Witnesses Describe Horror Scene After “Double-Tap” Bombing Kills Over 20 at Popular Tehran Square

war crimes US Israel Iran Tehran Cafe massacre double tap terrorism atrocities barbarity aggression

In Iran, the U.S. and Israel are employing tactics used in Israel’s genocide in Gaza, the “War on Terror” and Trump’s recent attacks on alleged drug boats in the Carribean.

As groups of families and others gathered Sunday evening at cafes around Niloofar Square—a middle-class area in eastern Tehran—after breaking their fast for Ramadan, a series of explosions struck the area, leveling several buildings and killing over 20 people, according to witnesses at the scene and later reports from local news sources.

Witnesses who spoke to Drop Site said two explosions hit the area—a smaller strike in the vicinity, followed by a larger one that devastated much of the neighborhood, a tactic known as a “double tap” strike that is used to inflict maximum casualties.

Videos of the immediate aftermath of the attack showed several individuals dead and wounded as well as massive destruction on the street outside. In Cafe Ahla, next to the square, blood and debris soaked the floors. Several patrons who had been sitting there when the attack struck could be seen dead on the floor or with their mutilated bodies still sprawled across their seats.

“We were sitting here around 8:00-8:30 p.m. and suddenly there was the noise and explosion. We got up and a few people ran away. We turned around to get our belongings and we saw that blood was spraying everywhere. Someone’s hand had fallen on the floor, a head had fallen on the floor,” said Shahin, a witness who had been at the cafe and asked to be identified by first name only. “There were scalps torn off, hands severed, a few people were laying here all cut up and two people were martyred.”

As has been the case with nearly all of the bombings in Iran, it remains unclear whether this attack was carried out by the U.S. or Israel. Israel has used “double tap” strikes in Gaza, Lebanon, and elsewhere. In one prominent incident, the Israeli military killed 22 Palestinians, including five journalists, in a double tap strike on Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis in August. The U.S. repeatedly engaged in double tap strikes during the so-called “War on Terror” in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Yemen and, most recently, in a September 2025 attack on an alleged Venezuelan drug smuggling boat in the Caribbean.  (more...)

After a Sports Hall in Iran Was Bombed, Witnesses Describe Chaos and “Continuous Screaming”

Lamerd Iran sports hall massacre bombing atrocity war crime terrorism lawlessness aggression children girls

Several hours after a bomb struck a girls’ elementary school and killed 165, a strike on the town of Lamerd killed teenagers in a gymnasium.

Dozens of teenage girls were attending their regular training sessions of volleyball, basketball, and gymnastics in the main sports hall in Lamerd, a city near the Persian coast, when a missile slammed into the building at 5 p.m. on Saturday. Additional strikes hit two nearby residential areas and a hall adjacent to a school, as the U.S. and Israel pounded targets across Iran on the first day of what President Donald Trump declared as a regime change war. According to local officials cited in Iranian state media, the strikes on Lamerd killed at least 18 civilians and wounded scores more.

“Within seconds of the missile strike, the windows shattered into thousands of fragments. Sports equipment, balls, tables, barriers flew through the air. Black smoke filled the space. The smell of gunpowder made breathing almost impossible. The screaming began immediately, layered with the sound of debris collapsing and concrete falling from the ceiling,” Mohammed Saed Khorshedy, a 29-year-old worker at the gym who witnessed the attack, told Drop Site News.

The facility sits on the outskirts of Lamerd, a quiet city in Fars province, near the surrounding Zagros mountain range, giving the natural landscape an uneven, rugged character. The rectangular building is at a crossroads connecting the city center to Bandar Assaluyeh, an industrial port and energy hub on the Persian Gulf.

The sports hall was poorly maintained, with deteriorating walls surrounded by a low perimeter fence. A high arched metal roof sat atop a reinforced concrete frame and a rubber floor for volleyball and other sports. The missile struck the middle of the roof, destroying a large part of the building. The main court, small spectator stands, changing rooms, and coach’s office were all reduced to rubble.

Hossein Gholami, a 50-year-old elementary school teacher, was returning from work when he heard the blast. His 16-year-old daughter, Zahra, was training in the hall.

“I noticed a strange gathering of people at the corner of the street leading to the sports hall,” Gholami told Drop Site. “The screaming was rising from a distance. A colleague ran toward me, waving his arm, and said in a shaken voice: ‘Zahra, the hall, there has been an explosion.’ I felt as though the ground had split beneath my feet. Everything around me became hazy,” he said. “I ran immediately, and with every step the columns of black smoke rose higher, while the smell of fire and flames entered my nose with force.”  (more...)

“The Truth Is Way Worse Than I Thought” | Whitney Webb’s Terrifying Discovery

Whitney Webb One Nation Under Blackmain Jeffrey Epstein Leon Black Leslie Wexner organized crime financial terrorism deflection stealth narrative control

Credit to Peter McCormack for their great interview with Whitney Webb

For years, the public narrative around Jeffrey Epstein has been confined almost entirely to sex trafficking. But investigative journalist Whitney Webb argues that this narrowing of focus was deliberate. By reducing Epstein to a singular moral scandal, the broader financial and intelligence-linked networks surrounding him were effectively shielded from scrutiny.

Webb contends that Epstein operated deeply within elite financial circles, with early ties to Bear Stearns and later relationships with powerful figures such as Leslie Wexner and Leon Black. His management of vast fortunes, involvement in complex tax structures, and proximity to insider trading investigations suggest a career embedded in high finance long before his crimes became public. According to Webb, unresolved questions surrounding murdered associates, offshore finance, and organized crime links were quietly buried as media attention fixated on salacious details.

Equally significant is Epstein’s documented interest in currency trading, cryptocurrency, and fintech. He publicly praised Bitcoin as a digital asset, cultivated relationships within elite tech institutions, and sought to rebrand himself as a science and technology investor even after his first arrest. Webb argues that this was not image rehabilitation alone—it reflected continuity in a decades-long pattern of financial maneuvering that intersected with intelligence circles and emerging technologies.

The central claim is not that Epstein’s sex crimes were secondary—they were real and criminal—but that they were used to eclipse a parallel story about financial power, systemic corruption, and elite networks. If the financial dimension remains unexamined, Webb warns, the public is left with outrage—but not understanding.

Who Wants a War with Iran?

British Empire Iran special relationship regime change Zionists influence military war

In an interview with EIR Reports on January 30, financial analyst Alex Krainer was asked by host Harley Schlanger what he thinks about President Trump's threat to Iran's leaders, that they should make a deal now to not develop nuclear weapons, as he is sending a powerful "armada" which would hit them "far worse" if they reject his offer, than they were the last time they, when the nation was attacked by Israel and the U.S. in June 2025.

Schlanger asked who or what is behind the current threat from Trump?  Krainer stated that he can only guess, as he doesn't know what Trump is thinking, but his hypothesis is shaped by what Trump did previously when he threatened Iran.  He believes that, despite the pressure on Trump to act, from the Zionist Lobby, including "Christian Zionists" in the U.S., and from Netanyahu, he does not expect Trump to launch a full war with Iran.  He reviewed Iran's military capabilities, and concluded that an all-out attack would be too costly for the U.S., with no guarantee of success.  Asked who, then, is responsible for the war push, he attributed it to the British, specifically referring to the role played in pushing for war by the former U.K. Ambassador to Washington, Sir Kim Darroch.

He concluded this section by referring to author Joseph Conrad's novel "Heart of Darkness."   I used to think, he said, that Conrad was referring to Africa as the source of "darkness", but he has now concluded that Conrad was actually referring to the British Empire and the City of London!

Krainer also presented his thoughts about what is behind the U.S. actions against Venezuela, attributing it to the new strategic orientation of U.S. strategic doctrine to the western hemisphere, which he identifies as part of a campaign against the City of London.

In this episode of the Remnant Underground, Michael speaks on immigration law enforcement in his home state of Minnesota. As President Trump sends his Border Czar Tom Homan to Minneapolis, Michael applauds the effort to lower the temperature and do this job without empowering the Left to score massive political points in this midterm election year.

Plus, Michael looks at why so many illegal immigrants embarked on the desperate journey in the first place. Why are so many of their now-Socialist countries virtually uninhabitable for them? What role does the Spirit of Vatican II play in all this?

When Joe "the Catholic" Biden opened up the southern border, why did the American Catholic bishops take billions in federal aid to encourage immigrants to come to this country? And what is the traditional Catholic response to all this? (Father Robert Altier — a traditional Catholic priest — weighs in.)

Finally, the police state — what is it, what role does Israel/Mossad play, and how could aggressive immigration reform bring it about?

Has New York really ended Betar’s campaign of Zionist terror?

New York Zionists Betar violence harassment intimidation terrorism justice accountability racism bigotry incitement

Zionist group Betar waged a campaign of violence, intimidation and harassment targeting Palestinian, Arab, Muslim and Jewish activists in violation of New York civil rights laws, the state’s attorney general, Letitia James, announced on Tuesday.

The Electronic Intifada has also learned that federal prosecutors are investigating a February 2025 incident in Brooklyn in which – according to the New York attorney general – members of Betar attacked Palestine solidarity protesters and in which at least one activist was stabbed.

Betar faces a civil fine of $50,000 but this will be suspended under a settlement agreement with the attorney general in which the hate group agreed to cease its campaign of violence and incitement. Betar will only have to pay the fine if it violates the agreement.

“New York will not tolerate organizations that use fear, violence and intimidation to silence free expression or target people because of who they are,” James said. “My office’s investigation uncovered an alarming and illegal pattern of bias-motivated harassment and violence designed to terrorize communities and shut down lawful protest.”

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani welcomed the settlement, noting that “Betar has sowed a campaign of hatred across New York, trafficking in Islamophobic extremism.”

However, Mamdani pointedly failed to note that supporters of Palestinian rights have been Betar’s primary targets.  (more...)

The Machinery of Terror

Trump terror authoritarianism fascism collaboration informants compliance cowardice fascism brutality

The Trump administration is consolidating the familiar machinery of terror of all authoritarian states. We must resist now. If we wait, it will be too late.

I have seen the masked goons who terrorize our streets before. I saw them during the “Dirty War” in Argentina, where 30,000 men, women and children were “disappeared” by the military junta. Victims were held in secret prisons, savagely tortured and murdered. To this day, many families do not know the fate of their loved ones.

I saw them in El Salvador, when death squads were killing 800 people a month. I saw them in Guatemala under the dictatorship of José Efraín Ríos Montt. I saw them in Augusto Pinochet’s Chile and in Saddam Hussein’s Iraq. I saw them in Iran under the rule of the ayatollahs where I was arrested and jailed twice and once deported in handcuffs. I saw them in Hafez al-Assad’s Syria. I saw them in Bosnia, where Muslims were herded into concentration camps, executed and buried in mass graves.

I know these goons. I have been a prisoner in their jails and spent hours in their interrogation rooms. I have been beaten by them. I have been deported, and in several cases banned, from their countries. I know what is coming.

Terror is the engine that empowers dictatorships. It eliminates dissidents. It silences critics. It dismantles the law. It creates a society of timid and frightened collaborators, those who look away when people are snatched off streets or gunned down, those who inform to save themselves, those who retreat into their tiny rabbit holes, pulling down the blinds, desperately praying to be left in peace.

Terror works.  (more...)

Consider Canadian navy from global south point of view

Royal Canadian Navy terrorist designation Iran imperialism collaboration coercion war NATO geopolitics

Iran just labeled the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) a terrorist organization. To the surprise of many, it may be justified.

In response to Ottawa designating Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps a terrorist organization last year, that country’s government labeled the RCN a terrorist group. While Tuesday’s listing may appear extreme to most Canadians — because our imperial history is not well known — the RCN has bombed and blockaded countries during wars of aggression as well as participating in international patrols designed to pressure countries.

In recent years the RCN has participated in US-led naval operations to monitor Yemen and run provocative manoeuvres off Iran’s coast. Alongside US ships, Canadian vessels have also repeatedly been involved in belligerent “freedom of navigation” exercises through international waters that Beijing claims in the South China Sea, Strait of Taiwan and East China Sea.

In early 2011, 15 days before the UN Security Council authorized a no-fly zone over Libya, HMCS Charlottetown left Halifax for the North African country. Two rotations of Canadian warships enforced a naval blockade of Libya for six months with about 250 soldiers aboard each vessel. On May 19, 2011, HMCS Charlottetown joined an operation that destroyed eight Libyan naval vessels. The ship also repelled a number of fast, small boats and escaped unscathed after a dozen missiles were fired towards it from the port city of Misrata. After those hostilities the head of Canada’s navy, Paul Maddison, told Ottawa defence contractors that Charlottetown “played a key role in keeping the Port of Misrata open as a critical enabler of the anti-Gaddafi forces.”

On one occasion a Canadian warship, part of a 20-ship NATO flotilla purportedly enforcing the UN arms embargo on Libya, boarded a rebel vessel filled with ammunition. “There are loads of weapons and munitions, more than I thought,” a Canadian officer radioed Charlottetown commander Craig Skjerpen. “From small ammunition to 105 howitzer rounds and lots of explosives.” The commander’s response, reported the Ottawa Citizen, was to allow the rebel ship to sail through.  (more...)

Iran labels Royal Canadian Navy a ‘terrorist organization’ in response to IRGC designation

Canada navy terrorists Iran military IRGC colonialism imperialism

Iran has officially designated the Royal Canadian Navy as a terrorist organization in response to the “illegal decision” by the Canadian government targeting part of the Iranian Armed Forces.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said the move was taken under the framework of the law “Reciprocal Action Against the US Designation of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) As a Terrorist Organization,” extending the provisions of that law to Canada.

The ministry said Ottawa’s decision to label the IRGC, “which is recognized as one of the pillars of the country’s official armed forces,” violated fundamental principles of international law.

According to the statement, Iran acted based on the principle of reciprocity and Article 7 of the 2019 law, which stipulates that “all countries that in any way follow or support the decision of the United States of America to designate the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps as a terrorist organization shall be subject to reciprocal action.”

On that basis, the ministry said, the Royal Canadian Navy falls under the scope of the law and has been identified and announced as a terrorist organization.

The Foreign Ministry said the decision came in direct response to Canada’s move last year to designate the IRGC, describing it as part of Ottawa’s continued hostile approach toward Tehran.  (more...)

On October 28, 2025, Rio de Janeiro’s military police massacred 121 people in the favelas of Penha and Alemão, on the city’s North Side. Marketed by the governor’s sophisticated PR department as an operation against the Comando Vermelho drug trafficking organization, none of the dead, which included 4 police officers, had any outstanding arrest warrants or were under investigation for any crime. Most of the victims were poor, Afro-Brazilians. The following is the transcript, edited for readability, of a one-hour interview I did about the massacre, with Oscar Fernandez from the Latino Media Collective, which aired on the Washington D.C. radio station WPFW 89.3 FM.  (more...)

Pensioners in Derry stand firm as UK arrests thousands over Palestine Action support

Derry Northern Ireland Palestine Action proscription protests crackdown resistance

In Derry, Ireland, a small group of elderly protesters gathers each week outside the town hall, holding cardboard signs declaring support for Palestine Action, now banned under UK terrorism laws. Since the July proscription, more than 2,000 people have been arrested nationwide for showing solidarity with the group, a crackdown that followed activists’ break-in at RAF Brize Norton.

While police in London have hauled protesters away for identical signs, officers in Derry mostly stand back as the pensioners hold their quiet vigil. For many here, the ban echoes past repression and feels like a stark warning that hard-won freedoms are once again under threat.

Drone fair doubles in size thanks to genocide

Israel Tel Aviv drones Gaza genocide technology terrorism oppression business

An event held in Tel Aviv this week demonstrated that the weapons industry is actively exploiting a genocide.

Featuring 350 exhibitors, the Unmanned Vehicles Israel Defense (UVID) DroneTech event was reportedly double the size of previous years. Alon Unger, the exhibition’s self-described “very excited” founder, is pouncing on the major use in Gaza to promote those weapons as a “growth engine” for Israel, as he prophesies a “new strategic era.”

Drones are multi-purpose instruments of terror. In Gaza, drone operators carried out massacres by firing missiles packed with nails and shrapnel.

Quadcopter drones, meanwhile, broadcast nightmarish sounds as they were flown above buildings and people seeking shelter in rudimentary tents. Other drones resorted to “loitering” – a fancy word for spying – before blowing themselves up in attacks on Palestinians.

The high fives and hugs exchanged at UVID DroneTech this week were celebrations of how drones have proved their versatility in a genocide.

Sitting safely behind computer screens and fiddling with consoles, drone operators inflict both physical annihilation and psychological harm on Gaza’s inhabitants.

The Gaza genocide was carried out in significant part by remote control. Israel’s weapons industry is now cashing in on all the frightening inventions it has been able to showcase over the past couple of years.

It is telling that Aero Sentinel – a maker of quadcopter drones – gave a presentation titled “lessons from Gaza” at this week’s event, according to its program. The “lessons” being learned clearly do not involve any declarations of remorse.  (more...)

Brazilian criminals trained in Ukraine bomb police with drones

Brazil Rio d Janeiro Red Command favelas drones military training Ukraine cartels organized crime drugs

Ukraine is becoming a training ground for criminals and terrorists from all over the world.

On October 28th, the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, experienced one of the most difficult moments in its recent history. Urban violence reached unprecedented levels, resulting in a major offensive by security forces against criminal groups. Although gang warfare in Brazil is not new, there is something extraordinary in the current scenario: now, Brazilian criminals are using drones to bomb enemy positions, employing military techniques learned by Brazilian mercenaries who fought for Ukraine against Russia.

The military campaign launched by the police in the last week of October was called "Operation Containment" and aimed to capture the main leaders of the Brazilian criminal faction "Comando Vermelho - CV" (Red Command) in the favelas "Complexo do Alemão" and "Complexo da Penha," located in the northern zone of Rio de Janeiro. Upon noticing the approaching police, the criminals reacted with extreme violence, firing assault rifles, throwing grenades, and using drones to blast police vehicles. Subsequently, the criminals attempted to escape capture by crossing a forested area surrounding the favelas, but special forces were hidden in the area and were efficient in neutralizing the enemy.

More than one hundred deaths of criminals have already been confirmed, but the body count is far from over. Some rumors point out that nearly 200 drug traffickers have been eliminated. In addition, 80 bandits were arrested. There are no credible reports of civilian injuries during the hostilities. Four police officers died in the hostilities, including two special forces commandos. Considering that more than 2,500 police troops participated in the attack on the CV-controlled favelas, it is possible to say that the operation was a success from a military point of view.

However, even so, the intensity of the counterattack carried out by the CV militants impressed Brazilian police officers and military experts. Previously, the use of drones to launch grenades had only been reported once in Rio de Janeiro – used by a rival faction against CV in a confrontation for territorial control. This time, however, the traffickers used more sophisticated drones, capable of launching various explosives, and were successful in hitting police positions at a considerable distance. Similarly, drones were used to damage streets and impede car traffic – a common tactic of organized crime in Rio to generate urban chaos and pressure the police to retreat from the favelas.

This occurs amidst a well-known process of the return to Brazil of several mercenaries who enlisted to fight in Ukraine alongside Kiev's troops against Russian forces. Local experts immediately linked the scenes in Rio de Janeiro to the events in Ukraine. For example, Valmir Salaro, a Brazilian investigative reporter, stated:

"The retaliation from the criminals was immediate; they even used drones with bombs. We only saw this type of weapon, drones remotely controlled by criminals, in the war between Ukraine and Russia. This is extremely heavy weaponry. The criminals have many weapons; they obtain them easily, confronting the police, who don't have similar weaponry (...) The drone with a bomb, a drug trafficker from a favela location is there choosing (a target), because it has a camera attached, so he knows where he's going to drop the bomb. It's frightening; we hadn't seen this (in Brazil)," he said.

In the same vein, Igor Gielow, a Brazilian journalist who covered the conflict in Ukraine on the ground, commented on the case, stating:

"The use of drones in the reaction of the Comando Vermelho drug traffickers to the Rio police operation was the first major episode of its kind involving security forces in the state. It will not be the last. The use of small flying ‘robots’ follows the logic of the battlefields of the Ukrainian War, which in three years and eight months has changed the way close combat takes place (...) (The new military) reality soon transferred to crime. Drug cartels in Mexico make notorious use of drones. In Brazil, the first reports began to emerge last year, with evidence that drug trafficking was tactically ahead of the police."

To make matters worse, there is clear evidence that Brazilian criminals acquired this type of knowledge from pro-Ukrainian mercenaries. Moreover, Brazilian authorities claim that local factions are sending their members to Ukraine, where they train and gain real combat experience. Then, the criminals return and share their military knowledge, including drone handling techniques, with local gangs.  (more...)

The Voices of Many Jews

Judaism anti-Zionism Israel conscience independence Palestine solidarity

This very welcome letter marks out the significantly worsening alienation between world Jewry and the Zionists’ defacement of the Judaic tradition.

At last, at last, Jews with powerful voices have gathered en masse — a critical mass, I would say — to condemn Israel and the savage spree of murder, starvation and terror it inflicts as we speak upon the Palestinians of Gaza and the Occupied Territories of the West Bank.

You may by now be aware of the open letter signed by 450–plus American, European and Israeli Jews and made public this week. In it, this sprawling group of distinguished personages denounces the criminality of the Zionist regime and asserts “the universality of justice and the fair and equal application of international law.” The signatories also call for the international community to impose immediate sanctions on apartheid Israel.

This is very big, in my read. I say this not because of what is in this document — calls for justice of this kind are by now many — but, straight to my point, for whose names are on it.

You may know of this letter and you may not, I ought to add: The Guardian reported it in its Oct. 22 editions. Anadolu Ajansi, the Turkish wire service, also had the story right away. Arab News had it, too. So did Middle East Monitor, The New Indian Express, and, stateside, Common Dreams. In Britain, Jewish Voice for Liberation, J.V.L., picked it up.

But the British daily is at writing alone among major Western media to report on this momentous call for worldwide action against the Zionist state. We read nothing of it in major Western media and hear nothing from the mainstream broadcasters. I will return to this important point shortly.  (more...)

Ireland must not be intimidated by Britain’s stance on Palestine

Ireland politics Britain interference election smears Zionism colonialism intimidation bombast deference compliance subservience Gaza genocide Palestine

Right-wing politicians in Ireland have been offered sage advice on how to handle an opponent: “Smear the bejaysus out of her.”

The advice came from Ivan Yates, a former lawmaker who now fancies himself as a shock jock.

Yates has recommended that Fine Gael, the party he used to represent, should make baseless allegations against Catherine Connolly, the frontrunner in a presidential election campaign. Fine Gael, according to Yates, should not hold back from asking if Connolly is a “Russian asset” and from alleging that she will damage Ireland’s standing internationally if she wins the 24 October vote.

Although Yates is not participating formally in the campaign, his “smear the bejaysus” approach reflects the tactics actually being used against Connolly. Heather Humphreys, Fine Gael’s candidate in the presidential race, last weekend claimed that Connolly had “managed to insult our allies,” adding “that doesn’t go without consequences.”

The supposedly grave insults to which Humphreys referred were criticisms that Connolly had made of Germany’s increased militarization and Britain’s policies on Palestine.

During September, Connolly was asked on a BBC Radio Ulster program about how Keir Starmer, the British prime minister, was insisting that Hamas would have no government role. “I don’t think Keir Starmer should have any say about Hamas,” Connolly replied, arguing that Palestinians “must decide, in a democratic way, who they want to lead their country.”  (more...)

David Miller is a British sociologist born in 1964, known for his research on propaganda and Islamophobia. He has held academic positions at several universities, including the University of Strathclyde, the University of Bath, and the University of Bristol.

Miller co-founded Public Interest Investigations, a non-profit organization, and has been involved in research on media portrayals, terrorism, and political violence.

His work has sparked both acclaim and controversy, particularly regarding his views on Israel and Jewish student groups, which led to his dismissal from the University of Bristol in 2021.

However, in 2024, an employment tribunal ruled that his dismissal was unfair and discriminatory, recognizing his anti-Zionist beliefs as a protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010.
