Ex-Microsoft employees speak out against the company’s anti-Palestinian discrimination

Former Microsoft employees Hossam Nasr and Abdo Mohamed share how a recent vigil they organised, namely for victims of Israeli violence in Gaza, led to their dismissal from the company.

Though this has been covered by much of mainstream media, little has been said – as part of the coverage – about Microsoft’s internal culture of anti-Palestinian discrimination.

Nasr and Mohamed here illuminate the culture in troubling detail and how, contrary to Microsoft’s efforts to intimidate and demoralise them, it has actually strengthened their pro-Palestinian activism and is helping to end Israel’s ongoing genocide against Gaza.
