Silly TDSB Trustee Wants Olympic Uniforms To Have Gay Pride Rainbows

Howard Goodman, TDSB trustee for Eglinton-Lawrence writes in his letter to the Toronto Star:
I know that Hockey Canada, the Canadian Olympic Committee, and Nike need to add this season’s must-have accessory at the Sochi games — two prominent rainbow flag patches: one on the jersey’s left shoulder (to balance the Nike swoop) and one on the right sleeve.
The jackets for the opening and closing ceremonies should have rainbow patches. As should the hoods of our bobsleds, the helmets of our skaters, skiers, snowboarders, and lugers, and of course on the the sweaters and brooms of our curlers. So that at every event, Canada’s stand on gay rights, on human rights, is unavoidable.  (more...)
