Is BRICS Dead?

India America Israel Narendra Modi BRICS Iran subservience

This week, as Israel and the United States prepared to launch another war on BRICS-member Iran, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi travelled to Israel.

During his visit, Modi gave a speech in Israel's Knesset in which he effectively declared his undying love for the genocidal entity.

Meanwhile, India appears to have slashed its purchases of Russian oil and has seized oil tankers suspected of carrying Iranian petroleum products. India's BRICS partner China is the largest buyer of Iranian oil.

What does all of this mean for the future of BRICS?

Dimitri Lascaris speaks with John Helmer about whether BRICS retains any hope of becoming an effective alliance against Western imperialism.
