Parents wise to sex ed "opt out"; know what the stink means


The offices of three local MPP's were visited by concerns parents and children protesting the new sex education curriculum.

They protested at Lisa Gretzky, Percy Hatfield and Taras Natyshak's offices for a couple of hours this morning.

They want implementation of the curriculum delayed at least a year for further consultations saying they don't think the information is age appropriate.

But they also say there have been mixed messages about whether parents can pull their child out class while the curriculum is being taught.

Parent John Azzopardi says opting out of the classes is a long tedious process.

Parent Tammy Moore has three boys in a catholic school and put in a request to opt out and was denied.  (more...)
