LETTER: Sex ed content not age appropriate

Ontario's sex education curriculum has not passed the scrutiny of the parents of Ontario.

Its content is not age appropriate. For every grade the material is too much, too young.

There was minimal consultation with the caregivers - the parents of the children concerned.

Teaching this curriculum will destroy the innocence of the vast majority of children, and according to some child psychiatrists, will damage children both emotionally and psychologically - because of the young ages of the children who will be taught this in school.

This curriculum being forced on many children, against their parents' consent, is also against the personal convictions of many teachers.

Ask a teacher how they feel about teaching a radical and very explicit curriculum to children from Kindergarten to Grade 12?

Ask your friends and relations, and those you meet at work, about their concerns.

See if their concerns are the same as yours.
