A Markham vice-principal who was acquitted of sexually assaulting a male high school student faces further allegations of inappropriate behaviour involving seven other male students as part of a new Ontario College of Teachers investigation.

It was announced on Tuesday that Paul Paterson, the suspended administrator at Markham’s St. Robert Catholic High School, on Leslie Street, just south of Hwy. 7, in Thornhill, will face allegations arising from eight students in all.

Some of the complaints involve him allegedly asking if he could see a student’s penis, telling another student who was sleeping at his house that “if you masturbate, don’t forget to clean up,” and demanding another student strip of jeans and underwear so Paterson could “search” him “for drugs.”

It’s further alleged in the Ontario College of Teachers' notice of hearing that Paterson told another student that he was a specialist in “sexually transmitted disease,” so he could inspect the student to make sure he was clean.  (more...)
