinians in Johannesburg constituted a security risk and blamed the African National Congress (ANC). Even The Kiffness – a racist comedian famous in South Africa – jumped into the fray in his typical Islamophobic manner and had a go at Imtiaz Sooliman.

The danger here was real. The spread of xenophobic rhetoric and violence in South Africa, usually limited to Africans from other parts of the continent, is now also being directed at Palestinians.  (more...)

They Cry Out as They Rape You to Death

IDF Israel Donald Trump rape impunity unaccountability normalization Germany mainstream media cover-up

That antisemitic proverb about them merely "striking you" was an understatement

Last week German journalist Anna Liedtke spoke publicly for the first time about being raped by Israeli soldiers after being kidnapped in international waters in September. If Iran or Venezuela or Russia had kidnapped activists, viciously abused them, and even raped one or more of them, it would have been front page mainstream media headlines for weeks…especially if one of the victims was one of the world’s biggest celebrities. And if Germany had kidnapped a ship full of Jewish activists…well, let’s not even go there. So let’s Google “Israel raped German journalist” to find some of that heavy media coverage.

When mainstream media cover a news story, the link inevitably shows up at the top of Google search results. So the absence of evidence of MSM coverage of Anna Liedke’s story is definitely evidence of absence. (Adding “New York Times” and “Washington Post” to the Google inquiry doesn’t help.)

It’s almost as if the media don’t want us to know that Israel is a nation of rapists and rapist-enablers. Israel prison guards train dogs to rape prisoners. They rape prisoners to death with sticks. Their soldiers take selfies dressing in the underwear of the women and girls they have murdered and/or raped. And most of the Americans who pay for it all have no idea.

The Israeli public loves it. If foreign pressure forces Israeli prosecutors to even look into such a case, a one-in-a-million occurrence, Israelis respond by turning out in huge throngs to support the killer-rapists and make them national heroes. Israel is probably the only country in history with a “right to rape” movement that turns psychopaths who sodomize people to death with sticks into celebrity victims.  (more...)

Pentagon audit reveals 'untracked' billions in US arms sent to Israel

Israel military aid arms audit failure corruption unaccountability

The US War Department recently failed its eighth consecutive financial audit of a trillion-dollar budget, in a 'flagrant disregard for public funds'

A Pentagon audit concluded that the US military did not properly track significant portions of the $13.4 billion in military aid sent to Israel to support the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza, Defense News reported on 29 December.

The audit conducted by the Pentagon’s inspector general revealed that as of November 2024, the US military had maintained records for only 44 percent of the defense articles subject to enhanced monitoring.

Before the genocide in Gaza began, the US military tracked 69 percent of defense articles transferred to Israel.

Oversight of defense articles sold, leased, or exported to foreign partners through end-use monitoring programs is required by US federal law.

The audit further revealed that US Central Command (CENTCOM) and the Defense Security Cooperation Agency “did not conduct adequate oversight of the EEUM program in Israel.”  (more...)

Iranian hacker group ‘Handala’ says it breached Netanyahu chief of staff’s phone

Handala Iran hackers Israel Tzachi Braverman iPhone Qatargate scandal

While Netanyahu's office denied the claims, the group says it will release sensitive data involving Tzachi Braverman's contacts and information regarding the Qatargate scandal

Handala, an Iranian hacker group, claimed on 28 December that it had hacked the phone of a close aide to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and would soon publish sensitive details of corruption involving the prime minister and his inner circle.

The hacker group said it acquired the material by hacking the iPhone of Netanyahu's chief of staff, Tzachi Braverman, who was recently appointed as ambassador to the UK.

According to the hackers, some of the material to be released is linked to "Qatargate," a corruption scandal that erupted in Israel stemming from allegations that Netanyahu and his close advisers enabled, encouraged, or politically benefited from Qatar making payments to Hamas in the years before the 7 October Al-Aqsa Flood operation.

In a post on their X account, the hackers said they had broken into Braverman's iPhone and now possess "encrypted chats, hidden deals, shameful moral and financial indulgences, abuse of power, blackmail, payoffs."

Such a leak would give Iran access to his contacts, Netanyahu's internal security information, and other classified info.

The hackers said they had dubbed the breach "The Gatekeeper's Fall."  (more...)

Mapping Censorship: France’s Empire of Silence Across Europe and Beyond

France censorship silencing Europe narrative control repression Brussels NGOs

On 15 December 2025, the European Union sanctioned Jacques Baud, a Swiss national and independent military analyst, accusing him of spreading “false narratives” on Ukraine and NATO. Officially framed as a safeguard for European democratic resilience, the move exposes a far more troubling reality: a censorship industrial complex in which independent analysis, alternative viewpoints, and rigorous debate are increasingly treated as a national security threat.

Across Europe, unelected bureaucrats in Brussels, supported by a sprawling network of state-aligned NGOs, now wield the power to monitor, flag, and remove content; define disinformation; and impose sanctions, often without meaningful judicial oversight. Laws like the Digital Services Act (DSA) compel platforms to remove or restrict content under threat of fines and give influence to “trusted flaggers,” many handpicked civil society organisations funded by the EU. The so-called trusted flagger status is granted by the Digital Services Coordinator (DSC) of the Member State where the applicant entity is established. DSCs manage the application process, and flaggers are handpicked and funded accordingly. You can review the list of DSA trusted flaggers here. Amongst these authorised flaggers, you can find the National Institute for Holocaust Studies in Romania, “Elie Wiesel” or e-Enfance in France, which just received 2 million euros ( yellow coins scandal) from Brigitte Macron. The level of independence remains questionable.

The Jacques Baud case is not an isolated incident. It exemplifies the systematic targeting of dissenting voices and underscores the urgent need to understand the mechanisms shaping Europe’s public discourse today.

France has emerged as the central architect of Europe’s censorship machinery. Domestically, laws such as the Pleven Law of 1972 created a legal framework empowering organisations to act as quasi-judicial arbiters of speech. Over decades, this system evolved into a bureaucratically and NGO-mediated enforcement ecosystem, blending government agencies, legal bodies, media regulators, and civil society organisations to exert preemptive narrative control over public debate and digital platforms.  (more...)

Understanding the relationship between Zionism and Fascism

fascism Zionism imperialism colonialism Italy Ethiopia racism white supremacy oppression

Despite the mutual admiration between Zionists and fascists, they are usually seen as separate political movements. However, when viewed through the lens of Western racism, colonialism, and imperialism, the connections become clear.

Despite the mutual admiration of Zionists and fascists, both historically and in the present, it is generally considered unhelpful to characterize Zionism as fascism. However, viewing fascism from the perspective of the Black radical tradition, with its emphasis on racialism, colonialism and imperialism, rooted in supremacist ideas of western civilization, helps make fascism a useful concept for understanding Zionism.

In popular definitions of fascism it is detached from nationalism and associated most strongly with authoritarianism. Israel’s self-presentation as a liberal democracy, the result of a national self-determination project, and even an anticolonial Indigenous manifestation, conflicts with dominant ideas of what fascism is. But this approach to fascism is elusive by design. The history of fascism is dominated by liberal historians who mainly do not see racialism, colonialism and imperialism as central to it. Rather, they tend to see fascism as an aberration of the European/western political project.

In contrast, the revolutionary Black imprisoned intellectual, George Jackson, wrote in 1972 that the definition of fascism is not settled because of ‘our insistence on a full definition… looking for exactly identical symptoms from nation-to-nation.’ In fact, fascism is still under development. For the Black radical political scientist, Cedric Robinson, speaking in 1990, because Black political thought is treated as derivative, Black theories of fascism have generally not been considered ‘worthy of investigation’. Rather, popular culture and mass media are informed by mainstream academic fascist studies which constructs fascism as ‘right-wing extremism’ and ‘neurotic authoritarianism’, and ‘fascism proper… restricted to Europe between the First and Second World Wars.’ These western theorists found it very difficult to see fascism as anything other than the ‘dark side of Western civilization’, briefly flirted with but ultimately rejected.

Black theorists, Robinson goes on to say, based themselves on the experiences of the Black masses. They therefore did not see fascism as the ‘inherent national trait’ of Spain, Italy or Germany, but as ‘composed from the ideological, political and technological materials’ of the entirety of Western civilization. Their approach to fascism was shaped by the ‘crushing defeats’ Black people had already sustained in Cuba, Haiti and Liberia well before Mussolini invaded Libya and East Africa. Indeed, they mobilized en masse against Mussolini’s invasion of Ethiopia in 1935 because, as the Black radical intellectual, W.E.B. Du Bois wrote they recognized that ‘other nations have done exactly what Italy is doing’. Italy wanted a slice of the colonial pie that other European powers had kept for themselves. Italian colonization of East Africa was seen as the latest in a litany of attacks on Black life up to and including enslavement which many descended from directly. ‘Anti-fascism,’ Robinson remarks, ‘was thus spontaneously extended throughout the Black world.’  (more...)

Germany Poland domination EU NATO identity culture influence subjugation

The country must do everything to maintain its national identity and independence, Karol Nawrocki has said

Poland must remain “ready to defend the western border” with Germany, President Karol Nawrocki has declared. The remarks drew pushback from Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, who insisted that as long as Germany is an EU and NATO member, it poses no threat.

Nawrocki delivered his warning on Saturday at an event marking the anniversary of a 1918 uprising against German rule, recalling that Poles had lived under “severe German imperialism” during historical partitions, when “aggressive” efforts were made to “take away our culture and national heritage.”

Poland, he said, is a “national community open to the west, but also a national community ready to defend the western border of the republic.” Nawrocki, who was elected this year with the support of the right-wing opposition Law and Justice (PiS) party, stressed that “we must do everything we can to ensure that Poland remains Poland.”

The remarks drew an immediate response from Foreign Minister Sikorski. “As long as Germany is in NATO and the EU, and is governed by Christian or social democrats, there is no threat to our western border,” Sikorski said.  (more...)

In the past few weeks, the EU and Canada have committed well over US$100 billion in new 'loans' for Ukraine. What they're not telling you is that these 'loans' will never be repaid.

The real purpose of this financing is to keep the military-industrial gravy train rolling for as long as possible. Eventually, the gravy train will stop. When that happens, Ukraine will be destroyed - and NATO states will be left to pay for the clean-up.

In this episode, Dimitri Lascaris argues that Ukraine is effectively bankrupt. NATO governments are lying about Ukraine's capacity to repay is burgeoning debts. In effect, they're running a massive ponzi scheme.

Explainer – Friedrich Merz’s Scheme To Rearm Germany By Stealing Russian Money To Pay The Bill, Stealing AfD Votes To Keep Power

Friedrich Merz Germany finance fascism war Ukraine AfD

Friedrich Merz — Germany’s chancellor for just eight months with only 28%  of the vote —  is a Joseph Kennedy  fascist. That’s the line which Kennedy, then US Ambassador to the UK, ran to President Franklin Roosevelt between 1938 and 1940 — “fascism is the cure of communism”.

Now that there’s no more communism to cure in Russia, the old rationale for making war against Russia has lost its camouflage and is revealed in Merz’s policies as rearming Germany to defend against a Russian attack Merz is both fabricating and provoking. He has been hoping to convince the Trump Administration that he’s their best candidate in Europe to wage this war and pay Trump’s asking price for his weapons – except that the German state budget doesn’t have enough cash and lacks the Bundestag votes to raise borrowing limits and taxes.

Merz has also been trying to convince German voters whose support for the Alternative for Germany (AfD) now outnumbers supporters of Merz’s Christian Democratic Union (CDU) to switch their votes to him. But so far Merz is failing: since September he is growing weaker in the polls and the AfD has crossed over him.

The trajectory of the German aerospace and defence stock index also reveals that since August there has been a change of mind among Germany’s money men: the index line for the state’s warmaking industries has topped and started downward as investors and banks lending to them have begun to lose confidence in the future revenues, profits,  and share price gains of Merz’s war against Russia.

Once calling Merz “a very strong person and a very strong leader”    who had “just won a great election, very, very strong election”,    President Donald Trump has also begun to lose confidence in the German. But not quite as much as President Vladimir Putin at a Defense Ministry meeting this week, who called Merz, along with French President Emmanuel Macron,  “podsvinki” – little pigs running behind the hog.   (more...)

Is it too late to pull back from the brink?

Decline and Fall

British Empire America hegemony collapse degeneracy eugenics depopulation racism white supremacy Rome emasculation

The British Empire, in steep decline on the eve of World War I, is a cautionary tale for a decayed U.S. Empire a century later.

At the start of the 20th century, the British Empire was, like our own, in terminal decline. Sixty percent of Englishmen were physically unfit for military service, as are 77 percent of American youth. The Liberal Party, like the Democratic Party, while it acknowledged the need for reform, did little to address the economic and social inequalities that saw the working class condemned to live in substandard housing, breathe polluted air, be denied basic sanitation and health care and forced to work in punishing and poorly paid jobs.

The Tory government, in response, formed an Inter-Departmental Committee on Physical Deterioration to examine the “deterioration of certain classes of the population,” meaning, of course, the urban poor. It became known as the report on “the degeneracy of our race.” Analogies were swiftly drawn, with much accuracy, with the decadence and degeneracy of the late Roman Empire.

Rudyard Kipling, who romanticized and mythologized the British Empire and its military, in his 1902 poem “The Islanders,” warned the British that they had grown complacent and flaccid from hubris, indolence and privilege. They were unprepared to sustain the Empire. He despaired of the loss of martial spirit by the “sons of the sheltered city — unmade, unhandled, unmeet,” and called for mandatory conscription. He excoriated the British military for its increasing reliance on mercenaries and colonial troops, “the men who could shoot and ride,” just as mercenaries and militias increasingly augment American forces overseas.

Kipling damned the British public for its preoccupation with “trinkets” and spectator sports, including “the flannel fools at the wicket or the muddied oafs at the goals,” athletes whom he believed should have been fighting in the war in South Africa. He foresaw in the succession of British military disasters during the South African Boer War, which had recently ended, the impending loss of British global dominance, much as the two decades of military fiascos in the Middle East have eroded U.S. hegemony.

The preoccupation with physical decline, also interpreted as moral decline, is what led Secretary of War Pete Hegseth to decry “fat generals,” and order women in the military to meet the “highest male standards” for physical fitness. It is what is behind his “Warrior Ethos Tasking,” plans to enhance physical fitness, grooming standards and military readiness.

We live in an eerily similar historical moment. Britain, within 12 years of Kipling’s lament, was plunged into the collective suicide of World War I, a conflict that took the lives of over a million British and Commonwealth troops and doomed the British Empire.  (more...)

The cardinal vowed that Gaza’s residents, like those in Bethlehem, would “continue to celebrate every day and return to rebuild everything anew.”

The Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, said on Wednesday that the Gaza Strip carries “a message of resilience and hope” despite widespread destruction caused by Israel’s two-year genocidal assault on the enclave, the Anadolu news agency reported.

“Our hearts today are with Gaza, where there is total destruction,” Pizzaballa said in comments upon arrival in the West Bank city of Bethlehem to lead a midnight Christmas Mass.

“Yet despite everything, its people still have a passion for life, a will to rejoice and a refusal to surrender,” he added.

Christian denominations that follow the Western calendar mark Christmas with a midnight Mass on December 24–25, while churches that follow the Eastern calendar celebrate on January 7.

Pizzaballa said Gaza’s residents, like those in Bethlehem, would begin again despite the devastation.

“We will celebrate in Gaza and in Bethlehem. We will continue to celebrate every day and return to rebuild everything anew,” he added.  (more...)

Kneecap, the Irish hip hop group, was widely criticized by Israel’s supporters earlier in the year after using its performance at the Coachella festival in California to denounce the genocidal war against Gaza.

In the aftermath of the event, the band found itself at the center of controversy, with concerts canceled, reports that its members had lost their US work visas, and even terrorist charges being brought against one of them by the British state.

Yet through it all, the three members of the band – who go by the stage names Móglaí Bap, Mo Chara and DJ Próvaí – have refused to remain silent, continuing to raise awareness, campaign and participate in practical initiatives to support the Palestinian people.

In an interview with The Electronic Intifada, Kneecap’s Móglaí Bap (given name: Naoise Ó Cairealláin) spoke about the band’s activism.

Hailing from Belfast, Móglaí Bap attributed his support for the Palestinian cause to his upbringing in the British-occupied north of Ireland.

“Growing up in Belfast, we were more aware of the politics of colonialism and the consistent trends associated with it,” he explained. “And what we have in Palestine is colonialism.”  (more...)

Epstein Trump infanticide witness files FBI DOJ crime complicity

The recently-released tranche of additional documents tied to Jeffrey Epstein include remarks by a woman identifying as one of the victims of the late disgraced financier and convicted sex trafficker, in which she refers to Donald Trump as a witness to the killing and disposal of the body of her infant.

The US Department of Justice released the documents numbering tens of thousands, which include FBI tips and complaints implicating Trump, on Wednesday.

Reports emerging on Friday across various outlets, including the UK edition of American online newspaper The International Business Times, pointed to inclusion in the documents of an FBI intake form dated March 3, 2020 recording a complaint from the unnamed woman.

The complainant said she had been trafficked at age 13 in the early 1980s and described an incident in 1984 involving the killing of her newborn child aboard a yacht in Mona Lake, Michigan.

According to the document, the woman said her uncle had carried out the killing and disposed of the body in the water.

The filing lists Trump as a witness to the incident.  (more...)

“This Has Redefined Israel's Global Identity”: Israeli Weapons Industry Bullish After Genocide

Israel Tel Aviv weapons industry DefenseTech startup nation moral bankruptcy Zionism militarism technology

Drop Site News obtained audio of this months weapons conference in Tel Aviv

At a recent military technology conference in Tel Aviv, Israeli weapons companies made some of their most explicit remarks yet connecting the value of their products to the real-world testing of that firepower on Palestinians in Gaza. A recording of the conference remarks was obtained by Drop Site News and includes comments from the president and CEO of the Israel Aerospace Industries as well as executives at Elbit Systems, RAFAEL Advanced Defense Systems, and others. The conference was called DefenseTech Week and was held in early December. Drop Site shared the audio with independent news outlets in Brazil, Ireland, Australia, and elsewhere; those outlets will be producing their own investigations.

The Israeli weapons industry has previously come in for criticism for its willingness to boast that its products are “lab tested” on human beings under occupation, most prominently by Australian journalist Anthony Lowenstein. His book, The Palestine Laboratory, was adapted into a Drop Site podcast last year.

The newly uncovered remarks suggest that, rather than having been chastened by global condemnation for the genocide in Gaza, the nation’s weapons industry is emboldened by it. “The war that we faced in the last two years enables most of our products to become valid for the rest of the world,” boasted Boaz Levy, head of Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), on day one of the conference. “Starting with Gaza and moving on to Iran and to Yemen, I would say that many, many products of IAI were there.”

The military itself was well represented at the gathering. Major General (Res.) Amir Baram is director general of the Israel Ministry of Defense and also gave remarks on the first day. “These are not lab projects or powerpoint concepts,” he said. “They are combat proven systems. This is what defense tech means in Israel and this has redefined Israel’s global identity. For years, Israel was known worldwide as a cyber nation. Today, we have evolved into a true defense tech nation.”

Gili Drob-Heistein, executive director of the Blavatnik Interdisciplinary Cyber Research Center, said that the two years of unleashing Israeli weapons technology on Palestinians had helped transition Israel from a “startup nation” to a global player in the defense industry.  (more...)

Catholic Anti-Semitism: The Lie That Refuses to Die

Catholic racism anti-Semitism Judaism supercessionism Oxford Ignatius Press

Hear ye another parable. There was a man an householder, who planted a vineyard, and made a hedge round about it, and dug in it a press, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen; and went into a strange country. And when the time of the fruits drew nigh, he sent his servants to the husbandmen that they might receive the fruits thereof. And the husbandmen laying hands on his servants, beat one, and killed another, and stoned another. Again he sent other servants more than the former; and they did to them in like manner. And last of all he sent to them his son, saying: They will reverence my son. But the husbandmen seeing the son, said among themselves: This is the heir: come, let us kill him, and we shall have his inheritance. And taking him, they cast him forth out of the vineyard, and killed him. When therefore the lord of the vineyard shall come, what will he do to those husbandmen? They say to him: He will bring those evil men to an evil end; and will let out his vineyard to other husbandmen, that shall render him the fruit in due season.

Jesus saith to them: Have you never read in the Scriptures: The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner? By the Lord this has been done; and it is wonderful in our eyes.

Therefore I say to you, that the kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and shall be given to a nation yielding the fruits thereof. And whosoever shall fall on this stone, shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it shall grind him to powder.

And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they knew that he spoke of them. And seeking to lay hands on him, they feared the multitudes: because they held him as a prophet.

Christmas from Dbayeh: Lebanon's only Christian Palestinian Refugee Camp

Palestine Christian refugees Lebanon Nakbah Christmas poverty oppression genocide

Laith Marouf visits Dbayeh Palestinian refugee camp north of Beirut, Lebanon, where most of the inhabitants are Christian Palestinian refugees from the village of al-Bassa, outside Akka in Occupied Palestine.

Al-Bassa was ethnically cleansed and razed to the ground by Jewish Supremacist death-squads in May 1948, as happened to over 800 villages and over 800’000 Palestinians who became refugees during the Nakbah.

Laith talks to locals, and to Father Joseph Raffoul the Priest of the Church in the camp, to witness their preparations for Christmas in the time of Genocide, and to bring their hopes and wishes to the world.

Dennis Bennett, Wimber & Britain’s Charismatic Shift: A Deep Dive

England Wales America Toronto Blessing Charismatic Pentecostalism William Branham revivalism Alpha Course dopamine emotionalism music addiction

John Collins and John Garvey discuss the strange evolution of Britain’s charismatic movement—from early Anglican involvement and university-era enthusiasm to the influence of Dennis Bennett, the Full Gospel Businessmen, and later John Wimber and the Kansas City Prophets. Garvey recounts firsthand experiences with failed prophecies, emotional manipulation, and the slow shift from Scripture-centered worship toward experience-driven spirituality. Together they trace how charismatic practices crossed the Atlantic, blended with British evangelical respectability, and created an environment where prophecy, spiritual gifts, and experiential worship were welcomed without adequate discernment.

The conversation also explores how worship music, emotional highs, and the rise of celebrity “worship leaders” reshaped the culture of local churches, paving the way for modern movements tied to Bethel, Hillsong, and NAR-style theology. John and Garvey unpack concerns over the Alpha Course’s “Holy Spirit weekend,” imported American revivalism, the diminishing role of biblical teaching, and how addictive emotional experiences can blur the line between genuine faith and spiritual counterfeits. The discussion exposes the long arc that connects historical Pentecostalism to today’s global charismatic trends.

The Slaughter of the Innocents

Christianity Matthew 2 Slaughter of the Innocents music

With the arrival of the true King, the serpent lashes out in fury. "The Slaughter of the Innocents" is the darkest and most aggressive track on the album, detailing Herod's paranoid rage from Matthew 2. This is the enemy's brutal counter-attack. Fusing thrash and power metal, the song's furious verses capture Herod's murderous decree, while the crushingly heavy chorus becomes a sorrowful lament for the first martyrs of the Christian faith. This track serves as a violent reminder that the light of Christ's kingdom provokes a desperate, vicious response from the powers of darkness.

Rant of the Week: Merry Intifada Christmas

Zionism intifada Greta Thunberg arrest free speech censorship Warsaw Uprising genocide repression hasbara

Within days of the massacre on Sydney's Bondi Beach, Australian politicians declared their intention to ban the phrase "globalize the intifada" and place new restrictions on pro-Palestine protests.

In addition, British police arrested two protesters for using the word "intifada" at a demonstration in London.

Zionists in the Canadian media did not hesitate to follow the lead of Australian and British authorities. Canada's largest newspapers and most prominent zionist 'journalists' joined the call for criminalizing the phrase "globalize the initifada".

In his latest Rant of the Week, Dimitri Lascaris dissects the logic behind the latest wave of anti-Palestinian censorship and declares that no Zionist has the right to dictate what language we employ to oppose Israel's genocidal regime.
