Broadcasters from Spain, Ireland, the Netherlands, Iceland and Slovenia have withdrawn from this week’s event over Israel’s participation
Public broadcasters in Spain, Ireland and Slovenia have said they would not air the 70th anniversary Eurovision Song Contest, which begins on Tuesday in Austria and will culminate in Saturday’s grand finale, citing opposition to Israel’s participation.
The three countries, along with the Netherlands and Iceland, withdrew on Monday from this year’s event in Vienna, leaving the contest facing the biggest boycott in its 70-year history.
Vienna police have said they expect disruptive protests and possible attempts to block the event, particularly on the last day. Authorities said a pro-Palestinian demonstration involving around 3,000 people has been registered for May 16.
Earlier this year, the broadcasters urged contest organizers at the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) to bar Israel over alleged vote-rigging and the war in Gaza. The EBU said Israel met the contest’s eligibility requirements and would remain in this year’s competition.
Israel has rejected accusations of genocide since launching its operation targeting Hamas in Gaza after the militant group made its deadly incursion into southern Israel in October 2023, killing 1,200 people and taking 250 others hostage. The enclave’s authorities say Israel’s response has left nearly 70,000 Palestinians dead. (more...)
Eurovision 2026 faces biggest boycott in 70-year history
“Staid” is the word the Wall Street Journal applied to government commissions on religious freedom. The February 10, 2026 meeting of Donald Trump’s White House Religious Liberty Commission, however, was anything but staid. Contentious might be a better word, Carrie Prejean Boller’s testimony cut through the conventional interreligious pieties and accused the rabbis on the committee of imposing Zionism as the equivalent of a state established religion on American Catholics like herself. As we have come to expect, the Jews attempted to turn the tables on Carrie. Rabbi Frankel told her “You don’t get to block me because I’m a Zionist and a Jew,” at the very moment when the Jews were blocking Carrie because she was a Catholic and calling for her ouster from the panel because of her Catholic beliefs. Refusing to be cowed, she responded, “I am a Catholic and I do not embrace Zionism,” adding that Zionism and Catholicism are incompatible. Before anyone realized what was happening, she took control of the debate by making it a Catholic-Jewish conflict.
As I predicted, the collapse of Protestantism which became apparent as the third republic drew to a close had a dramatic effect on American identity and the terms of civic discourse. America was always a country with three ethnic groups based on three religions—Protestant, Catholic, Jew—with the Protestants being the dominant group. As Samuel Huntington pointed out in his book on American identity Who Are We? an American was an “Anglo-Protestant,” who acted as a buffer between Catholics and Jews, defusing conflicts between them by blurring the clear theological distinctions which made conflict inevitable.
As Protestantism continues to evaporate, the confrontation between Jews and Catholics becomes more contentious. The mainline Protestant sects—Presbyterians, Methodists, and Episcopalians—have been taken over by homosexuals and marginalized, while sects at the lower end of Protestant demographics like Southern Baptists and other Evangelical churches have adopted Christian Zionism as their creed, as represented by Texans like Ted Cruz, who told Tucker Carlson he had a religious duty to support the state of Israel.
Carrie was no stranger to the culture wars. She debuted as a national figure when running as Miss California for the Miss USA title. One step away from claiming the title, Carrie was ambushed by Perez Hilton, who asked her what she thought of gay marriage. When she declared that marriage could only take place between a man and a woman, she lost her chance to become Miss USA, but her decision to come out in favor of traditional marriage launched her career as a national figure in the culture wars. Her identity at this point was a conservative in the mold of Sean Hannity, who co-wrote her autobiography Still Standing. During the round of talk show appearances which surrounded its publication, Carrie would tell people like Larry King that the person she admired most was Sarah Palin. The King interview took place on November 11, 2009, when loyalty to the conservative party line was already sounding dated.
The most significant change in her life between Carrie’s appearance on Larry King in 2009 and the brouhaha of the Trump committee on religious liberty in 2026 was her conversion from the Protestantism of her youth to Catholicism in 2025. Her conversion freed her from the straitjacket of an obsolete conservatism and was replaced by ethnic Catholicism as her identity marker at precisely the moment when the Jews had overplayed their hand in Gaza and had become odious in the eyes of the entire world. The disappearance of Protestantism at the end of America’s third republic made the Jewish-Catholic conflict inevitable. Carrie was correct in her reading of the signs of the times. The moment had arrived for a Catholic-Jewish showdown. The Israeli genocide in Gaza had called the existence of a universal moral law, with no genetic exceptions, into question, and that question had to be answered before America could proceed to the fourth republic. Catholic Talking Heads Throw Carrie Under the Bus
Dr. E. Michael Jones, a Traditionalist Catholic writer and editor of Culture Wars, shares his perspectives on the decline of the American empire, cultural shifts in the West, and global political dynamics. The conversation explores a range of ideas around Western identity, religion, and the changing structure of power in the United States and beyond. Dr. Jones reflects on historical influences, media narratives, and how different ideological frameworks shape modern societies.
Dr. E. Michael Jones returns to Our Interesting Times to discuss Carrie Prejean Boller's ouster from Presidential Commission on Religious Liberty, the myth of Catholic Zionism, the Epstein file dump and what the information therein means for the American Empire.
Dr. Jones is the editor of Culture Wars magazine and author of many books including his most recently published Walking with a Bible and a Gun: The Rise, Fall & Return of American Identity.
E. Michael Jones of Culture Wars breaks down the week's news...starting with the looming confrontation between the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the degenerate Zioligarchy that rules the West.
Instead of another invasion, the current German threat to Poland is the hybrid warfare that’s actively waged against it through the German-led EU, the goal of which is to deracinate Poles and erode their country’s sovereignty in order to facilitate their subordination as post-modern German vassals.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk wrote that “President Nawrocki has once again pointed to the West as the main threat to Poland. This is the essence of the dispute between the anti-European bloc (Nawrocki, Braun, Mentzen, PiS) and our Coalition. A deadly serious dispute, a dispute over our values, security, sovereignty. East or West.” This was in response to President Karol Nawrocki’s speech in Poznan in late December commemorating the Greater Poland Uprising that secured Poland’s interwar western borders.
Notes From Poland drew attention to how Nawrocki declared that “Poland is a ‘national community open to the west, but also a national community ready to defend the western border of the republic, as the Greater Poland insurgents knew.’…He also recalled how ‘aggressive’ efforts were made to ‘take away our culture and national heritage’. Just as Poles back then took action to defend their national identity, so today ‘we must do everything we can to ensure that Poland remains Poland.’”
In response to Tusk’s post, Nawrocki wondered whether he has grievances against those historical Polish figures who fought Germany in the past in an allusion to Tusk’s long-suspected German loyalties. He also suggested that he’s either “unable to listen with understanding, or deliberately seeks conflict because his budget, healthcare, etc., aren’t adding up.” Nawrocki ended by reminding Tusk of his close ties with Putin during the golden era of Russian-EU relations, which remain controversial inside Poland to this day.
Analyzing this exchange, Nawrocki’s innuendo that the German-led EU poses a similar threat to Polish identity as the Imperial-era “Kulturkampf” upset Tusk, who then twisted his words and the context within which they were said to provoke a faux scandal for deflecting from his domestic political failures. Nawrocki wasn’t implying that Germany still poses the same threat to Poland’s territorial integrity as its predecessor states did, but he was nevertheless reaffirming that it’s still indeed a threat of some sort.
It was recently explained that “Germany Poses A Significant Non-Military Threat To Polish Sovereignty”, namely through its de facto control of the EU and associated attempts to erode Polish sovereignty, which also aim to weaken its national identity and thus amount to a modern-day “Kulturkampf”. Nawrocki Strongly Alluded To The Significant Non-Military Threat That Germany Poses To Poland
As Israel’s image has suffered from its genocidal campaign in Gaza, ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt and broader Jewry are targeting Hispanic evangelical communities in the United States and Central America to cultivate a fresh base of golems who will back Zionist causes.
Greenblatt recently announced a formal partnership with the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference during a speaking engagement at Sinai Temple in Los Angeles, revealing an extensive outreach initiative targeting Hispanic evangelical communities. “We have roughly 2,000 active synagogues in America. There are 42,000 active Hispanic evangelical churches,” Greenblatt told the audience. “Right now, the ADL is co-writing Sunday school curriculum with them. Right now, the ADL is working on joint lobby days with them.”
The ADL announced the partnership on October 16, 2025, creating educational materials for distribution across Hispanic evangelical churches in the United States. The collaboration encompasses a 12-month antisemitism awareness curriculum distributed to pastors, youth leaders, and congregants, with specific modules designed for K-12 private schools. Faith-based resources include sermon guides and prayer materials promoting solidarity with Jewish communities.
Multilingual digital campaigns targeting Generation Z and Millennial congregants will feature short-form videos and social media content. The partnership also includes Prayer and Justice Gatherings, with roundtable discussions planned across California, Florida, New York, Texas, and Washington DC. According to the official announcement, the curriculum will provide resources specifically for Sunday school implementation, representing the first time ADL has directly contributed to Christian religious education programming. The National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, led by President Rev. Samuel Rodriguez, also operates the Hispanic Israel Leadership Coalition, a specific arm dedicated to Israel advocacy. Jonathan Greenblatt Rolls Out Plan to Activate Hispanic Evangelical Golems
As Jewish privilege dwindles because of the genocide in Gaza and Jews become odious in the eyes of the world, which now sees them, as St. Paul did, as “enemies of the entire human race,” the Jews are trying to distract the public whose good opinion they have lost by fanning Islamophobia. On November 27, 2025, I received the following tweet from “IDONTCARE1411”:
You are blind and full of hatred, muslims killed so many Christians in nigeria, there is a genocide going on in congo, but you focus on the Jews, why is that? as a Jew am i not allowed to defend myself from jihadist monsters? fuck off.
To which I responded:
Thank you. Now tell me what you really think. The Jews are becoming progressively more hysterical as they lose control of the narrative. Instead of changing their behavior, they try to generate hatred for Muslims, as the neocons did after 9/11, or hatred of Germans as Morgenthau, Nizer, and Kaufmann did after World War II. All of these narratives are failing as the third republic, the American Empire, and Jewish privilege come to an end.
Dearborn is not Minas Tirith and hardly Vienna, but as “home to one of the largest Arab American and Muslim communities in the United States—roughly 40-50% of residents trace their heritage to the Middle East, primarily Lebanon and Yemen,” the city is as bitterly contested now as Vienna was then.
During the most recent gubernatorial election in Michigan, Dearborn became “a flashpoint for cultural and religious tensions, especially in recent years amid broader U.S. debates over immigration, Islamophobia, and political influence.” According to Republican candidate for Michigan governor Anthony Hudson, the orcs have already taken over Dearborn and are now planning to impose the “Sharia law” that allegedly is already in place there to the rest of Michigan if he is not elected that state’s governor. Grok tells us that “claims of ‘Sharia law’ enforcement in Dearborn are unfounded” but the claim that “the city operates under U.S. and Michigan laws,” did not calm the fears of “far-right activists (often out-of-state)” who were determined to push “anti-Islam narratives” which resulted in street clashes with local Muslims in November 2025. Excerpt: The West Has Failed: Tolkien, Traditionalism and Islamophobia
St. Patrick, a Romano-British Bishop landed in Skerries, Ireland in 432 AD when he returned to bring Christianity to the pagans. I visited the town on Thanksgiving Day 2025. It was green and lush. Its stones were wet from the passing rain, and, to my surprise, there was a segment of a rainbow above St. Patrick Island. I contemplated the consequences and the difference between St. Patrick, a single man, spiritually impregnating the island with Catholicism for centuries to come, and the Puritans without names or faces (as they have been represented to us Americans) spiritually and physically impregnating North America with Protestantism in 1621. On this anniversary of the event, I carried under my arm Paul Blanshard’s book, The Irish and Catholic Power. As Dr. E. Michael Jones has pointed out in many of his articles, Paul Blanshard was a White Anglo-Saxon Protestant (WASP) hell-bent on dealing with the Catholic Question, particularly, as this book reveals, by breaking Catholic Church-State relations.
As the light began to fade, and darkness descended, a gale passed by and almost blew away the few people and dogs enjoying the walk. I took refuge along the rock wall surrounding the sea trying to protect the book, the cellphone in my leather purse with the broken zipper, and whatever warmth I held inside my jacket. When the sharp wind and rain passed, I walked on towards the bus stop near St. Patrick’s church. And on the way I met an old man named Joseph, called Joe, as he sat on the bench looking straight out to St. Patrick’s Island, where the Saint first set foot. There was a glorious white dog that looked like a mixture of a white Labrador with a Golden Retriever’s wavy mane standing on the green, wind-combed hill as if he were the spirit of St. Patrick himself or a dog representing the presence of an angel, like the little dog in the story of Tobit. That’s why I stopped to ask the man if it were his dog. Joseph said no and went on to testify what a horrible thing St. Patrick did to bring Catholicism to the island, ‘It has been catastrophic.’ I was not surprised to hear him speak this way. Not only were the Irish starved during the Potato Famine, their towns were purposely dismantled, and they themselves sent to the United States as cheap labor to advance America’s industrial revolution, but Ireland’s propaganda continues to be anti-Catholic. The Guiness family recently, as an example, allowed the release of a series documenting the homosexual nature of their family history in Netflix’s House of Guinness, which also explains how the family built its empire on the foundation of Irish drinkers. And then there’s the Magdalene Laundries documentaries repeated ad nauseum to the Irish to help them hate Catholic nuns. As a sign that the propaganda works, the most common costume during this year’s Halloween was the horrifying, bloody nun costume. Even the young were wearing it.
I let Joseph talk. When he asked me where I was from, I told him that I was a Mexican, with some Irish roots, born in Florida. I told him my father taught me that the Mexicans would always love the Irish because they switched sides during the Mexican-American War to defend fellow Catholics and the Church from sacrilege (and perhaps to obtain the property the Mexican government offered the soldiers, as well). I told him my great-grandfather was a ginger with pale skin and blue eyes and from my mother’s side, I had uncles with eyes as blue as his because they were from the Gaelic area of Galicia. Joseph looked at me with astonishment and he seemed pleased. I usually add that my paternal family is from the same region as the white-redheaded Mexican boxer Canelo Alvarez, but I didn’t this time. I wanted the story to sink in, and I looked at Joseph: the same person who can curse Catholicism (which I blame on years of heavy social engineering) can still feel pleasure at the idea that Catholics of different races and languages can join to fight against a common enemy. And I watched as the idea dawned on his lovely, weathered face, as he gazed out towards St Patrick’s island, that an act of heroic and sacrificial love can go down in history to his credit as if Joseph himself had been hung for treason on behalf of a Mexican. As I fancied he was thinking. (more...)

Dr. E. Michael Jones returns to Our Interesting Times to discuss the civil war within MAGA and why Tucker Carlson refuses to distinguish all Jews from the Jews.
Dr. Jones is the editor of Culture Wars magazine and author of many books including his just published Walking with a Bible and a Gun: The Rise, Fall & Return of American Identity.
Francesca Albanese’s new report examines how 60+ countries are complicit in Israel’s war crimes — and how their contributions will come back to haunt their own citizens.
Nate Pike probably thought he was being a good progressive, but the extremist stance re the constitutionality of mandatory minimum sentences should be less important than punishing child predators.
We expose the hypocrisy of pretending to be for the victims while you protect those who harm children.
One of the fundamental axioms of Thomistic philosophy is “agere sequitur esse,” which means that action follows being. This means that “what a thing does must necessarily reflect what it is in some way.” My corollary to this axiom is that there can be no action without consciousness. This is true of all human action, but it has special relevance to political action.
In the months following the Hamas uprising in Gaza, the world has experienced a massive change in consciousness. The Israeli genocide in reaction to that uprising has brought about a global consensus that Jews, as St. Paul said in I Thess 2, are “enemies of the entire human race.”
Anyone who notices the genocide of Gaza is antisemitic. Anyone who questions victors' history is antisemitic. Anyone who asks about ownership of banks and media is antisemitic. Anyone who thinks the guy who got kicked out of 109 bars and said the bartenders were the problem is himself the problem....well, you get the drift.
