New Sex-Ed Curriculum Prompts Parents To Pull Kids Out Of School


As a protest against the new sex-education curriculum, parents across Ontario are keeping their kids out of school this week.

It’s not clear how many students in London will stay home as a result of the demonstration. However, an elementary school in Toronto saw 90% of its students absent today, as well as about 100 parents showing up to a Thorncliffe Park school to voice their opinions.

Superintendent of Student Achievement with the Thames Valley District School Board Don Macpherson tells AM980 they’ve been hearing from parents for the past few weeks.  (more...)
