Chris Spence plagiarism hearing delayed

“Additional evidence” in the Chris Spence thesis investigation has delayed a University of Toronto hearing scheduled for this month into allegations he plagiarized materials for his doctorate.

Spence resigned as head of the Toronto District School Board in January after accusations he had used others’ material without credit in articles, blogs and even his thesis at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at U of T.

The Star identified five lengthy segments in the first 33 pages of his dissertation that were similar or identical to passages found in other sources.  (more...)
