The time for a U.S. arms embargo on Israel is now

US Israel arms embargo opposition unpopularity funding dissent

The U.S. is starting talks on a new military aid deal for Israel as support for the country hits an all-time low. Israel’s supporters are feeling the pressure and pushing for cosmetic changes, but don’t fall for it. We need a full arms embargo

Israel’s standing among the U.S. public is at an all-time low after Americans have witnessed two- and-one-half years of live-streamed Israeli genocide of Palestinians in Gaza, fueled by tens of billions of dollars of U.S. taxpayer-provided weapons and diplomatic cover.

Last August, a Quinnipiac poll found that 60 percent of all Americans, including 75 percent of Democrats and 66 percent of independents, opposed U.S. military funding for Israel while only 32 percent supported it.

Even Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu seems to recognize the unpopularity of asking U.S. taxpayers to further subsidize weapons to Israel. In an interview with 60 Minutes earlier this month, Netanyahu suggested transitioning from “aid” to a “partnership.”

This was not a surprise. Netanyahu had announced earlier this year that he wanted to “taper off” formal U.S. taxpayer-funded weapons, known as Foreign Military Financing (FMF), to Israel over the next decade, in favor of increased co-production and co-development of weapons between Israeli and U.S. weapons manufacturers. This proposal garnered the backing of pro-Israel stalwart Sen. Lindsey Graham and aligns with proposals for strengthening the U.S.-Israeli relationship put forward by The Heritage Foundation and the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD), two pro-Trump think tanks with a hard-edged anti-Palestinian animus and clear pro-Israel agendas.

However, American taxpayers should be aware of the bait-and-switch nature of these proposals, especially as the U.S. and Israel now enter into negotiations for a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that will outline the parameters of the bilateral military relationship over the next decade.  (more...)

In 2026, the lines of global conflict have shifted. It is no longer just East vs. West; it is the People vs. the Technocracy. In this deep dive, we explore how the Western managerial class has effectively subverted traditional democratic structures in favor of an algorithmic administrative state. Meanwhile, we analyze the strategic pivots of Russia and China as they position themselves not as aggressors, but as defensive bulwarks preserving national sovereignty against a globalized technocratic order.

U.S. Pauses Key Defence Accord Despite Carney’s Military Spending Hike

Donald Trump Mark Carney politics military Canada US defence accord NATO

U.S. undersecretary claimed Canada “has failed to make credible progress on its defense commitments.”

United States President Donald Trump’s Undersecretary of War Elbridge Colby announced yesterday that the Americans will be pausing a joint defence policy board because he claimed Canada “has failed to make credible progress on its defense commitments.”

This is despite the Mark Carney government’s promises to spend an additional $81.8 billion on the military over the next five years and to reach the Trump regime’s demand that all NATO members spend 5 per cent of their GDPs on the military by 2035.

For Canada, that figure amounts to $150 billion in annual spending on the military and related infrastructure.

Writing on X, Colby said: “A strong Canada that prioritizes hard power over rhetoric benefits us all. Unfortunately, Canada has failed to make credible progress on its defense commitments. DoW is pausing the Permanent Joint Board on Defense to reassess how this forum benefits shared North American defense.”

“We can no longer avoid the gaps between rhetoric and reality. Real powers must sustain our rhetoric with shared defense and security responsibilities,” he added, including a link to Prime Minister Mark Carney’s speech at Davos in January, in which he spoke of the fading “rules based order.”

The Permanent Joint Board on Defense was established during the Second World War in 1940 and constitutes a key piece of Canada’s deep military integration with the U.S.  (more...)

Another U.S. refinery goes up in flames: 45 major refinery explosions/fires reported over the last month and a half

energy oil refineries explosions fires destruction fear economy

Trump, meanwhile, says he "doesn't even think about" Americans' increasing financial hardships as a result of his Iran war.

More than 45 oil and gas refineries have reported fires and explosions globally in the last month and a half, marking a significant increase over what’s considered “normal” in the way of industrial accidents.

The drastic uptick in explosions is being racked up to warfare in places like Russia and “accidents” in the United States, Mexico, Australia, Romania and India.

TRT World reports:

“Taken together, they point to an energy system operating under unusual pressure at a moment of global instability.”

On Monday, May 11, firefighters in Tulsa, Oklahoma, responded to a fire at the HF Sinclair refinery around 11 a.m., with dramatic video showing massive flames and thick black smoke rising from the facility. Officials have not yet determined the cause of the fire, and no information has been released about possible injuries.  (more...)

Ben Rubin and Brian Gerrish discuss the central role played by Jeffrey Epstein in developing the financing model that underpins the United Nations’ (UN) Sustainable Development Goals and Impact Investing agendas, as well as the Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) that will be used to enforce compliance across the entire global economic system.

The conversation draws on UK Column’s own extensive research into the UN, World Economic Forum (WEF), and Bank for International Settlements (BIS) programmes, as well as an exceptional series of articles written by Esc Key.

Epstein Advised U.S. Treasury on Crypto During Obama’s Iran Sanctions Push

Jeffrey Epstein US Treasury Department cryptocurrency Tether finance

Treasury officials consulted with Jeffrey Epstein about using cryptocurrency during negotiations with Iran over nuclear deal, even as he made investments in blockchain technology.

Today, shipping companies are paying cryptocurrency tolls to Tehran for passage through the Strait of Hormuz, as the Iranian government seeks to shield payments from seizure by the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control. Roughly $8 billion flowed through Iran’s cryptocurrency exchanges last year, and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) moves billions more through foreign exchanges like Binance, where Chinese firms can secretly pay for Iranian oil without fear of U.S. retaliation.

More than a decade ago, however, the Iranian government was reluctant to embrace cryptocurrency, suspicious of possible U.S. involvement in the development of Bitcoin. The U.S. was dubious about the technology as well, seeing it principally as a way to sidestep financial controls.

“The U.S. government thinks Iran can use bitcoin to bypass all the sanctions and Iran thinks this is all a game by the CIA,” a spokesperson for CoinAva, Iran’s first crypto exchange, told CoinDesk in 2013. Even so, Iran’s National Cyberspace Center began the process of regulating digital currencies in March 2014, while looking for hedges against the pressure of U.S. sanctions.

The U.S. hesitance around cryptocurrency is evident in the emails of Jeffrey Epstein—a figure who was keenly interested in developing cryptocurrency and consulted on it with the U.S. Treasury Department. Epstein’s interventions came at a time when the U.S. was pursuing a détente with Iran over its nuclear program, and the growth and development of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies were beginning to reshape the global financial landscape. (All the emails are linked and available to read on Jmail—the indispensable, searchable inbox of Epstein’s emails that mimics Gmail.)  (more...)

Applying tax rules targets ‘Jewish people’: Israeli consul

politics Canadian tax law CRA Israel interference violation influence lobby

Zionists believe they’re above Canadian law. A Liberal MP recently stood before Parliament to demand his government intercede to ignore the rules.

In response to a sixty-page report submitted to the Canada Revenue Agency calling for an investigation into 11 school charities assisting the Israeli military in probable violation of charity rules, Liberal MP Anthony Housefather called for Parliament to denounce a “deeply troubling complaint filed with the Canada Revenue Agency and targeting 11 Jewish schools in Montreal and Toronto.” He added, “The CRA must be unequivocal that it will not allow tax laws to be weaponized against any group.”

In this case “weaponizing” CRA rules seems to be a euphemism for applying them.

The Just Peace Advocates led report asks the CRA to investigate whether the 11 state subsidized groups are violating rules stating that “supporting the armed forces of another country is not” charitable activity. Additionally, the report co-sponsored by the Canadian Foreign Policy Institute mentions the Foreign Enlistment Act, which criminalizes “inducing” Canadians to join another country’s armed forces.

Picking up from the Liberal MP’s push to protect law breakers, Mark Goldberg explicitly demanded the revenue minister intercede to demand the CRA ignore its rules. The self-declared “Zionist” posted, “MP for Mount Royal Anthony Housefather makes a statement in Commons seeking Canada Revenue Agency being unequivocal in not allowing tax laws to be weaponized against Canadian Jewish Institutions. Will Minister of Finance and National Revenue Francois Philippe Champagne provide that assurance?”

By law the CRA operates independently of the government and is mandated to enforce the Income Tax Act. As such, a minister directing the CRA to ignore schools violating charity rules would be illegal.  (more...)

Say it now: No war bank in our city, no city for war bank

Canada NATO DSRB war bank politics greed

Most Canadian politicians, even self-described left-wing ones, seem to want a war bank in their city. Apparently, they don’t care about starving social programs, linking finance to arms production or the violence it will spur.

On Thursday leftist Quebec Solidaire (QS) defended Montreal’s bid to host the new NATO war bank Canada was recently selected to house. In response to a La Presse report that those heading Toronto’s bid for the Defence, Security and Resilience Bank (DSRB) have raised the unreliability of Montréal’s candidacy due to the possibility of another referendum on Quebec independence, QS’ Sol Zanetti criticized the “campaign of fear” targeting the city’s bid. Choosing militarist nationalism over the party’s purported pacifist anti-NATO position, the co-leader of QS said, “Montreal has everything to host any organization and it has nothing to envy Toronto for.”

In Toronto mayor Olivia Chow, a former NDP MP, is promoting that city’s bid for an institution set to further marry investment agencies and major banks with arms producers. In BC the NDP premier has promoted Vancouver as a site for a bank that will offer low-cost loans to countries boosting military spending.

The federal NDP appears to have stayed mum on Canada hosting a multilateral financial institution, like the World Bank, to facilitate ‘allied’ military buildup. New NDP leader Avi Lewis has stayed silent on the DSRB despite it generally being easier to derail a project before it has begun.  (more...)

Prominent Christian Zionist Group Is Lobbying U.S. Lawmakers on Israel—Without Revealing It's Funded by Israel

Christian Zionists funding Israel religion fraud heresy cults MAGA lobbying politics

This week, Eagles’ Wings is spearheading a push on Capitol Hill against Israel’s public relations crisis. They don’t disclose their $700,000 Israeli check.

On Monday night, over 500 people packed into the Ronald Reagan Building in downtown D.C. to kickoff Israel Advocacy Day—a major pro-Israel lobbying push on Capitol Hill spearheaded by Eagles’ Wings, a New York-based Christian Zionist organization. During a break in the evening’s programming, a list of sponsors of the event appeared on screen. The list included the National Religious Broadcasters, the Jewish Federations of North America, and Israel365, a group that organized a trip of MAGA influencers to Israel last year.

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs was not advertised as a supporter—despite funding upwards of half of the lobbying push. Eagles’ Wings was secretly paid a total of $700,000 by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, $245,000 of which was allocated for its lobbying efforts this year, according to a previously unreported Israeli procurement document.

Robert Stearns, a pastor and the founder of Eagles’ Wings, did pause to thank Tammy Ben-Haim, a Ministry official, for attending—but left it at that.

The lobbying campaign plans to hold more than 100 meetings across Capitol Hill this week. “We would welcome the opportunity to meet with you to discuss the U.S.-Israel relationship,” reads a meeting invite sent to a Democratic Congressional staffer obtained by Drop Site.  (more...)

National Coalition Promises To Fight Canada’s War Bank

Canada War Bank NATO finance weapons militarization

“Security comes from funding homes, food and education. Security does not come from an economy built on war.”

It was January 2026 when Canada’s anti-war organizers realized what they were dealing with. Activists from groups like World Beyond War and Davenport For Palestine jumped on a Zoom call to discuss Toronto’s bid to host a new global bank that will fund the arms industry.

The organizers, who mostly knew each other from Palestine solidarity protests and Signal chats, created a document and got together online to look for information about the bank.

“Could it really be that this was a financial institution whose sole purpose was to channel money into arms manufacturing?,” Rachel Small, an organizer for World Beyond War Canada, said they wanted to figure out. “Yes, that is indeed what it is.”

“That was definitely when we coined it a ‘war bank.’”

Since then, Small and her fellow activists held dozens of one-on-one conversations with organizers from the student movement, labour unions, and civil society groups to build what they hope will be a national movement to stop the bank from coming to fruition in Canada.

On Friday, at a press conference in the heart of Toronto’s financial district, they launched their campaign with the slogan: “Stop the DSRB: No war bank in our city.”

The “Defense, Security and Resilience Bank,” or DSRB, was originally an idea proposed by NATO. Last week, Canada was officially selected as the host country, and some of its major cities — Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal — are vying for the chance to host the bank’s headquarters.

“The last thing Canada needs is a new military financial arms race,” said Sharmeen Khan, a member of World Beyond War Toronto, at the press conference. “Security comes from funding homes, food and education. Security does not come from an economy built on war.”  (more...)
