Ukraine is quickly running out of able bodied men so now they are recruiting women to fight in their place. Putin today said that the US is forcing this fight until every last Ukrainian is dead. Is he wrong? Meanwhile the head of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council has claimed a third world war is already underway, with the Moscow-Kiev conflict pulling in countries far beyond the region.
"They're calling it Ukraine's Zombie army... Ukrainian men riddle with HIV, Mental disorders, tuberculosis and more are no being listed as FIT for duty... FIT for military service. Zombies that they can throw into the meat grinder as cannon fodder.
And now Europe is getting involved... remember all those military aged Ukrainian refugees who fled to Poland and other countries throughout Europe and the west? Well now Ukraine is asking those countries to please send those men back... we need them to fight and die on the front lines. "

Back in 2015, when I was driving from Kuopio Finland up to the country’s far north to write an article on global warming and how it was affecting the Sami indigenous people of Lappland, I found myself offering rides to a number of Ukrainian young people, mostly male, or males accompanied by girlfriends, who were fleeing the civil war in their country, which saw Ukrainian forces, including the fascist Azov Battalion, shelling and shooting at ethnic Russians in the two breakaway oblasts of Donetsk and Lugansk.
These young people of draft age all told me they were fleeing their country to avoid being drafted to fight in a war against their countrymen in eastern Ukraine, a majority Russian region of Ukraine. “I have nothing against those people in Donbas,” one young man told me, “and I don’t want to be forced to kill them and get killed myself.”
They had all gone to Finland because of short-term agricultural work visas available to people willing to pick blueberries, which cover the forest floor above the Arctic Circle at that time of summer.
I appreciated their dilemma. Back in the Spring of 1967 I and many young men like me of draft age were faced with a draft at a time that the US was ramping up a war against Vietnam and forces in that country that were fighting for its liberation from a century or more of colonial and imperial subjugation and for unification after the US had blocked a unification election fearing it would result in a victory by national hero and Communist Party leader Ho Chi Minh.
I didn’t want to support the US war, or any war. My options were leaving for Canada, as some of my school classmates did, hiding out and dodging the draft and the FBI, which others did, or resisting the draft and refusing to be inducted, which would likely mean federal prison, as others did. I knew I would not participate in the war in Indochina in any capacity, even doing “alternative service.” With a low draft lottery number (81) assuring I would get a call to be inducted into the army, I chose resistance. Online, anonymous accusations of sexual assault and abuse are skyrocketing in Quebec, with high-profile figures from the entertainment world targeted, as well as professors, teachers, politicians and those in the restaurant industry.
Dozens of social media sites on Instagram and Facebook have popped up, with women and even some teenage girls detailing everything from toxic work environments to incidents of sexual assault.
One of the latest accused is Quebec singer Dan Bigras, who posted a video to his Facebook page saying a journalist told him a woman is accusing him of forcibly kissing her 10 years ago.
Bigras responded, by saying in the video, “It’s an extremely serious allegation. All I have to defend myself is my voice. The accusation is false, I never did that.”
Bigras is the latest in a wave of high-profile Quebecers accused of sexual harassment, assault or abuse on social media. (more...)
For months, I’ve been wanting to have a conversation about Mona Eltahawy and the new feminist extremism she embodies. There were a number of women’s platforms I could have published this piece on that all cater to women’s issues.
I chose Clarion Project because what I’m about to discuss is not just a niche women’s rights or feminist issue; it’s an issue of extremism.
Since 2018, I’ve broadened the subjects I cover from Islamist extremism, which wants to crush the West, to other types of extremism, including:
Neo-Nazis, who want to crush non-Eurocentric races
Antifa, which wants to crush White Supremacists (and seemingly a lot of others)
And now, feminists, who want to crush men
I can’t ignore that a serious branch of feminism has devolved into another form of extremism.
I can’t ignore that feminism, as it’s represented today, is both psychologically (and sometimes physically) violent. (more...)
Dozens of college-age men dead from ‘accidental’ drownings—but a team of retired detectives say the boys were drugged and killed by a shadowy gang with a sinister symbol.
On the evening of Dec. 15, 2016, Dakota James called his friend Shelley in a panic.
He was cold, disoriented, and scared out of his mind, wandering the streets of downtown Pittsburgh, trying to find someone—anyone—who would help him.
“I don’t know where I am,” he told her, sobbing. “I’m so cold. Please help me. I’m lost.”
Shelley didn’t hesitate.
“I’m thinking, ‘Did he get mugged? Did he get beat up? Was he in a car accident?’” she told The Daily Beast this week. “I was so scared. I said, ‘Where are you?’ I’m coming.’”
“Pittsburgh’s North Side,” he told her.
She quickly hopped into her car to go get him, then remembered she could use her cellphone to figure out where he was because he’d enabled location services with her when she gave him a ride to the airport months ago.
That program was telling her he was on Pittsburgh’s South Side. But Dakota was texting her as she drove, trying to guide her. “I’m here,” he texted, sending a picture of a jean-covered leg. “Please help me. I’m so cold. The cops won’t help me.’”
Her phone’s location services told her he was at a Springhill Suites on Water Street in Pittsburgh’s South Side, not North. She texted him that with a question mark.
“I’m here^^^^,” he texted back. “I honestly don’t know.”
She got there in less than 10 minutes, arriving around 11:30 p.m. As she pulled up to the hotel, she saw a dark SUV in the wrong lane, facing the wrong direction. And Dakota was walking out of the hotel and straight toward the SUV.
“I pulled up not even 10 feet away from the SUV,” she said. “I said, ‘Dakota!’ He turns, looks back then comes over to me, got in my car, and we left.”
He wasn’t slurring his words. He was walking a straight line, not staggering at all. His clothes weren’t disheveled or wet or dirty. He was emotional, still crying, and he was scared but he did not appear to be drunk.
“What happened?” she asked him. “Are you OK?”
He didn’t want to talk about it, he said.
“He said he just became aware that he was walking on the street and he had no idea where he was or how he got there,” said Shelley, 35, who asked that her last name be used to protect her privacy. “He said he went up to a police officer and they didn’t help him. So, then he called me.”
The last thing he remembered, he told her, was leaving his work Christmas party then heading to some bars with his coworkers from J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc., where he was a carrier sales coordinator. That was around 7:15 p.m. Everything since then was a blank.
“I said, ‘Do you want to go to the hospital?’ Because I’m thinking, ‘Was he raped? Was he drugged? Because he seemed drugged, because he’d lost four hours,” she said. And he said, ‘No. I just want to go home.” So, I just took him home. He was crying so much.”
The next day, he thanked her for picking him up, but brushed the whole thing off, saying he had a bad hangover. And she might have, too, if he hadn’t vanished five weeks later, after a similar night out with some of the same co-workers. (more...)
Over years of collecting amateur photography from the Second World War, German artist Martin Dammann kept noticing something odd: An awful lot of soldiers fighting for Nazi Germany seemed to enjoy dressing up like women.
“If the photos did not exist, you would not believe it,” Dammann told the German news magazine Der Spiegel earlier this month.
Cross-dressing among soldiers happened on all sides in both world wars. Most photos of the phenomenon are as a result of a theatre performance put together by troops: With no women around to play Ophelia or Celia Peachum, a man would be enlisted to fill the role for laughs...
But the phenomenon seemed to happen way more in German ranks, according to Dammann. This may be due to a longstanding German tradition of carnival cross-dressing.
Where many countries celebrate Mardi Gras with drinking and sexualized costumes, some German communities have a centuries-long tradition of treating it as a celebration of gender-bending.
In Cologne, one of the central mascots of the Carnival parade is “the virgin,” a pigtailed maiden that has been played by a man since the 1820s. (more...)
Something to know about the Proud Boys: Although some are white supremacists, their ideology is far-right ultranationalism. Branding them as a typical white supremacist gang is too narrow/simple. They have & will align with South/Central American ultranationalist gangs, too. 1/
Unlike typical white supremacist gangs, the Proud Boys have a "flexible" ideology when it comes to things like racial purity. One of their most well known members ("Tiny") is Samoan American. They have black, Asian, & Latino members.
While some members espouse more traditional white supremacist ideals, the Proud Boys as a group is less pro-white than it is anti-Muslim, anti-immigrant, anti-feminism, anti-liberalism/liberal democracy. And they love authoritarian-style strong men, death squads, & militarism. 3/
Now, that's not to say that the Proud Boys endorse racial equality. They don't. But they'll work with non-white people and groups to advance their ideology, which is fascism. And they're happy to use their non-white members as "proof" that they're not racist, though most are. 4/
The Proud Boys want to restore a social hierarchy in which white men are at the top, & they're happy to accept help from non-whites who are willing to accept their "place" in that hierarchy. But most of all, they reject the ideals of liberal democracy and want to destroy it. 5/
The Proud Boys are very much the face of the modern fascist movement, which is multicultural & transnational. The whole idea is to establish a brand that can exist in today's world, and that requires adopting a more flexible ideology in certain domains to achieve the end goal. 6/
The Proud Boys have very effectively exploited male resentment and backlash following cultural flashpoints like gamergate. Their recruitment grounds span the internet (men's rights forums, 4chan, 8chan, etc), video game culture, the metal scene, libertarianism, & more. 7/
The Proud Boys are very effective at recruiting young men and boys, including high-school age boys. (It's easier to indoctrinate young people than to change minds). They also feed off the outrage surrounding the so-called "free speech movement." 8/
The Proud Boys do have women who support them (more on that later), though women aren't allowed to be members. They also have ties to law enforcement in some areas (https://t.co/5mVyvZruZP) and their tentacles reach the upper ranks of Republican politics & right-wing media. 9/ pic.twitter.com/QGqSMZNUDh
The point of all this is to say that the Proud Boys very much represent the modern global resurgence of far-right ultranationalism, aka fascism. They're media savvy and very conscious of their image, which has allowed them to grow their membership with very little scrutiny. 10/
The Proud Boys were founded by Gavin McInnes in 2016 and have already established a presence in the US, Canada, Australia, Norway, & UK, among other places. They are extremely violent & have been engaging in public acts of violence regularly for at least a year and a half. 11/

Based on official government documents and extensive secondary literature, this book revises several old assumptions on the periods of peace and war. For the 1930s, Pauwels demonstrates that declining female university enrollments were caused neither by Nazi rhetoric nor anti-feminist campaigns but by the drastic drop in university-age population and the Depression. Despite their alleged egalitarianism, Nazi social and economic policies favored the access of middle- and upper-class women to higher education. The Third Reich was unsuccessful in creating an auxiliary female vanguard to serve in its leadership or welfare programs and failed to stop women from flocking into law, medicine, and engineering. It was WWII, not Nazism, that gave German women a dramatic improvement in higher education; increased numbers of women for a short time achieved unprecedented freedom and professional advancement though at war's end, these dramatic gains were lost.
Wonder why there aren't a lot of men on campus anymore?
A former Nova Scotia elementary school teacher will serve 15 months house arrest for sex crimes against two boys she used to teach, after a judge refused to sentence her to the mandatory minimum of one year in jail.
Judge Del Atwood handed down the sentence to Amy Hood, 40, Wednesday morning in Pictou provincial court, and called the one-year mandatory minimum grossly disproportionate in this case. Hood's offences were "more crimes of spontaneous opportunity rather than calculation," he said.
Hood was found guilty in April of sexual assault, sexual interference and luring involving two of her former students.
While Atwood noted Hood is highly unlikely to reoffend in a sexual manner, he was somewhat concerned by her trying to apportion some blame to her victims. He accepted evidence that Hood's bipolar disorder affected her behaviour. (more...)
A peaceful protest outside Toronto police headquarters turned ugly last night after demonstrators clashed with officers.
The group was continuing to protest the SIU’s decision not to lay charges against the officer who killed 45-year-old Andrew Loku when the tense exchanges between officers and demonstrators took place.
Shouting and shoving could be seen outside the College Street building as police took down the protesters’ tents and extinguished a fire.
On social media Monday night, police said officers needed to remove the items from the area due to safety concerns and added the peaceful protest would be permitted to continue.
Black Lives Matter Toronto also took to Twitter Monday night, accusing the officers of attacking protesters. (more...)
Professor Fiamengo discusses the modus operandi used by feminists to silence or destroy their critics. The example of Sage Gerard, who endured years of organized persecution at the hands of faculty at Kennesaw State University in Georgia, is used as a case study.
Professor Fiamengo discusses the bizarre rationale used by feminists at Ryerson University in order to silence men on campus while claiming that men attempt to silence women, a classic case of projection. Fiamengo is deeply concerned about the growing power that feminists exercise is silencing others at North American universities.
Police are warning York Region residents of an online extortion scam targeting men.
Several men have reported falling victim to the alleged scam, York Regional Police said in a statement on Tuesday.
In each case, citizens say they have been contacted on social media by unknown suspects posing as women, who encourage the men to remove their clothing and "perform a sex act" while in front of a computer. The acts are then recorded by webcam without the victims' knowledge or consent, police said.
Officers said the suspects then tell the victims that the videos will be released on social media and emailed to family and friends if the victims do not send them money by wire transfer.
Police believe that the instances are part of a worldwide extortion scam, and that there are likely more victims who have yet to come forward. (more...)
