Cyber Group Handala Says IranWire Has Been Hacked

 

The cyber group “Handala” announced it has hacked and taken control of IranWire, a media outlet it described as “anti-Iranian.”

In a statement, the group said it carried out what it called a “complex and targeted operation” and successfully gained full access to IranWire, which it said operates under the direct guidance and support of the CIA.

Handala added that a large volume of documents—including communications, full lists of collaborators and infiltrators, and highly sensitive data—has been extracted and securely encrypted, with plans to transfer it to the intelligence agencies of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The group further stated that “from this moment onward, there is no safe space for betrayal or espionage,” adding that all individuals who had any cooperation or communication with the outlet in past years, or who transferred photos, videos, or coordinates to foreign services, have been identified and are now under continuous surveillance by what it called the “Axis of Resistance.”

It warned that any attempt to delete data or sever connections would be ineffective, saying its cyber network has penetrated multiple layers of communication systems and infrastructure, allowing all suspicious activity to be rapidly detected and recorded.  (more...)

In filmmaker Annemarie Jacir’s new film, Palestine 36, one of the most pivotal moments in Palestine’s history is brought to life for the first time through cinema.

In this episode of The Chris Hedges Report, host Chris Hedges speaks with Jacir about the 1936–39 Palestinian uprising against British colonial rule — a mass revolt that laid the groundwork for the modern Palestinian struggle, and also the crushing of Palestine’s organizational infrastructure that culminated into the founding of the Zionist state a decade later.

Jacir explains that this period represents “the beginning of the national movement for liberation in Palestine,” emphasizing its scale and significance as “the first really mass uprising” that spread from “countryside to city” and “across classes.” For her, revisiting this moment is essential to understanding everything that followed, as “it sets up everything for the Nakba in 1948 and the loss of Palestine.”

Jacir explains how her film reconstructs not only the revolt itself but also the conditions that shaped it—British colonialism, offensive attacks on Palestinian labor, and the exploitation of the Palestinian elite’s fractured nature and ambitions for power. In her research, Jacir says she was struck by the extent of that brutality, noting, “I was really… surprised… I’d never really heard about that under the British,” only to later uncover detailed accounts in archival records, including testimonies from British soldiers themselves. In fact, “it’s the blueprint of military occupation that we live today,” she says.

But Jacir frames Palestine 36 as more than a historical drama. It is, she says, about “a moment of real possibility” and the moral choices faced by those living under oppression. Even during production—disrupted by the war in Gaza—the film’s themes felt urgently contemporary. “There is no past and present,” she reflects. “We’re still living the same thing.”

This comes as the NPF is being sued over $3.39 million in payments to some of those board members.

Since October 7, the Palestinian kuffiyeh has been criminalized by German authorities and institutions out of support for Israel and Zionism. A new campaign is challenging this “hypocritical and deceitful ‘culture of remembrance.’”

For more than ten years now, Germany has seen a large-scale campaign against alleged antisemitism that in reality targets nothing more than criticism of Zionism – or even criticism of Israeli policy. This campaign has been driven primarily by the major political parties, the mainstream media, and several foundations, and initially focused above all on the arts and cultural sectors. Those targeted included the Cameroonian historian Achille Mbembe, the U.S. philosopher Judith Butler, the Israeli sociologist Moshe Zuckermann, the former director of the Jewish Museum Berlin Peter Schäfer, the British musician Roger Waters, and the late Syrian artist Burhan Karkutli. For a long time, the main goal was to defame and criminalize the global BDS movement. Commemoration of the Nakba was also turned into a taboo.

In the early years, these intensified campaigns were still masked as “discourses” in order to give them a liberal veneer. A few voices spoke out publicly against them, for example the Australian historian and genocide scholar Dirk Moses with his noteworthy 2021 essay “The German Catechism.” But the debates provoked by him and others largely remained confined to the cultural pages of bourgeois newspapers.

All of this changed in October 2023. The uprising in Gaza and the genocide that followed at Israel’s hands revived solidarity with Palestine in Germany. Tens of thousands poured into the streets day after day, week after week. The attacks by the authorities – from police violence to censorship and bans to the destruction of people’s livelihoods – suddenly affected a critical mass. And this was a movement that marched, resisted, and made itself heard. 

Since then, the Palestine solidarity movement has sought to carry the struggle into every public space and fight it there: from the streets to cultural institutions, trade unions, university campuses and lecture halls, and even courtrooms. Even the Bundestag is no longer free of protest by spectators and individual members of parliament. Memorial sites for the victims of German fascism are no longer exempt either.  (more...)

U of T must learn from history and cut ties with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem

At this point, it’s an open secret that U of T has financial and institutional ties to Israel.  

Israel is a settler-state that has been committing genocide in Gaza for over two years, while continuing to enforce its illegal occupation and apartheid oppression of Palestinians in the Occupied West Bank. To resist this oppression, Palestinians have called on the world to support the movement for Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) on Israel. 

U of T does not have a policy that prohibits its endowment from being invested in weapons companies, whose products have been used in Gaza to bomb universities and murder thousands of students. Additionally, U of T continues to partner with Israeli universities and institutions deeply complicit in colonial violence and human rights violations. 

Beyond investments, U of T has extensive ties and partnerships to Israeli institutions and universities, including Tel Aviv University, Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, and, worst of all, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, otherwise known as HUJI. 

I believe that cutting U of T’s institutional ties to Israeli universities is key to pressuring Israel to comply with international law. Israeli security leaders are on record stating that an academic boycott of Israeli universities is a threat of the highest order. So much so that universities like HUJI outline specific propaganda strategies against academic boycotts.  (more...)

Israel blocks top Catholic leaders from Palm Sunday Mass at Holy Sepulchre

 

Church bodies in Jerusalem say move sets grave precedent and is 'tainted by improper considerations'

Israeli forces blocked two senior Catholic leaders from reaching the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in occupied East Jerusalem to celebrate Palm Sunday Mass.

The Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem and the Custody of the Holy Land said Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, the Latin patriarch, and Father Francesco Ielpo, custos of the Holy Land, were stopped en route to the church.

The leaders had attempted to enter privately without any ceremonial procession or public gathering, but were refused access.

The church bodies said this was the first time in centuries that the heads of the Catholic Church had been prevented from celebrating Palm Sunday Mass at the Holy Sepulchre.

“This incident is a grave precedent, and disregards the sensibilities of billions of people around the world who, during this week, look to Jerusalem,” they said.

The move drew sharp criticism from several European countries.

Italy summoned Israel’s ambassador in Rome, with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni calling the decision “an offence to the faithful”.

French President Emmanuel Macron said freedom of worship “for all religions” must be guaranteed in Jerusalem.

“I condemn this decision by the Israeli police,” he wrote on X, warning it adds to “a worrying series of violations” affecting holy sites.  (more...)

And if you don’t stay quiet, there are consequences. People get pushed out, cut off, talked about. Right now there are people who have come forward and aren’t even being allowed access to a psychologist. That alone should tell you what’s going on.

This isn’t just a few bad situations. It’s how it works. Protect the image, protect the institution, and deal with anyone who threatens that.

Something has to change. People deserve to be able to speak without losing everything. They deserve proper support, access to therapy of their choice, and real accountability.

On 1 March 2026, Iranian forces launched drone strikes against Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centres in the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, coinciding with the first day of intensified regional hostilities following US and Zionist strikes that eliminated Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

These operations damaged three facilities: two in the UAE suffered direct hits, igniting fires and forcing power shutdowns, while a Bahrain site sustained structural impact from a nearby drone explosion. AWS confirmed the incidents, noting structural damage, disrupted power delivery, and water-related issues from fire suppression activities, leading to prolonged recovery for affected services.

The strikes triggered widespread outages across banking, payment systems, delivery platforms, and enterprise software throughout the region. Specific impacts included downtime for apps like Uber, Careem, and local banking platforms such as those from Emirates NBD and Bahrain Islamic Bank, with core AWS services like EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, and RDS experiencing degraded performance or temporary halts, as Fortune details. AWS advised clients to migrate workloads away from the impacted zones (ME-CENTRAL-1 and ME-SOUTH-1 regions), highlighting the cascading effects on Gulf economies heavily reliant on cloud computing.

Analysts view this as a watershed in modern conflict, where commercial data centres transition from civilian assets to strategic military targets due to their role in hosting dual-use AI and intelligence workloads, as Fortune reports. The US military utilises AWS for certain operations, including running Anthropic’s Claude model for intelligence tasks, raising questions about the facilities' dual civilian-military nature. AWS stated in its status update, as Reuters reports: “In the UAE, two of our facilities were directly struck, while in Bahrain, a drone strike in close proximity to one of our facilities caused physical impact to our infrastructure”.

No fatalities occurred, as multiple reports confirm, but the psychological and economic ripple effects proved significant, exposing vulnerabilities in air defence coverage for critical infrastructure.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility through state-affiliated channels, framing the strikes as measured responses to perceived threats. Fars News Agency reported via Telegram that the Bahrain facility was specifically chosen “to identify the role of these centers in supporting the enemy’s military and intelligence activities”.  (more...)

A moral fracture in the fabric of Western civilization is becoming increasingly apparent. Those who identify themselves as part of the “rules-based order” have displayed conduct that only defies international law, but is downright Satanic. Military campaigns nothing short of population wars, or what is cynically described as “shock and awe,” continue to affect civilian populations across the Middle East—in places such as Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, and Iran. Meanwhile, powerful figures associated with the “Epstein class” and allegations of crimes against underage women are shielded, or excused by individuals who publicly champion “democracy” and “human rights” abroad.

As the Trump Administration unconvincingly talks about “negotiations” and “pauses” on strikes against Iran’s energy infrastructure, multiple thousands of American troops are currently being positioned in the region, presumably for a disastrous ground invasion. The supposed “pause” in attacks is also betrayed by Israel’s current attacks targeting Iranian steel plants, power plants, and nuclear power plants in Iran.

Those who delude themselves into thinking President Trump is playing some kind of “three-dimensional chess” should maybe consider the fact that it is instead a “three-dementia chess” clouding Trump’s mind at the moment. Instead of making observations and mostly wrong analyses of what is happening, the American people must respond through their moral conscience, and demand accountability from their representatives and others who have abdicated their responsibility to stop illegal wars.

That moral spirit is exemplified by the actions of former U.S. military servicemen who have previously fought for their nation under the belief they were doing something right.

A National Press Club event on Thursday, March 26, featured military veterans, including Ray McGovern, a former intelligence officer and founder of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS); Anthony Aguilar, a former Special Forces Green Beret who witnessed war crimes in Gaza and has served in every conflict area since 9/11; Josephine Guilbeau, a U.S. intelligence officer and soldier; and Brian McGinnis, a former U.S. Marine who intervened in a public hearing in Congress and had his hand broken by a U.S. senator.

Among these individuals, two—Anthony and Brian—are running for Congress in North Carolina. All of those presenters have been featured in meetings of the International Peace Coalition (IPC), organized and initiated by Schiller Institute Chairwomen Helga Zepp-LaRouche. This demonstration of principle must be replicated among the U.S. population, who may not have served in conflict but are nevertheless responsible for self-government, as prescribed in the U.S. Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. That sense of duty, along with an understanding of American economist and statesman Lyndon LaRouche’s physical-economic proposals for the world, including his Oasis Plan in Southwest Asia, can chart a different course for the U.S. and the world if adopted now.

Israeli power in Canada is stunning. Toronto cancelling its flag raising is the latest example.

On Thursday Toronto city council voted to scrap a decades old tradition of flying foreign flags at government buildings. With half the city born outside of Canada, the practice was supposed to celebrate Toronto’s global heritage. But raising the Palestine flag was a step too far for the city’s power structure. When Canada formally recognized Palestine in the fall the city was compelled to heed community pressure and raise the long-occupied nation’s flag. In response genocidal Jewish supremacists went berserk, turning to the courts to stymie it. That failed but they kept at it as Tafsik posted in response to Thursday’s flag cancelation vote. The fanatic Jewish supremacist group noted:

“Tafsik stood at the front lines, filing a bold injunction to halt the raising of the Palestinian flag at City Hall.

“While that initial skirmish did not go our way, it was merely the opening move in a much larger campaign.

“Today, we stand triumphant. We have won the long game.

“Through unwavering persistence, we have ensured that the Palestinian flag will never again fly over Toronto City Hall. There is no place in our halls of government for a symbol birthed by the terrorist legacy of Yasser Arafat.”

As one extremist group trampled on a city tradition, another hardline genocidal Jewish supremacist organization defied university norms to host genocidaires soldiers. On Thursday Students Supporting Israel at Toronto Metropolitan University hosted soldiers of a military under investigation by the International Criminal Court for war crimes and crimes against humanity. As per the publicity for the event, the IOF soldiers were to share “first-hand experience” of genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. Reportedly, this is the fourth time Toronto Metropolitan University has allowed the group to host IOF soldiers despite policy restricting student groups’ activities (a student group wouldn’t be allowed to bring Russian soldiers to speak about fighting in Ukraine or a Palestinian resistance fighter).  (more...)

William Luther Pierce is the author of the iconic, influential book The Turner Diaries, the document that profoundly influenced the Nazi terror group The Order and particularly Timothy McVeigh and his associates in the execution of the Oklahoma City Bombing.

In 1998, he did a radio broadcast titled “Stay Out of Tall Buildings.”

In that program, Pierce had some telling prognostications: “ . . . . In one chilling commentary Pierce, (after noting that Bin Laden and the rest of the lost generation of angry Moslem youth had it with their parents’ compromises and were hell bent on revenge against infidel America) issued this stark, prophetic warning in a 1998 radio address titled, ‘Stay Out of Tall Buildings.’ ‘New Yorkers who work in tall office buildings anything close to the size of the World Trade Center might consider wearing hard hats . . .’ Pierce warned. . . . [Italics are mine—D.E.].”

Pierce also predicted that Osama bin Laden was coming and the U.S. would be hit with biological warfare attacks.

Pierce’s comments are not only prophetic of what was to take place in the U.S. on 9/11/2001 but foreshadowed the anthrax attacks that followed.

Coincidence is further stretched by analysis of Pierce’s tract and ideological manifesto The Turner Diaries. That book’s key episodes may be seen as foreshadowing key aspects of the 9/11 attacks.

That book (again, authored by the above-mentioned William Pierce) concludes with a low-level suicide aerial attack against the Pentagon. “ . . . . We went over every possibility we could think of, and we came up with no really convincing plan—except, perhaps one. That is to make an air delivery of a bomb. . . . ‘Visceral horror’: UN rights body condemns US strike on Iranian school

 

The UN Human Rights Council held an emergency session to universally condemn a deadly US missile strike on an Iranian elementary school, demanding immediate accountability for the massacre of over 170 students and teachers.

The urgent debate was convened in Geneva on Friday at the request of the Islamic Republic of Iran, China, and Cuba.

It focused on addressing the February 28 US-Israeli terrorist strike against the Shajare Tayyebe Elementary school in the southern Iranian city of Minab, which occurred on the first day of the war of aggression.

Speaking at the start of the session, Volker Türk, the UN high commissioner for human rights, stated that the deadly bombing "evoked a visceral horror," telling the United Nations' top rights body that the slaughter of civilians is unjustifiable.

He emphasized that "whatever differences countries have, we can all agree they will not be solved by killing schoolchildren."

“The images of bombed-out classrooms and grieving parents showed clearly who pays the highest price for war: civilians with no power in the decisions that led to conflict," Türk said.

He noted the victims included, "In this case, a reported 168 pupils, teachers, school staff, and their loved ones."

Stressing the need for justice "for the terrible harm done," Türk added, "the onus is on those who carried out the attack to investigate it promptly, impartially, transparently and thoroughly."

"Senior US officials have said the strike is under investigation," he noted, calling for that "process to be concluded as soon as possible, and for its findings to be made public."  (more...)

Nigeria’s Anglican body has said it cannot accept Sarah Mullally as a leader and cites her support for same-sex blessings

The Anglican Church of Nigeria has formally rejected the appointment of the first-ever female archbishop of Canterbury.

Nigerian archbishop, metropolitan and primate of the Church of Nigeria, Henry Ndukuba, described the election of Sarah Mullally as “a double jeopardy” – first for imposing female headship on those who cannot accept it, and second for promoting “a strong supporter of same-sex marriage.” 

In a statement posted on Facebook on Monday, Ndukuba questioned how Mullally “hopes to mend the already torn fabric of the Anglican Communion” given ongoing debates over same-sex marriage.

He said Nigeria, as part of the Global Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans (GAFCON), “reaffirms [its] earlier stance to uphold the authority of the Scriptures” and rejects what he called “the revisionist agenda” within parts of the Communion.

“This election is a further confirmation that the global Anglican world could no longer accept the leadership of the Church of England and that of the Archbishop of Canterbury,” Ndukuba stated.  (more...)

Trump Has No Soul

 

Trump is dangerous not simply because of his imbecility and unbridled narcissism, but because he lacks the core attributes of empathy and understanding that define the human soul.

The most profound realities of human existence are often the ones that can never be measured or quantified. Wisdom. Beauty. Truth. Compassion. Courage. Love. Loneliness. Grief. The struggle to face our own mortality. A life of meaning.

But perhaps the greatest conundrum is the concept of a soul. Do we have a soul? Do societies have souls? And, most basically, what is a soul?

Philosophers and theologians, including Plato, Aristotle, Augustine and Arthur Schopenhauer, have all grappled with the concept of a soul, with Schopenhauer preferring to define the mystical force within us as will. Sigmund Freud used the Greek word psyche. But most have accepted, whatever the definition, some version of a soul’s existence.

While the concept of the soul is opaque, soullessness is not. Soullessness means something inside of us is dead. Basic human feelings and connections are shut down. Those without souls lack empathy. I saw the soulless in war. Those so calcified inside they kill without any demonstrable feeling or remorse.

The soulless exist in a state of insatiable self-worship. The idol they have erected to themselves must be constantly fed. It demands a never-ending stream of victims. It demands abject obedience and subservience, publicly on display at Trump cabinet meetings.  (more...)

Those promoting violence across western Asia are hammering at our civil liberties. Authoritarian Zionism has made significant gains in recent days.

Monday the Toronto police announced they would ban protests in a neighbourhood because three in ten people living there are Jewish. They conceded to the months-long push by genocidal Jewish supremacists to suppress a weekly rally at Bathurst and Sheppard. Police announced that protesters won’t be permitted to march on side streets and might be barred from the intersection they’ve been rallying at for over a year (initially launched in response to a “Rally for Israel” taking place there).

Concurrently, Toronto police chief Myron Demkiw announced the creation of a Counter-Terrorism Security Unit. According to Demkiw, the new unit will “substantially increase the resources dedicated to countering terrorism and violent extremism, supported by robust analytical capacity and dedicated leadership.” Demkiw said, “Torontonians can expect to see Toronto Police officers deployed with tactical capabilities, including patrol rifles.” Framed as a response to shots fired at empty synagogues and the US consulate earlier in the month, police patrolling with semi-automatic machine guns is designed to intimidate opponents of Jewish supremacist colonialism. Already, the Toronto police operate the anti-Palestinian Project Resolute.

Ten days ago, Ontario premier Doug Ford sought to ban a major pro-Palestinian demonstration in the city. After a decade-long Zionist push to bar Al-Quds Day, the premier instigated a last-minute injunction to ban the protest. Fortunately, a judge dismissed the bid.

Ford pursued the repressive action a day after meeting with Israel’s ambassador. Iddo Moed explicitly demanded the suppression of Canadian civil liberties to protect his lawless rampaging state from criticism. According to a Canadian Press report, “Moed suggested Canada has to constrain certain freedoms in order to stop the influence of nefarious actors.” Moed told a B’nai Brith forum, “We have a very clear objective this year, and that is to create a significant change in the way antisemitism is being dealt with here in Canada. It is hard for a liberal person to think that we have to limit other people’s freedoms, so that our freedom will be protected. But that’s where we are right now.”

As per the Canadian Press, the ambassador’s meeting with Canadian Jewish organizations was part of a broader push by the Israeli government to suppress Canadian civil liberties.  (more...)

United Nations expert Francesca Albanese's latest report warns that Israel is systematically torturing Palestinians on a scale that "suggests collective vengeance and destructive intent" and that "torture has effectively become state policy" since October 2023.

Steffen Seibert, Germany’s ambassador in Tel Aviv, ought to know.

A few days ago, Seibert declared his sadness at what he called a “violent settler rampage in Palestinian villages.” Soon after making that comment, he was accused by Gideon Saar, Israel’s foreign minister, of an “obsession with Jews living in Judea and Samaria.”

Saar managed to pack quite a lot of deception into his brief outburst.

The term “Judea and Samaria” is itself deceptive as it implies that the Bible lends legitimacy to Israel’s illegal occupation of the West Bank and all its attendant brutality.

The idea that Seibert harbors an “obsession” about settlers in the West Bank and their thuggery is deceptive, too. The ambassador generally portrays Israel – the state building the settlements in the West Bank – as a victim, rather than a perpetrator of violence.

Saar concluded his rant by saying it is “good to know a new ambassador will soon arrive – one who will strengthen Israel-Germany relations.”

The inference that those relations had weakened during Seibert’s stint in Tel Aviv is similarly deceptive.

Seibert has held his current post since 2022. On his watch, Germany has been the second largest weapons exporter to Israel; the US is at number one.

By definition, then, Germany is the second largest enabler of Israel’s crimes against humanity, including the Gaza genocide. If that is what happens when relations are supposed to be strained, imagine how much worse things could be if Germany and Israel sang in perfect harmony.  (more...)

UN votes to denounce slave trade as ‘gravest crime against humanity’, calls for reparatory justice

 

The United Nations has voted to condemn trafficking of enslaved Africans as “the gravest crime against humanity” in history, calling for reparatory justice while urging the West to return the looted heritage.

On Wednesday, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a non-binding resolution describing the trafficking of enslaved Africans “the gravest crime against humanity”, calling for reparations as “a concrete step towards remedying historical wrongs.”

Of the 193-member world body, 123 members voted in favor, 52 states, including the United Kingdom and members of the European Union, were abstentions, while the United States, Israel and Argentina voted against the landmark resolution, which had been proposed by Ghana’s President John Dramani Mahama.

“Let it be recorded that when history beckoned, we did what was right for the memory of millions who suffered the indignity of slavery,” Mahama stressed after the passing of the resolution, which was backed by the African Union (AU) and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). 

Ghana’s president, whose country has been at the forefront of an effort across Africa and the Caribbean for reparatory justice, also lamented the erasure of Black history and censorship of teaching the “truth of slavery, segregation and racism” in American schools.  (more...)
