White Supremacists Have No Place In The Canadian Armed Forces

Five individuals in the video below are reportedly members of the Canadian Armed Forces. And, on Canada Day, they went to a Mi'kmaq event in Halifax, held to remember missing and murdered Indigenous women.

They weren't there as members of our military, or to show support. They were there because they wanted to attack the Mi'kmaq. They were there because they said they are part of the white supremacist group, the Proud Boys.

The Proud Boys are a hate group founded and led by Rebel Media star Gavin McInnes. McInnes has written on the Rebel's website about how he hates Jews, calls blacks "monkeys," calls himself "anti-Semitic," says Jews should "get over" the Holocaust, and authors essays titled "I'm Not a Racist, Sexist, or a Homophobe, You Nigger Slut Faggot."

The Proud Boys and McInnes are what they are: racist, anti-Semitic human garbage. They're on the record, and the record is clear. That's not the issue, here.

The issue is that these are people celebrating after attacking a group of peaceful Indigenous people, and four of them are giving white power salutes in a Halifax bar. That's the issue.  (more...)

  1. In England and its colonies, flying the flag upside down is not a desecration. It is a sign of distress, which was appropriate in the context of the ceremony at which it was flown. See: https://www.reference.com/world-view/people-hang-american-flag-upside-down-5da9d04ea1fcaa69

  2. I would look into this with more detail. This is what happens when we go from post christian to post-post christian. We are no longer brothers and sisters in Christ, now we are just competing tribes. This will get worse, because our governments have been using identity politics as a tool for so long.
Eventually calling all white guys racist all the time might lead them to say, "Well, if by the colour of my skin, I am a racist, I might as well act like one..."

This will get worse, Christ and objective morality is the only solution, but no one is interested...

    1. McInnes and Kinsella are both Catholic, although they come across more like competing Bolsheviks. I have known native elders who were very pious and traditional Catholics. Away from modern society, you will still find true Christians. I think it's men like these who are more likely to point the way to the solution you desire.
