Yukon Education's misguided rejection of Christian teaching on human sexuality

In Whitehorse, the Yukon Government has told the local Catholic bishop Gary Gordon that schools will not be able to educate students based on the Church's teaching when it comes to the subject of human sexuality, marriage and family. Yukon schools must teach the newly approved "Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Policy." This is the same strategy that's been forced on most provinces across the country under the misleading title of "equity and inclusive" education. The translation of these words in everyday English is that all schools must accept and promote everything that is gay, and this means same-sex marriage and nearly a dozen sexual orientations. This conflict between the Yukon Department of Education and the Church's teaching is a battle being fought right across Canada, at the United Nations and most of the entire West. It's a clear indication that Canada's politics of sex is more important than morality and virtue. The latest false gods of "equity," "inclusiveness" and "diversity" are being used to "legally" peddle moral lies about human sexuality, family and marriage in Canada schools.  (more...)
