Windsor man arrested in child porn probe now facing sexual assault charges

a Windsor man in relation to an earlier child pornography arrest
A Windsor man arrested two weeks ago for possessing and accessing child pornography had 64 more charges laid against him Tuesday after police allegedly found videos on his computer of boys being sexually abused.

James Andrew Piche, 29, now faces 71 charges, including 10 counts of sexual assault and nine counts of sexual interference. The charges relate to three alleged victims aged 11 to 16.

Piche was one of 60 men arrested as part of a provincewide investigation which culminated with police conducting 99 raids over three days. After the raids, police began combing through the volumes of computer files they seized.

Windsor police have finished analyzing only one of several hard drives seized from Piche’s residence, Sgt. Matthew D’Asti said Tuesday.  (more...)
