Luring victim's mom speaks of loss of trust

"He is a child. How could you?" This was one of the comments a Saskatoon mom had for Jayson Clarke Kennard, an ex-teacher who's awaiting sentencing for trying to lure the woman's son over the Internet.

"You broke a very important trust. I now have difficulty trusting any teacher or person of authority in the school system when it comes to my son, as well as others," the teen's mother wrote in a victim impact statement submitted on Monday at Kennard's sentencing hearing in Saskatoon Court of Queen's Bench.  (more...)
