Israeli officials have praised Washington’s action while Trump openly discussed governing Venezuela and opening its energy sector to US firms.
While nations from Eurasia to Latin America rushed to decry US aggression against Venezuela and US lawmakers voiced strong criticism, "Israel" welcomed the attacks that led to the abduction of President Nicolas Maduro.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised President Donald Trump’s military action in Venezuela, commending both the president and US forces for their conduct.
In a post on X, Netanyahu wrote: “Congratulations, President @realDonaldTrump for your bold and historic leadership on behalf of freedom and justice. I salute your decisive resolve and the brilliant action of your brave soldiers.”
On his part, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar praised Washington’s actions as a show of American and Israeli-aligned, global dominance.
In a statement posted on X on Saturday, Saar described the United States as the “leader of the free world” and endorsed the removal of Maduro, portraying the operation as a step toward "restoring democracy".
“Israel stands alongside the freedom-loving Venezuelan people, who have suffered under Maduro's illegal tyranny. Israel welcomes the removal of the dictator who led a network of drugs and terror and hopes for the return of democracy to the country and for friendly relations between the states,” Saar insolently wrote.
The statement underscored "Israel’s" close alignment with Washington’s imperalist posture, reinforcing its role as a key US ally in West Asia amid a widening campaign of American military actions abroad. (more...)
