Premier Wynne should now scrap the misguided sex-ed curriculum proposed in 2010

We now know that Benjamin Levin who has been charged with making and distributing child pornography served as the deputy minister of education from 2004 to 2009. This was the time when the Equity and Inclusive Education Strategy was being developed. The policy essentially forces all schools to teach about "sexual orientation," "gender identity" and establish gay/straight alliances. The 2010 sex-ed curriculum would introduce elementary students to explicit sexual topics such as anal sex and masturbation.

From the beginning many parents objected to the revised sex-ed curriculum and the government withdrew it. This was in 2010, but Premier Kathleen Wynne has said that she wants bring it back.  (more...)
