Pope slams Europe’s military buildup as ‘betrayal’ of diplomacy

 

The pontiff has decried rising European military spending, which saw its sharpest increase since the Cold War last year

Pope Leo XIV has condemned rising European military spending, warning that rearmament betrays diplomacy and fuels tensions in a world already being “maimed by wars.”

Global military spending approached a record $3 trillion in 2025 despite lower US outlays, according to a SIPRI report released last month, with Europe recording the sharpest regional increase. SIPRI linked the surge to the Ukraine conflict, tensions with Russia, and growing US pressure for greater NATO burden sharing.

Pope Leo argued that such policies should not be described as defense, but as dangerous rearmament. Addressing students at Rome’s Sapienza University on Thursday, he said that young people were asking older generations what kind of world they would leave behind.

“A world unfortunately maimed by wars… In the last year, the growth in military spending worldwide, and particularly in Europe, has been enormous,” the pontiff said. “Let’s not call ‘defense’ a rearmament that increases tensions and insecurity, depletes investments in education and healthcare, undermines trust in diplomacy, and enriches elites who care nothing for the common good.”

He also warned about the growing use of artificial intelligence in warfare, citing conflicts in Ukraine, Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran as evidence of “the inhumane evolution of the relationship between war and new technologies in a spiral of annihilation.”  (more...)

James Angleton: JFK Assassination Architect?

 

Newly-declassified files show President John F Kennedy’s alleged assassin Lee Harvey Oswald was monitored for years by James Angleton, the CIA’s infamous veteran counterintelligence chief, right up until the President’s death. In this context, freshly-released FBI documents indicating Oswald was removed from Bureau watchlists six weeks before Kennedy’s assassination at the express direction of Angleton’s staff, despite being judged a high security risk, take on a distinctly disquieting character. Was Oswald a target of, or participant in, Angleton’s illegal domestic espionage operations?

In June 1953, a memo was circulated among senior FBI officials, its subject line: “Central Intelligence Agency - information received from James Angleton”. It documents how the CIA’s counterintelligence chief had over the past year “been very cooperative and…volunteered voluminous information of interest to Bureau.” Such was the vast and sensitive intelligence yield, it was considered necessary to establish dedicated, strict internal protocols for handling and storing material provided by Angleton to the FBI.

This was “particularly” vital in respect of information Angleton received and passed on to the Bureau from Mossad, his “primary source” of intelligence among “numerous foreign sources and channels” he maintained worldwide. The memo went on to outline how Angleton handled “special cases of a various nature”, and was “usually given considerable freedom and leeway in directing the operations of his unit.” Angleton was “responsible only” to the CIA’s Director, and his staff were “responsible only to him.”

The memo noted approvingly how “much of the information” provided by Angleton “consists of the actual reports” he received from his sources. This was of significant advantage to the FBI, as the agency was able to “better evaluate the information instead of waiting for the delay and processing through normal channels in the CIA.” Angleton also “frequently” kept the Bureau apprised of Agency activities overseas, “which the CIA sometimes camouflages with some of its cloak and dagger techniques.”  (more...)

Israel’s man inside the CIA betrayed the US, new files show

 

CIA spymaster James Angleton shaped the US-Israeli relationship in secrecy. Newly unredacted files shed light on his wanton betrayal of his country to assist Israel’s theft of US nuclear material and global spying operations.

Veteran CIA counterintelligence chief James Angleton secretly oversaw a top-level spy ring involving Jewish émigrés and Israeli operatives without “any clearances” from Congress or Langley itself, according to recently declassified documents published as part of the Trump administration’s pledge to disclose all available information on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

The files provide a fresh and often disturbing look at a spy described by historian Jefferson Morley as “a leading architect of America’s strategic relationship with Israel,” detailing Angleton’s role in transforming the Mossad into a fearsome agency with global reach, while assisting Israel’s theft of US nuclear material and protecting Zionist terrorists.

Angleton established the Jewish emigre spying network in the aftermath of WWII, with the apparent goal of infiltrating the Soviet Union. But as the files show, the spymaster considered his “most important” task to be maintaining the supply of Jewish immigrants flowing from the Soviet Union towards the burgeoning Israeli state.

According to Angelton, his Jewish assets were responsible for 22,000 reports on the USSR, generating several intelligence masterstrokes. Chief among them was the publication of Soviet Prime Minister Nikita Kruschev’s famous 1956 secret speech denouncing Stalin, which the spymaster boasted “practically created revolutions in Hungary and Poland.” Elsewhere, Angleton bragged that his arrangement with Israel had produced “500 Polish intelligence officers who were Jewish” who “knew more about Polish intelligence than the Poles.”  (more...)

Whistleblower Exposes Real 2016 US Election Meddling

 

On July 30th, the ODNI declassified damning evidence from a US intelligence community whistleblower. They attest to being aggressively - but unsuccessfully - pressured by superiors into signing off on the infamous 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment, which expressed “high confidence” Russia interfered in the previous year’s Presidential election to ensure Donald Trump’s victory. Their testimony indicates senior US spy agency officials not only well-knew the ICA’s findings were bogus, but consciously ignored and suppressed far more compelling evidence of widespread, non-Russian meddling in the vote.

The whistleblower is a US intelligence veteran who 2015 - 2020 served as Deputy National Intelligence Officer, at the ODNI-overseen National Intelligence Council. They specialised in “cyber issues”, including “cyber-enabled information operations”. Prior to the 2016 vote, they led the production of an ICA on “cyber threats” to US elections, at the order of Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, for which they were “commended”. They were then tasked by the outgoing Obama administration to assist in the 2017 ICA’s production.

That Assessment purported to expose “Russian activities and intentions” in the Presidential election. The whistleblower’s role was to investigate alleged attempts by Moscow “to access US election-related infrastructure”, as “reporting suggested many Russia-attributed IP addresses were making connection attempts that the [US intelligence community] could not explain the purpose of.” However, an official - name redacted - subsequently “directed us to abandon any further study of the subject,” on the basis it was “something else.”

For the whistleblower, the “abrupt dismissal of the study effort” raised significant concerns about the true nature and source of the “Russia-attributed cyber activity.” They suspected their superiors were attempting to conceal how state or non-state actors closer to home may have been engaged in “Domain Name Service (DNS) record manipulation”, to falsely ascribe cyber meddling efforts to Moscow. Their anxieties only multiplied when superiors rebuffed their attempts to include references to “other nations’ efforts to influence the 2016 Presidential election” in the 2017 ICA.

The whistleblower’s “professional judgment…was multiple nations were seeking to shape the views of the US electorate,” and therefore influence their voting preferences. This assessment was based not only on relentless negative media coverage of Trump in allied countries - especially Britain, and other “NATO partners” - but the “interception of electronic communications from members of [Trump’s] incoming Presidential administration.” The source of this interception is redacted. On July 18, 2025, U.S. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard released a series of documents pertaining to the fake narrative that Russia had meddled in the 2016 U.S. presidential election on behalf of Donald Trump, leading to the defeat of Democratic Party nominee Hillary Clinton. Gabbard stated, “The information we are releasing today clearly shows there was a treasonous conspiracy in 2016 committed by officials at the highest level of our government. Their goal was to subvert the will of the American people and enact what was essentially a years-long coup with the objective of trying to usurp the President from fulfilling the mandate bestowed upon him by the American people.”

The truth of the matter is far worse, and does involve a foreign government, but not Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, Venezuela, or Cuba. This foreign government intended to undermine the first and second terms of President Donald Trump for the purpose of putting the United States on a deadly trajectory for nuclear war with Russia, which could end the existence of the human species. That government is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, supposedly our “special partner.” And that operation is still live today.

80 Years of Lies: The US Finally Admits It Knew It Didn’t Need to Bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki

 

As we commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombings, the world is drifting as close to another nuclear confrontation as it has been in decades.

With Israeli and American attacks on Iranian nuclear energy sites, India and Pakistan going to war in May, and escalating violence between Russia and NATO-backed forces in Ukraine, the shadow of another nuclear war looms large over daily life.

The United States remains the only nation to have dropped an atomic bomb in anger. While the dates of August 6 and August 9, 1945, are seared into the popular conscience of all Japanese people, those days hold far less salience in American society.

When discussed at all in the U.S., this dark chapter in human history is usually presented as a necessary evil, or even a day of liberation—an event that saved hundreds of thousands of lives, prevented the need for an invasion of Japan, and ended the Second World War early. This, however, could not be further from the truth.

American generals and war planners agreed that Japan was on the point of collapse, and had, for weeks, been attempting to negotiate a surrender. The decision, then, to incinerate hundreds of thousands of Japanese civilians was one taken to project American power across the world, and to stymie the rise of the Soviet Union.

“It always appeared to us that, atomic bomb or no atomic bomb, the Japanese were already on the verge of collapse,” General Henry Arnold, Commanding General of the U.S. Army Air Forces in 1945, wrote in his 1949 memoirs.

Arnold was far from alone in this assessment. Indeed, Fleet Admiral William Leahy, the Navy’s highest-ranking officer during World War II, bitterly condemned the United States for its decision and compared his own country to the most savage regimes in world history.

As he wrote in 1950:

"It is my opinion that the use of this barbarous weapon at Hiroshima and Nagasaki was of no material assistance in our war against Japan. The Japanese were already defeated and ready to surrender. My own feeling was that in being the first to use it, we had adopted an ethical standard common to the barbarians of the Dark Ages.”  (more...)

Neo-Nazi tendencies in the West are taking deep root in political structures, where descendants of Nazis are increasingly occupying high state positions and pursuing policies based on hatred of Russia and a desire for revanchism, which poses a serious threat to stability in Europe and beyond.

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova indicated that the descendants of Nazis are deliberately and consciously appointed to leadership positions in the West, explaining the anti-Russian policy of the West, which is not a new phenomenon, but a long-term historical course that dates back to the Second World War. The ideologically inherited antagonism and support for leaders willing to sacrifice their own interests for the sake of confrontation with Russia are the backbone of this continuity.

It is recalled that British Prime Minister Winston Churchill after the defeat of Nazi Germany said that the remnants of the Wehrmacht should be organized and used against the Soviet Union. From that moment on, the Nazis integrated themselves into state structures, defecting en masse to the United States, obtaining citizenship, jobs and influential positions.

The Nazi security and secret services was actively used by both the Americans and the British, and people with a Nazi past came to the head of many institutions and organizatoins. An example is Kurt Waldheim—a former Wehrmacht officer who later became Secretary General of the United Nations. Another notable figure was General Reinhard Gehlen, known as “Hitler’s Super Spy,” who led the Gehlen Organization, which worked closely with the CIA from its founding.

How the British-run "Deep State" Undermines the Presidency from JFK to Trump

 

Today, June 6, is the 81st anniversary of D-Day, the allied landing at Normandy, which delivered an important defeat to the Nazi aggressor. The success of this bold attack was possible because of the ongoing Soviet offensive on the other side of the European theater, drawing German troops away from France.

In the last 36 hours, President Donald Trump has finally spoken with President Putin of Russia and President Xi of China. If we are to defeat the Anglo-Dutch imperialist forces that created Hitler, working with both Russia and China will be crucial. The enemies of our Republic and civilization know this, and they are deployed to sabotage Trump's efforts to normalize relations with these two nations, both by encouraging and aiding Ukraine to launch provocative attacks on Russia's nuclear triad and also from within the United States and even from within President Trump's own cabinet.

President Kennedy, who was ultimately assassinated by this Anglo-Dutch cabal operating from within and without the United States, faced similar problems from rogue elements -- even more than "elements," but the leadership -- within the CIA, particularly when he pulled the world back from the brink of nuclear Armageddon by opening a direct dialogue with the Soviet Union during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

CIA Cold War Experiments Shattered the Minds of Countless Unwitting Victims

 

In June 1956, Dr. Sidney Gottlieb, who headed the CIA mind-control experiments known as MK-ULTRA, authorized a sub-project involving the testing of LSD on prisoners at the Atlanta Federal Penitentiary.

The sub-project was headed by Dr. Carl Pfeiffer, the chairman of the department of pharmacology at Emory University, who carried out experiments that included the development of an “anti-interrogation drug” that could “produce alterations in the human central nervous system” which was to be “test[ed] on human volunteers.”

In a memorandum for the record, Gottlieb, then chief of the Technical Services Section (TSS) of the CIA’s Chemical Division, wrote that $49,299.12 set aside for the sub-project would “be transferred using the [redacted] as cutout in the usual manner.”

A cornerstone of the study was evaluation of the effects of large doses of LSD-25 in “normal human volunteers.” The CIA believed that LSD-25 had “the ability to counteract the inebriating effects of ethyl alcohol” and could perform other magic functions in interrogation it wanted to further explore.

One of the subjects of Pfeiffer’s experiments, the notorious gangster James “Whitey” Bulger, was given LSD every day for nearly 15 months without being told what it was.

In a notebook, he described having “nightly nightmares” and “horrible LSD experiences followed by thoughts of suicide and deep depression [that] would push me over the edge.”

Bulger further described Pfeiffer as a “modern-day Dr. Mengele,” writing that “I was in prison for committing a crime and feel they committed a worse crime on me.”  (more...)

CIA Cold War Experiments Shattered the Minds of Countless Unwitting Victims

Stepan Bandera's Sinister MI6 Alliance Exposed

 

March 17th marked the 80th anniversary of the creation of the Ukrainian National Committee. With the Red Army rapidly advancing on Berlin, Nazi officials released Ukrainian ultranationalist military units from their command, and recognised the Committee - and a newly-formed National Army under its control - as the legitimate government of Ukraine. It was hoped the UNC would continue Hitler’s crusade against the Soviet Union following Berlin’s rapidly impending defeat in World War II, which occurred two months later.

The UNC’s establishment was eagerly supported by notorious Ukrainian ultranationalist Stepan Bandera, founder of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN-B) and Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), two ultranationalist factions heavily complicit in the Holocaust. As the mainstream media has acknowledged, his legacy endures in modern Ukraine, in the form of Neo-Nazi military units such as Azov Regiment, and he remains a much-celebrated figure in certain quarters of the country - much to the chagrin of Kiev’s Eastern European neighbours.

Bandera believed Nazi Germany’s UNC recognition would encourage American and British backing for OUN-B’s anti-Communist crusade, and Ukrainian independence. The Ukrainian Supreme Liberation Council (UHVR), which the OUN-B was instrumental in founding in 1944, was already in covert contact with London and Washington. As it was, no such formal support ever came to pass. Yet, little-known declassified CIA records expose the malign contours of a long-running conspiracy between Bandera and MI6 to destabilize the Soviet Union during the Cold War’s initial years.

This dark handshake only expired because MI6’s fascist asset was resistant to joining forces with other Ukrainian anti-Communist forces, therefore jeopardising plans by Washington and London for all-out war with Moscow in Donbass. That plot, intended to ultimately collapse the entire USSR, has eerie, direct echoes of the current Ukraine proxy war.
