Retired CofE bishop faces trial for sex assault


A senior judge will decide whether a retired Church of England bishop is well enough to stand trial for alleged sex offences, the Old Bailey was told yesterday.

Peter Ball, 83, is accused of sexually assaulting young men and boys between 1977 and 1992 when he was Bishop of Lewes.
