Norway's Deputy Foreign Minister, Andreas Motzfeldt Kravik said that his country is still “committed to a two state solution” and said that what the world is seeing in Gaza and the West Bank “is not only unconscionable, but also deeply illegal.”
Kravik was speaking outside the Hague, where hearings are ongoing at the International Court of Justice over Israel's obligations to allow aid into Gaza and Unrwa, the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, to operate freely in the besieged strip.
It comes as the UN has warned of mass starvation in Gaza after its food stocks in the strip were fully depleted by Israel's ongoing two-month blockade of the enclave.
As footage of emaciated children has circulated widely online, the UN has warned that deaths from malnutrition may occur if Israel refuses to remove its blockade.
