Becoming the first credentialed, well-known media insider to step forward and state publicly that he was secretly a “propagandist,” an editor of a major German daily has said that he personally planted stories for the CIA.
Saying he believes a medical condition gives him only a few years to live, and that he is filled with remorse, Dr. Udo Ulfkotte, the editor of Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, one of Germany’s largest newspapers, said in an interview that he accepted news stories written and given to him by the CIA and published them under his own name. Ulfkotte said the aim of much of the deception was to drive nations toward war.
Dr. Ulfkotte says the corruption of journalists and major news outlets by the CIA is routine, accepted, and widespread in the western media, and that journalists who do not comply either cannot get jobs at any news organization, or find their careers cut short.
Dr. Ulfkotte is the author of a book currently available only in German, “Bought Journalists” (Kopp 2014.) Aged 55, he was also once an advisor to the government of German Chancellor Helmet Kohl.
The book has become a bestseller in Germany but, in a bizarre twist which Ulfkotte says characterizes the disconnect caused by CIA control of the western media, the book cannot be reported on. (more...)
June 19, 2015 (LifeSiteNews) - On June 4 LifeSite was delivered a complaint letter from the law firm Keel Cottrelle, acting on behalf of Ontario’s Peel District School board, threatening legal action regarding two April news reports by LSN journalist Peter Baklinski. See a copy of the full complaint here.
The reports cited, “Lesbian: I use math class to teach young kids about homosexuality so I can ‘hide’ it from parents” and “Lesbian teacher: How I convince kids to accept gay ‘marriage’, starting at 4-years-old” are claimed to “have included inappropriate, aggressive and hateful comments regarding Board representatives,” among other claims.
LifeSite rejects all of the claims and has responded with demands that the Peel board immediately either withdraw in writing the allegations or immediately provide adequate particulars supporting them.
We have also challenged the notion that the School Board has any legal interest or claim in this matter since, for one thing, workshop leader Hiren Mistry told all in attendance that the two teachers were employees of the School Board, but clearly cautioned that the views they were presenting were their own. LifeSite did not specifically say in its reports that they were employees of the school board.
As well, there does not appear to have been any evidence that the school board had any connection with the event sponsored by the pro-LGBT group Jer’s Vision, held in a public venue at Toronto City Hall. (more...)
OTTAWA - The battered Senate absorbed yet another body blow Thursday as published allegations that Sen. Don Meredith was having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl were referred to the Senate ethics officer.
Meredith now faces calls for his resignation from senators of both political stripes.
Senate Speaker Leo Housakos said he has referred the matter to the ethics officer, calling the alleged conduct described in a bombshell report in the Toronto Star "incompatible with the position of senator."
In his letter to ethics officer Lyse Ricard, Housakos writes that if the allegations prove true, they would constitute "conduct unbecoming of a senator" that would require "disciplinary sanctions." He alleges Meredith "may have improperly used his position of trust and authority as a senator."
"I find this sort of (alleged) behaviour disturbing, unacceptable and intolerable and I hope that the ethics commissioner will come back in an expeditious fashion," Housakos said in an interview with The Canadian Press.
"As Speaker of the Senate of Canada I'm called upon to explain things. Certain things are inexplicable and this kind of behaviour is inexplicable." (more...)

Disgraced former Tory MP Harvey Proctor was interviewed under caution yesterday by detectives investigating claims that three children were murdered during a VIP paedophile sex party.
The 68-year-old is understood to have been questioned for six hours at his local police station before being allowed to go.
Mr Proctor’s name is said to have been given to police by at least two alleged victims of the underage sex ring.
A ‘credible’ eyewitness claimed three underage boys were murdered at one of the sex parties by a Conservative MP.
Detectives spent two days searching Mr Proctor’s sprawling Belvoir Castle home near Grantham, Lincolnshire, in March after his name was passed to officers by campaigning Labour MP John Mann. (more...)
