The appearance by his satanic Majesty King Charles, in front of the Congress (only the second appearance by a British monarch in history, the first of which was his mother, Elizabeth) was a new ratchet down for the United States. Even more scandalous than his treatment by the president, was the obsequious difference shown to him by the Congress. The fright of the “No Kings”protests of weeks ago could not have been more lured. Possibly the most important sentence written in the English language since its inception is this: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”

It is necessary in these nine weeks leading up to July 4, for those that both understand and endorse that message, to appropriate the national holiday, and to catalyze national celebrations to call the American people to order in the service of those principles. America’s descent into war and other suicidal adventures, mostly conducted on behalf of the British Empire, can only be arrested by a return to the principles expressed in the Declaration of Independence. Those principles are reflected both in the Ten Principles For a New Security and Development Architecture of Helga Zepp-LaRouche, and the words and deeds of Pope Leo XIV.

Launching the Needed Anti-Colonial Movement

Times of India author Mrutyuanjai Mishra provides a valuable reflection on the recent, highly symbolic visit of Britain’s King Charles III to the United States—and that, in particular, from a formerly colonized nation of the Global South. He writes in a May 1 op-ed:

“The 250th anniversary of American independence should have been a moment of clarity, a reaffirmation of the principles that gave birth to a republic. Instead, it has revealed a profound contradiction at the heart of contemporary political life. At a time marked by war, economic strain, and institutional breakdown, Donald Trump chose to celebrate not the rejection of monarchy, but its legacy.”

Mishra continues: “The American Revolution constituted a decisive rupture with monarchy and imperial rule. It was not an extension of British political culture but a rejection of it. The Declaration of Independence established that sovereignty resides with the people, not with a crown or inherited authority. This position diverged sharply from European traditions shaped by thinkers such as Thomas Hobbes and John Locke, whose frameworks, despite their differences, remained tied to hierarchies of power and property. The American founders advanced a more radical proposition: that human beings possess inherent dignity, rational capacity, and the ability to pursue the common good. Government, in this view, exists to cultivate these qualities rather than restrain them under the authority of a sovereign ruler. To celebrate monarchy at the symbolic center of American governance is therefore to invert the very principle upon which the republic was founded.”

If only Americans were as offended at this embarrassment as Mishra is for them!

This topic was taken up in full at the May 1 weekly meeting of the International Peace Coalition. Professor Richard Falk, former UN Special Rapporteur on Palestine, said one reason for Trump’s fondness for Charles was that he sees himself as the “first American king,” and pointed to the increasing alienation of today’s ruling elites from the worsening conditions of life for the average citizen. He attributed this to the Western financial system’s transition from industrial productivity to financial profiteering, which has generated tremendous profits for a wealthy elite while wreaking destruction for the many. Even wars and genocides have become “good for business,” Falk noted, showing the amorality of this system.  (more...)

Humanity Deserves Better Than The Scourge of King Tampon

The good news for America is that the nefarious King Charles III of England has now ended his visit here. His Satanic Majesty polluted the White House, the U.S. Congress, the site of the 9/11 World Trade Center attack, and the unfortunate town of Front Royal, Virginia. His treasonous message, however, did not go unanswered by the forces associated with economist and statesman Lyndon LaRouche. The LaRouche Organization greeted the king with the disdain and invective that his Royal satanic presence deserves.

The bad news for America, however, was the performances of both President Donald Trump, and the U.S. Congress, in the face of the personification of Perfidious Albion itself. Trump‘s placement of a picture online of himself with Charles, featuring the caption “Two Kings,” was only exceeded in self degradation by the Congress, which managed to even surpass him in its obsequious indifference to the Royal Epstein enabler. Charles, it must be remembered, had sought “advice” for 20 years – emphasis on the ‘vice’ part – from the notorious Jimmy Savile, the factotum who was accused by over 450 people of sexual abuse. His brother Andrew’s relationship with Epstein, including his financial relationship, is too sordid and familiar to need repetition.

In the world of reality, however, it becomes increasingly clear that the unprecedented defeat represented by Trump‘s Iran debacle can no longer be hidden from intelligent people. What is still hidden, however, is the extent of the physical economic damage done to the world economy, and particularly to tens of millions of people in Africa and Asia, which will not come to light for months or even years to come. Actions taken by the governments of Russia, China, and Iran itself in the realm of economic infrastructure, involving the overland transport of freight, may ameliorate this somewhat overtime, increasingly making the sea routes dominated by the United States less central to world trade. The supremely silly “blockade of the blockade” being conducted by the Trump administration was almost laughed off the floor of the Congress when Pete “Super Dave” Hegseth haplessly attempted to testify. He had, however, apparently found no other appropriate segments from Samuel Jackson’s “Pulp Fiction“ performance, with which to persuade either the Congress or the American people of the “total victory on the battlefield“ which the Trump administration has claimed.

It is painfully clear that adults need to speak out on behalf of the real United States and its real mission. The LaRouche organization must now appropriate responsibility for the 250th anniversary of the birth of the nation. No help can be expected at the moment from the presidency or the Congress. We must assume responsibility for the American people becoming reacquainted with why, in the pursuit of the principles contained in the Declaration of Independence, we must now make a new security and development architecture, as discussed by Helga Zepp LaRouche in her Ten Principles, a reality.

Internet Communities Are Dying… And Nobody Noticed

There was a time where the internet actually felt alive. You would find random forums about super niche topics. People knew each other.

You recognized usernames. There were inside jokes, real conversations, even drama sometimes. It felt like a real, welcoming place!

Now?

Most of us just rotate between the same few apps:

  • Instagram
  • TikTok
  • YouTube
  • Reddit
  • X

And somehow… it feels more empty. There are less communities, but more content. Less conversation, and more engagement.

The internet used to feel like a city full of different neighborhoods, and now it feels like a shopping mall.

Everything is centralized, everything is algorithm-driven, and the communities we thought we were building… we never actually owned them.

The main Telegram channel associated with the hacktivist group Handala has been suspended.

Why Global Majority must unite against US imperialism in Iran, Venezuela, Cuba, Gaza

Recent events – the extra-judicial abduction of Venezuela’s president, Nicolás Maduro, and his wife, Cilia Flores, by the United States; the unprovoked and illegal US and Israeli war against Iran; the unjust blockade of fuel shipments to Cuba; and, of course, the Israeli genocidal war against Gaza with full American backing – have all served to confirm the reality of imperialism in our contemporary lives.

If Western imperialism once took the form of direct colonial rule from the European conquest of the Americas in the late fifteenth century until the mid-twentieth century, today it operates indirectly.

It now exerts economic, political, and cultural control over the Global Majority through persuasion, intimidation, threats, and intervention.

Despite the vast majority of the world having undergone formal decolonization, we remain subject to domination, particularly by the United States, in the form of economic controls and political coercion.

This is precisely what President Sukarno, at the 1955 Asian-African Conference, also known as the Bandung Conference, referred to as neocolonialism.

Recently, the US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, and Iranian Foreign Minister, Dr. Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, spoke at separate international conferences and reflected in their speeches two widely differing visions of what the world should be like.

One was a grotesque display of the imperialist impulse, while the other was a plea for international order, respect and peace.  (more...)

Hundreds of complaints from US service members report that commanders told them the war on Iran is part of biblical prophecy for Armageddon

Dozens of US Democratic lawmakers have called for an investigation into allegations that military commanders are portraying the war on Iran as part of biblical prophecy, according to reporting by Military.com, citing complaints from service members and a letter sent to the Department of War inspector general on 6 March.

The request follows hundreds of reports that officers told troops the campaign against Iran is “divinely ordained” and that President Donald Trump has been “anointed by Jesus.”

Lawmakers warned that invoking religious prophecy to justify military operations could violate constitutional protections and War Department rules requiring religious neutrality.

The controversy began after an anonymous non-commissioned officer contacted the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) on behalf of several soldiers in a unit stationed outside the Iran combat zone. 

The individual wrote that a commander urged personnel to view the war as “all part of God’s divine plan,” while citing passages from the Book of Revelation.

According to the complaint, the officer told troops that “President Trump has been anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth.”  (more...)

In a world where protest is met with surveillance, social media has become both a battleground and a lifeline. For many, it is the only space left to document injustice, organize communities, and tell stories that mainstream media refuses to carry. Yet the very platforms that claim to “connect the world”  the Metas and TikToks of our time are far from neutral. They are infrastructures of control, built to measure and monetize our attention.

What began as digital connection has become a marketplace of distraction. Every notification, every scroll, every algorithmic “suggestion” is designed to keep us inside the feed — feeding it in return. The business model is simple: capture attention, convert emotion, and sell both to the highest bidder. Our presence has become a product.

Behind the feed, invisible power moves quietly. The same financial giants who fund weapons manufacturers, surveillance tech, and fossil fuel corporations BlackRock, Vanguard, and their peers also own vast shares of the platforms shaping our digital lives. The pipelines of profit run from our timelines to global systems of extraction and exploitation.

When we post, teach, or protest online, we’re forced into contradiction. We use the tools of the very structures we resist. We depend on platforms that surveil, censor, and profit from our pain — even as we try to build something better. Digital resistance, then, is not only about what we say online. It’s about how we exist online. It is the act of reclaiming the terrain of our attention.  (more...)

Brazil’s President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has criticized US President Donald Trump for attempting to create a new United Nations and be the sole owner of the international body.

“Instead of fixing” the United Nations, “what’s happening? President Trump is proposing to create a new UN where only he is the owner,” Lula said in a speech at an event on Friday.

Lula sounded the alarm about the new world order Trump is creating, warning that the international community is facing a “very critical” political moment in global dynamics, with multilateralism being forced out in favor of US unilateralism.

He warned that “the UN charter is being torn” to pieces by Trump.

The American Revolution as an Alternative to Imperial Order

Among the most influential authors and reformers of his age, Thomas Paine (1737–1809) was born in England but went on to play an important role in both the American and French Revolutions. In 1774, he emigrated to America where, for a time, he helped to edit the Pennsylvania Magazine. On January 10, 1776, he published his pamphlet Common Sense, a persuasive argument for the colonies' political and economic separation from Britain.

Common Sense cites the evils of monarchy, accuses the British government of inflicting economic and social injustices upon the colonies, and points to the absurdity of an island attempting to rule a continent. Credited by George Washington as having changed the minds of many of his countrymen, the document sold over 500,000 copies within a few months.

Today, Common Sense remains a landmark document in the struggle for freedom, distinguished not only by Paine's ideas but also by its clear and passionate presentation. Designed to ignite public opinion against autocratic rule, the pamphlet offered a careful balance between imagination and judgment, and appropriate language and expression to fit the subject. It immediately found a receptive audience, heartened Washington's despondent army, and foreshadowed much of the phrasing and substance of the Declaration of Independence.

The Flotillas to Gaza Are the World’s Conscience

The numerous attempts by activists in flotillas, to break the siege on Gaza, are a potent reminder that hope comes through acts of resistance and that we must never accept the status quo.

There will be a new flotilla in April 2026 that will attempt to break the 18-year-old Israeli blockade of Gaza. The mission is expected to be the largest maritime action for Palestine to date, involving more than 3,000 activists from 100 countries on 100 boats, including a medical fleet of 1,000 health care workers to deliver 500 tons of life-saving aid, equipment and medical supplies that Israel has blocked from entering Gaza.

Once again, activists from all over the world will sail toward Gaza in an attempt to end one of the worst humanitarian crises on the planet. Once again, their journey will be minutely tracked on social media. Once again, Israeli drones will be sent out in international waters to intercept and attack the boats. Once again, the boats will be boarded by masked, heavily armed Israeli soldiers. Once again, activists will be arrested. Once again, they will be sent to high-security prisons. Once again, they will be physically abused, placed in solitary confinement, insulted, berated, forced to watch Israeli propaganda videos about Oct. 7, or raped by Israeli prison guards. Once again, Palestinians, many of whom wait on the beach in the hope that the latest flotilla will get through, will see they are not alone. And once again, the world will look away, ignoring its legal mandate to intervene to end the genocide, as per Article I of the Genocide Convention.

And yet, despite the almost certain outcome, the flotillas are imperceptibly chipping away at the Israeli stranglehold on Gaza. They are reminding the world of its moral and legal duty to intervene. They are shaming not only Israel, but the Western governments whose complicity sustains the genocide. They are illustrating that we are not powerless. We can act.

“How did you feel when you watched the flotilla?” I asked the Palestine ambassador to Italy, Mona Abuamara, when I joined the Italian dock workers strike in Genoa and national demonstration for Palestine in Rome at the end of November 2025.

“Like a child,” she answered. “You know how when you know the end of a movie but you still want it to be different. I kept thinking, ‘Let it pass. Let it pass.’ As if it could. We knew it wouldn’t. That’s part of the beauty of those people on those boats. They knew they’re not going to be allowed to pass, but they refused to accept the status quo.”  (more...)
