“Ukrainians in Ohio are raising their children in the spirit of Ukrainian nationalism! Way to go!” recently declared the leader of OUN-B, or the Banderite faction of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists, after seeing a video by 18-year-old Yuriy Kmiotek from Parma, Ohio.

But Kmiotek, a self-described “paleoconservative” whose hobbies include dressing up as a perpetrator of the “Holocaust by Bullets,” is no typical Ukrainian American teenager, even if he grew up in the adopted hometown of Ukrainian Nazi death camp guard Ivan Demjanjuk.

Sitting in front of a scarf with the face of Stepan Bandera, Kmiotek once explained in a Youtube video that one of his political inspirations is neo-Nazi incel Nick Fuentes. Kmiotek is obviously gunning to be the OUN-B point person in the Cleveland area, where the Banderite network has mostly died off. Presumably that explains why he is being encouraged to go for it.

The history of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) in the United States is older than most would guess. In 1934, the Young Ukrainian Nationalists of Cleveland took pledges from Omelian Senyk, a Ukrainian terrorist leader, to “do their duty toward Ukraine according to the principles of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists,” which was then just five years old. A month earlier, the OUN had killed the Interior Minister of Poland, and Senyk was allegedly involved in ordering the assassination that coincided with his fundraising campaign in North America.  (more...)

Unarmed Algerian Muslims demonstrating in central Paris against a discriminatory curfew were beaten, shot, garotted and even drowned by police and special troops. Thousands were rounded up and taken to detention centers around the city and the prefecture of police, where there were more beatings and killings.

How many died? No one seems to know for sure, even now. Probably around 200.

It seems astonishing today, from this perspective, that such a thing could happen in the middle of a major Western capital closely covered by the international media. This was not Kabul, Beijing, Hebron or some Bosnian backwater, after all, but the City of Light – Paris.

But the Fifth Republic under President Charles de Gaulle was in trouble in October 1961. De Gaulle, who was primarily interested in establishing France’s pre-eminent position in Western Europe and the world, found himself presiding over domestic chaos. France was constantly disrupted by strikes and protests by farmers and workers, as well as by terrorism from opposing organizations: the Front de Libération Nationale (FLN), representing the Algerian nationalist independence movement, and the Organisation Armée Secrète (OAS), a group of disaffected soldiers, politicians and others committed to keeping Algeria French. The OAS rightly perceived that de Gaulle was bound to free France from the burden of its last major colonial holding, so he could get on with the business of making France the economic and political power of his lofty ambition.

Classified documents from the Canadian Armed Forces and an interview reveal the longstanding and criminal tactic of using Nazi/fascist forces to incite cultural divisions in Eastern Europe. The documents originally appearing in Canada Declassified, and a prominent Serbian socialist’s knowledge and first-hand experience, reveal that this tactic was used before Ukraine. 

These tactics culminated in the artificial creation of Kosovo, in violation of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244, which only recognizes Serbia. They’ve also been used to invent justification for Canada's current and active participation in the continued plot of propping up the artificial state of Kosovo to this day, much to the dismay of, and against the will of, the Serbians still living there.

Vladimir Krsljanin, the current secretary of the Serbian committee of the Slobodan Milosevic International Committee and the International Relations Secretary of the Socialist Party of Serbia during its reign in 1992, agreed to speak with The Canada Files.  

Krsljanin revealed that the president of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1992 was particularly favoured by NATO due to his and his army’s Nazi origins. 

Alija Izetbegovic, the ‘founding president’ of Bosnia and Herzegovina, also helped found the Young Muslims organisation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Young Muslims incidentally had reached out to Amin Al-Husseini, the rabid anti-semitic and pro-Nazi imam, to get the favour of Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini towards their own plans for an independent Islamic region of the Bosnik part of then-Yugoslavia. This culminated in the largely Muslim contingent known as the 13th Waffen SS Handschar division, of which primary recruits were Young Muslims members, including Alija Izetbegovic himself.  (more...)

Victoria Police probes cop's social media boast on Neo-Nazi rally

 

Concerns mount as police refuse to investigate officers' failure to stop Nazi salute at Parliament House.

Victoria police will investigate social media posts by an officer who allegedly boasted that his son was part of a neo-Nazi rally at Parliament House in March.

But police command has said they will not investigate officers’ failure to stop the rally.

Victorian police copped criticism after they stood idly by while a group of men performing the Nazi salute gate crashed a Let Women Speak rally outside the Victorian Parliament earlier this year.

That an officer was now under investigation for using social media to say he was proud of his son’s participation in the Nazi display has added to concern police were complicit.

Criminal barrister Remy van de Wiel, KC, has written to Police Commissioner Shane Patton threatening legal action over failure to stop the salute.

Van de Wiel, writing on behalf of a client, alleges the police failed to stop a “hate act”.

His client also claims that footage of the protest showed the “painful reality that Victoria Police officers were not mere spectators; rather encouraged, authorised and/or assisted the neo-Nazis.”  (more...)

Canada urgently needs to release its Holocaust-related records

 

The Canadian Access to Information system has broken down. The dysfunctional nature of the system is highlighted by the difficulty in accessing Holocaust records.

The Holocaust ended in 1945, more than 78 years ago. The Commission of Inquiry on War Criminals, headed by Justice Jules Deschênes, completed its work in 1986, almost 37 years ago. The Canadian effort to bring Nazi war criminals to justice has ended. The survivors are fast disappearing.

Though the records in Canada of the Holocaust and its perpetrators are old, their release is urgent. We will soon no longer be able to keep the memory of the Holocaust alive through the testimony of survivors – we will have to rely on the records. Yet, efforts to get the release of Holocaust-related records have gone nowhere.

Remembering the Holocaust means not just remembering the victims. It means also remembering their murderers. We need access to the report written by Alti Rodal for the Deschênes Commission, titled Nazi War Criminals in Canada: The Historical and Policy Setting from the 1940s to the Present. It was written to be public in its entirety, but has been released subject only to inexplicable extensive deletions. Part II of the Deschênes Commission report, addressing individual cases, has not been made public. And the hundreds of Nazi war crimes files originally held by the Department of Justice and Royal Canadian Mounted Police are inaccessible.  (more...)
