Forcillo trial: Court shown video of Yatim shooting

Sammy Yatim’s final moments before he was fatally shot by Const. James Forcillo were captured by several videos, his murder trial heard today.

Crown attorney Milan Rupic told the jury four TTC cameras and two people with cellphones recorded the interaction between Forcillo and the 18-year-old on the streetcar in July 2013.

While Forcillo, 32, admitted shooting Yatim, he has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder and attempted murder charges.

Veteran SIU investigator Steve Adam testified he obtained the TTC digital video from the streetcar hours after the shooting.  (more...)
