Mike Allen tried to hire two hookers for threesome, cops say in laying charges

EDMONTON - Former Tory Alberta MLA Mike Allen, representing Fort McMurray-Wood Buffalo, has been formally charged with hiring a prostitute while on a political field trip in Minnesota.

Allen resigned from caucus Tuesday after he was arrested Monday by Minnesota cops conducting an undercover operation.

He faces one count of hiring or agreeing to hire a prostitute in a public place.

According to police documents, Allen took a limo to a motel where police were conducting a prostitution sting.  (more...)
