Ben Levin's work with province needs investigation: PCs

TORONTO - The Ontario government should investigate the activities of admitted child pornographer Ben Levin while he served as the province’s top education bureaucrat, Progressive Conservative MPP Sylvia Jones says.

Levin pleaded guilty Tuesday to charges of writing and possessing child pornography along with counseling to commit sexual assault.

The public has the right to know if he used a government computer to obtain or create child pornography, Jones insisted.

“We don’t know if government resources were used while this was happening and to me that’s the question that needs to be answered now by the minister of education,” Jones said Tuesday. “It’s put into question what he was doing while he was working for the provincial government.”  (more...)
