To delve deeper into the mystery of this great might-have-been I engaged the help of the Google AI assistant. Apparently, it’s part of the Gemini AI family. National March for Palestine and the UK March for Life took place in central London on the same day, Saturday, September 6, 2025. There is no link between the two events in terms of purpose or organisation; they are separate demonstrations with entirely different, and in fact opposing, causes and objectives.

In this week’s Remnant Underground, Michael Matt goes where the actual (as opposed to the false flag) Deep State doesn’t want anybody to go -- back to Rome 1965,  the Second Vatican Council,  where something extraordinary happened that impacted the lives of every person on earth, Christian or  not.

One of the fundamental axioms of Thomistic philosophy is “agere sequitur esse,” which means that action follows being. This means that “what a thing does must necessarily reflect what it is in some way.” My corollary to this axiom is that there can be no action without consciousness. This is true of all human action, but it has special relevance to political action.

On July 22, an Interim Staff Report on President Biden’s FBI Catholic spy ring was released by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan. Thanks to Kash Patel, the current FBI director, some of the information is new. When pieced together what we already knew, the picture that emerges is one of an FBI that went off the rails. Christopher Wray, who led the FBI under Biden, bears much of the blame.

The FBI was focused on “radical-traditionalist Catholics.” Who are these people? According to the FBI’s own internal review of this matter, “investigators found that many FBI employees could not even define the meaning of ‘radical-traditionalist Catholic’ when preparing, editing, or reviewing” the Richmond Field office memorandum that authorized the probe.

In other words, the FBI decided that these Catholics were a problem, even though they were unable to explain who they are. FBI agents were convinced that the so-called rad-trads were “linked” to “racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists.” What made them think this way is still a mystery, but we know they found nothing. That’s because there is no record of very conservative Catholics linking up with violent thugs. Indeed, on this basis alone there was no reason to investigate them.

This didn’t stop some FBI operatives from categorizing “certain Catholic Americans as potential domestic terrorists.” They came to this absurd conclusion based on articles their employees read. “How Extremist Gun Culture is Trying to Co-opt the Rosary” is one of the gems they named as evidence of the nefarious agenda of “rad-trad” Catholics.  (more...)

New Report on Biden-FBI Catholic Spy Ring

Canada’s ‘father of abortion’ was a Holocaust survivor. Did trauma make him a killer?

 

It has long haunted me how Henry Morgentaler, sometimes referred to as Canada’s “father of abortion,” survived Nazi concentration camps only to go on to perpetrate similar horrors against the smallest and most vulnerable members of the human family: preborn children.

How did a Jewish Holocaust survivor from Poland—someone who endured the worst of man’s inhumanity to man at the infamous Nazi camps of Auschwitz-Birkenau and later Dachau—go on to dehumanize and destroy tens of thousands of preborn human beings, robbing them of their most fundamental right: the right to life?

Morgentaler’s biographies provide vivid accounts of his survival, though some critics question the credibility of those accounts. Eleanor Wright Pelrine, in her 1975 book Morgentaler: The Doctor Who Couldn’t Turn Away, wrote about how Nazis rounded up the 21-year-old Morgentaler from a Jewish ghetto in August 1944, herding him along with his mother and younger brother, Mumek (Mike), onto an overflowing train bound for the dreaded Auschwitz-Birkenau camp where over a million people were murdered.

It was during the “selection” process after arriving that Morgentaler saw his mother for the last time. He and his brother were selected for work, their mother for the gas chambers. Prisoners had their belongings confiscated, they were stripped naked, shaved from head to foot, and provided striped prison garb along with wooden shoes. A huge chimney nearby spewed forth black, stinking smoke, a brief testimony lingering in the sky to those who were murdered in the gas chambers and were later cremated.

Morgentaler was soon transferred to the Dachau work camp, where—in a deliberate effort to dehumanize prisoners—he was stripped of his name and identified only by a number: 95077. The camp routine consisted of 12 hours of hard labor and 5-6 hours of sleep. Food, consisting of watery soup and bread, was rationed and insufficient. Prisoners died from malnutrition, exhaustion, and exposure. There were constant beatings. Fear was everywhere. One day, Morgentaler, starving and sick, reported to the infirmary. He glanced at his reflection in the mirror. The emaciated figure he saw staring back at him filled him with horror.

“I looked like death incarnated—and I started to cry. I thought it must be the end,” he recounted.  (more...)

In no other country in Europe, except perhaps France, is there a better understanding of the American Revolution and the question of nationhood. The fight for freedom in Poland went hand in hand with America's. This becomes vivid when one grasps the role of Polish national hero Tadeusz Kosciuszko.

Kosciuszko and another Pole, Casimir Pulaski, were among the best known of the European officers who fought in the American War of Independence. Kosciuszko arrived in America before any other European officer. He was already at sea when the Continental Congress passed the Declaration of Independence, and he arrived in America in August of 1776.

Educated at the first Polish military academy, the Szola Rycerska (Knights School), where he studied military engineering, fortifications and tactics, philosophy, mathematics, and Polish history, Kosciuszko had his first appointment as an engineer with the rank of colonel.

In America, Kosciuszko became acclaimed for his role in the Battle of Saratoga, where his construction and fortification of the camp enabled Gen. Horatio Gates and his army to withstand two violent British attacks. The first American victory against the British, this was a strategic turning point in the war, since Kosciuszko helped prevent the British from cutting off New England-and with it the majority of the Continental Army-from the rest of the colonies.

Kosciuszko is probably best known for building the fortifications at West Point, where he was appointed Chief of Works not long after Saratoga.

He stayed there for two years, overseeing the fortifications, after which he spent three years in the southern campaigns of the Continental Army, under Nathaniel Green. In all, Kosciuszko was with the American forces for almost seven years, longer than any other European officer; his qualifications and accomplishments secured him the rank of general in the American army.

Thus Kosciuszko was an important member of the international conspiracy that planned and carried out the American revolution. He was a founding member of the Society of Cincinnatus, established in 1783 and consisting of officers who had fought in the American War of Independence. General Lafayette, as a leader of the organization, was determined to use the victory in America to fight for humanist republics also in Europe.  (more...)

The Dark Side of Virgil Dechant’s Legacy

Under Virgil Dechant’s leadership, the Knights of Columbus – that is, its local members – continued to raise millions of dollars in charitable funds for worthwhile projects, including refugee relief programs, especially in the Middle East; assistance to victims of natural disasters in the U.S. and abroad; the restoration of St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome and other Vatican antiquities; support for prolife emergency pregnancy services, and financial assistance to special needs groups.   

These efforts, made possible thanks to funds raised by local rank-and-file Knights, are not in dispute. They are fully acknowledged by this writer with the attached caveat included in the end notes.

What is in dispute are the financial and moral misadventures of Supreme Knight, Virgil C. Dechant, along with members of the Knights of Columbus ruling Supreme Council, which paved the way for further misadventures under Dechant’s Opus Dei successor, Carl Anderson. 

Following is just a sampling of the Knights’ deadly ill-advised grants, programs and policies that took place under the Dechant administration, including the sexual abuse cases of minor boys by Knights that occurred during Dechant’s rule, but which were later ruthlessly litigated under the Anderson administration. 

Its purpose is to provide further background on the Knights of Columbus prior to the take-over of the corporation by Opus, and to document the growth of the ever-widening chasm that exists between the worldview of rank-and-file member Knights and that of the National Officers who make up the ruling and spending class of the Knights of Columbus corporate structure.  (more...)
