Ever trigger-happy President Donald Trump, speaking to reporters at the White House on May 4, reiterated: “Would I launch strikes into Mexico to stop drugs? OK with me. Whatever we have to do to stop drugs. I looked at Mexico City over the weekend. There’s some big problems over there.” Would he ask for the Mexican government’s permission to launch strikes? Trump said he “wouldn’t answer that question.” He said he has been “speaking” with Mexico City; “they know how I stand…. So let me just put it this way, I am not happy with Mexico.”
Likewise for Colombia: “Colombia has cocaine factories where they make cocaine. Would I knock out those factories? I would be proud to do it personally. I didn’t say I’m doing it, but I would be proud to do it, because we’re going to save millions of lives by doing it.”
Trump has yet to say a mumbling word about even laying a finger on the two world centers for the drug trade: Wall Street and the City of London. To do that would require guts, the kind of courage Lyndon LaRouche had. (more...)
