Ukrainian Waffen-SS: the Galician Division

Galician Division Ukraine Waffen-SS WWII OUN war crimes genocide history collaboration Bandera

In this video another chapter on Ukrainians that fought for Germany during the Second World War. I wil explore the collaboration in German-occupied Ukraine during World War 2: the 14th SS-Volunteer Division "Galicia". I'll talk about the origins of Ukrainian ultranationalism and factions as the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) and its split: the OUN-M led by Andrei Melnik and the OUN-B led by Stepan Bandera. The first pro-German units were two battalions: the Nachtigall Battalion and the Roland Battalion. In 1943 the Ukrainian SS Division was established: the 14th SS-Volunteer Division "Galicia". The Waffen-SS was persuaded to deploy Ukrainian units. And so the 14th SS-Volunteer Division "Galicia" / 14. SS-Freiwilligen Division 'Galizien' / Dyviziia Halychyna saw the light of day. From 1944 known as 14th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS (ukrainische Nr. 1). If you want to learn about Ukraine during WW2, this video is for you.

Ukrainians that fought for Germany during the Second World War. In this video I explore the collaboration in German-occupied Ukraine during World War 2. Why did Ukrainians collaborate with Germany? In this video I will talk about the origins of Ukrainian ultranationalism and factions as the  Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) and its split: the OUN-M led by Andrei Melnik and the OUN-B led by Stepan Bandera. Their military wing became the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA). The Ukrainian Legion consisted of two battalions: the Nachtigall Battalion and the Roland Battalion. In 1943 the Ukrainian SS Division was established: the 14th SS-Volunteer Division "Galicia". The Ukrainian Liberation Army (UVV) was the collective name for all Ukrainian units serving with the German Army during World War II. As the Germans recognized Ukrainain independence the Ukrainian National Army (UNA) was established, led by Pavlo Shandruk. If you want to learn about Ukraine during WW2, this video is for you.

Commission Reveals that Trudeau Government Lied About Nature of Truckers Protests in Ottawa Last February to Justify Invocation of Emergencies Act

Canada Justin Trudeau politics deceit lies freedom convoy abuse of power Emergencies Act unaccountability COVID vaccines mandates

Anti-vaccine mandate protesters were falsely accused of being rapists, white supremacists and violence-prone by a liberal prime minister who endangers Canadian freedoms.

A year ago Canadian mainstream media and politicians described an unruly mob headed for Ottawa.

On January 26, 2022, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told Canadians there was a “fringe minority” with “unacceptable views” coming to Ottawa in a “so-called freedom convoy.”[1]

A few protesters arrived in Ottawa on January 28, with the majority coming the next day

On Valentine’s Day, Justin Trudeau invoked the Emergencies Act to crush the protest. Bank accounts of hundreds of protesters were frozen. After the police crackdown on protesters, Bill Blair, the Minister of Emergency Preparedness, said it was “textbook” police action: “It restored my pride in my profession.”

Blair continued, “what I witnessed [was]…an entirely professional proportional, measured response. They moved slowly, methodically, respectfully….I’ve never seen it done better than what I witnessed here in the City of Ottawa as they…peacefully as possible, brought this to a resolution.”

On February 22 the Liberal-NDP coalition ratified the invocation of the Emergencies Act. But a day later the Act was rescinded. The Emergencies Act legislation of 1988 required that, on the occasion of its use, an inquiry must be held to determine if it was justified.  (more...)

Understanding the logic of Canada giving $2.26 billion in arms to Ukraine

Canada arms trafficking Ukraine hegemony colonialism repression NATO subjugation imperialism

Over the past year Ottawa has given Ukraine over $2 billion in weapons. The size of the arms donation is unprecedented in Canadian history.

According to a February 17 Le Devoir calculation, Canada has delivered $2.26 billion in weapons to Ukraine. The paper costed 17 different announcements, which include 4 heavy tanks, 4,200 single-use rocket launchers, an anti-aircraft missile system, 4 howitzers with 27,000 shells, 76 drone cameras, 247 armoured vehicles and more. On Friday the Liberals announced they were sending four more heavy tanks, an armoured recovery vehicle and more than 5,000 rounds of ammunition.

Since World War II, this quantity of arms donations is unprecedented. The only example that may be comparable is the arms Canada transferred through NATO’s Mutual Aid Program in the decade after the alliance was created. Between 1950 and 1958 Ottawa donated $1.53 billion ($9 billion today) in ammunition, fighter jets, military training, etc. to European NATO countries.

Through this program Canada armed France, Belgium and Britain as they violently suppressed independence struggles in Algeria, Congo, Kenya and elsewhere. In reference to France’s bid to suppress the Vietnamese independence movements, external affairs minister Lester Pearson told Parliament in 1953 that “the assistance we have given to France as a member of the NATO association may have helped her recently in the discharge of some of her obligations in Indo-China.” With 400,000 French troops in Algeria in 1956 Canada transferred hundreds of thousands of bullets to that country.

During the 1950s and 60s Ottawa armed the colonial powers rather than the independence movements. In subsequent years it sold significant amounts of weapons to the US, not the Vietnamese resistance. Likewise, it armed the South African apartheid regime in the 1970s, not Nelson Mandela’s African National Congress. During the 1980s Canadian firms sold Indonesia weapons, not the East Timorese independence movement.  (more...)

Auschwitz: I cried the whole night and asked God to end this

Auschwitz Poland Germany Nazi forced labor slavery Third Reich crime children history remembrance

Aniela Guzik (born 1924), during the Second World War she was sent to the Third Reich for forced labor. Her father was selected to go, but he had to look after his wife and younger daughter, so Aniela Guzik was sent in his place. She was quite lucky, as the wife of the German farmer she worked for was very kind to her. Unfortunately, the labor was very hard for a 15-year-old girl. At some point, Aniela received a message that her sister was ill. The farmer permitted her to go home for seven days. Aniela happened to fall ill while visiting home and had to undergo a surgery due to appendicitis. She extended her stay at home and the German farmer tried to reclaim her. Aniela was arrested and put in the Sosnowiec prison, where she had to work in the field. One day, two boys were put in an adjacent cell after being caught while smuggling goods through the border between the Third Reich and the General Government. They managed to escape at night. They tried to talk Aniela into coming with them, but she refused. Upon discovering their escape in the morning, the angered Germans sent Aniela to Auschwitz. She spent one night in a damp bunker, crying the whole time. When she left the bunker in the morning, she saw the starved prisoners of KL Auschwitz who were being marched to a crematorium. The Germans decided not to put Aniela in the camp and instead sent her back to the German farmer. Aniela was exhausted and ill with scabies. Luckily, the farmer’s wife took her to a doctor. Aniela was cursed out by the German patients who were also waiting at the doctor’s office, but the doctor turned out to be a decent person who helped her recover. Aniela continued to work as a forced laborer until the end of the war.

US senator threatens Brazil with ‘crippling sanctions’

Brazil Iran sanctions Ted Cruz neocolonialism neocons subjugation sovereignty independence BRICS

Washington should sanction everyone having anything to do with the visit of two Iranian warships to Brazil, Senator Ted Cruz said on Tuesday, declaring the visit “a direct threat to the safety and security of Americans.”

The Iranian Navy frigate Dena and the supply ship Makran are on a mission to sail around the world. They arrived in Brazil on Sunday, intending to resupply before proceeding to the Panama Canal. The US has previously demanded Brazil refuses them permission to dock, citing unilateral American sanctions against Tehran.

“These Iranian warships are already sanctioned, and so the port in Rio de Janeiro where they docked is now at risk of crippling sanctions, as are any Brazilian companies that provided them services or accepted payments – and so are all foreign companies that entangle themselves with the port or those Brazilian companies in the future,” Cruz said in a statement.

Insisting that US anti-terrorism laws are “not optional,” the senator called on President Joe Biden to “impose relevant sanctions” and re-evaluate whether Brasilia is adequately cooperating with Washington. “If the administration does not, Congress should force them to do so.”  (more...)
