A probe into alleged police corruption has been launched over claims a top aide to Margaret Thatcher escaped prosecution for indecency because of his Establishment links.
Sir Peter Morrison , the late Tory Prime Minister’s Parliamentary Private Secretary, was allegedly TWICE let off with a caution after being caught picking up men for sex in toilets.
The London Metropolitan Police are now trying to track down officers who were based at the West End Central police station near the loos at Piccadilly tube station where Morrison is said to have been arrested.
A second caution for a similar offence is highly unusual.
A person who accepts a caution admits the offence. A second offence is usually followed by a charge and prosecution. (more...)
