Thirty years after the siege of Sarajevo, Italian prosecutors have launched an investigation into one of the darkest and least examined chapters of the Bosnian War: the so-called “weekend snipers,” who allegedly paid for the chance to shoot at civilians.
Edin Subasic, a former intelligence officer in the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and one of the first to reveal the story, tells TRT how he uncovered it and shares the latest developments in the Italian investigation.
