Well over 100 people gathered in protest of the new sex education portion of the new Health and Physical Education curriculum in front of Kitchener City Hall today.
Maha Elmahi is a student at the University of Waterloo and was in attendance. She has daughter in grade one that she had kept home from school this week.
She tells 570 News that children are not old enough to learn the new material.
“We have to understand that their minds are not developed enough to understand such issues.”
