Cliff Richard abuse probe cops 'ready to hand evidence files to prosecutors'

Police investigating sex abuse claims against Sir Cliff Richard are poised to hand evidence files to prosecutors in the next two weeks, a source claims.

In the most significant development in the case since the star’s home was raided last year, detectives are understood to be ready to ask the CPS whether he should be charged.

The decision is likely to take months. An insider said yesterday: “D-Day is approaching for him. People thought it was all going to go away, but it isn’t.”  (more...)
