The broadcast begins with discussion of the relationship between the father of Saudi-born terrorist Osama Bin Laden and King Ibn Saud, the monarch of, and founder of, Saudi Arabia. Significantly, Bin Laden’s father was a close friend and political ally of King Ibn Saud. “Bin Laden’s father, Mohammed Awad Bin Laden, emigrated from Southern Yemen’s Hadraamawt Valley in the 1920’s to Saudi Arabia, where he became a close friend of the country’s founder and first monarch, Abdul-Aziz Ibn Saud, whose example he followed by taking almost as many wives as the king.
