The Charter of the Rights of the Family ought be a better-known Vatican document. In Canada and all Western countries, the family has been under attack for decades. Canada recognized same-sex marriage on July 20, 2005. The push is to stop using words like mother and father and substitute them with parent A and parent B or other generic terms. Have you not noticed how often people now say, "significant other" to cover any number of roles? Instead of husband and wife in marriage contracts, new references can be used such as partner A and partner B. Along with these changing terms, governments have legally recognizing a number of other arrangements as a "family." These new "legally" created social structures can be two men, two women, two women and a man, two men and a woman with or without children and the list goes on. (
