Canadian officials have repeatedly described Russia's invasion of Ukraine as “unprovoked”. Author of the new book Provoked: How Washington Started the New Cold War with Russia and the Catastrophe in Ukraine, Scott Horton, joined Talking Foreign Policy to discuss how NATO expansion, the 2014 coup and subsequent war incited Russia’s devastating February 2022 invasion. Horton also discusses some of Canada's contribution to a war that some Western leaders see as a fight until the last Ukrainian.
